Stacey David is a very funny mechanic and also very knowledgeable when it comes to fixing old trucks,i love to send my old truck to him so he can do the stacey modified restoration, the old classic vehicles of American and forigen ones were easy to work on,
I think this truck looks good like it is now! I would prefer the old Cragar Wheels and BFG tires, and the spoked steering wheel that was on it before you started the refresh resto! I am just old school!
I bought an 86 k10 few years back for $5000. Ran and drive straight body little rust and had ac. It’s probably worth more now. All the ones that are cheap don’t run or are rusted out!
I still have my bike with a Banana seat. But mine has Ram Horn Handlebars! Those Bike's worked good for delivering the Sacramento Bee! I dug it out and started fixing it up again the other day.
Yep. That's what turns me off of watching these type of productions. It's all donated products and practically every tool you could need at the other end of a phone call....maybe I just need to read the purple bicycle book. 🤣🤣😡😡😡
The first 15min was one show, then goes to a second show. This is condensed. If you can’t change control arms, brakes and wheels in a weekend, This isn’t your cup of tea anyway. The suspension isn’t anything crazy, decent prices and I’m cheap. The brakes were way over kill, but you can do factory set up and be good.
@@brentfletcher3359 I agree. For most people wanting a weekend cruiser need new OEM brake components, slightly upgraded suspension parts and my polyurethane bushings and better shocks.
I bought a 75’ GMC one ton dually with 70,010 miles from the original owners granddaughter and yes, it’s been a California truck all it’s life, going to do an all custom Black and Tan scheme or Black and white, can’t decide
I was really hoping those were door magnets or vinyl decals ... and removable.. However thanks for the video .. despite the TV magic .. this may have inspired me to get going on mine again

Oh yes would have been nice to use all those nice parts when i did mine .But here in Canada those parts would cost so much although i did get some parts from the U.S. shipping was a killer .Great video thank you very nice truck well done
Holy crap it’s actually Stacy! Damn I started watching you just before you built project… copper head. That really sweet orange Chevy from early 2000’s subbed immediately and wish I could have found this sooner!
Rebuilding an older car/truck, you are not confined by EPA or any other government agent but can be a restromod allowing you to have all the bells/whistles. Besides you will have a one of a kind badass item, you'll know inside out
I had one of those trucks but it was a long bed. I didn't need 22's to fill the wheel wells! A fat set of American Racing 15X10's and some wide BFGs and I was good to go!
Another Great Video Always appreciate your time and effort to make sure that WE KNOW YOU CAN DO IT !!! really miss your program Have a Great Day 👍 God Bless America 🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸
Ah the good old days when 70s and 80s vehicles were affordable. That truck would easily be $15k+ today before building it up.

True. Hard to beat old school Cragars
True. It’s hard to beat old five spoke Cragars!
I love the front and rear bumpers especially the front with the lights
Hi Stacey! So glad to find your channel.
I used to watch TRUCKS! Back in the day.
Love your show(s)!
Seriously disappointed we didn't get to see the final drive, I always looked forward to that part the most.
Truck was built so long ago now, the prices wouldn't be relevant anymore.
@@BlueDually4x4 What ?
@@davids7349 think I commented on the wrong post.
The complete conversion in one! nice long episode. I love this car. He is the same age as me. Greetings from Germany.
By far one of your best shows!
Man whoever has Stacey as a dad and or grandpa is lucky.
I want to see Stacey restore a late ‘90s - early ‘00s ZR2 pickup or Blazer!
Man I have always loved watching Stacy on TV so glad I found his UA-cam been watching him for years on TV on gears
Had me a 1975 C10 short bed stepside in black with a 350 auto with cragars and I had gold tint on the windows......It absolutely looked sharp.
This truck started off looking better than most trucks I have owned
I know that's right!!! I didn't see much wrong with the way it was.😂😂😂
Cool truck before working on it, now it’s a badass truck, makes me wanna get to work on my 87 Silverado 4x4🤙🏼
Love the full-build videos! Keep em coming Son. 💪
I got the dvd years back. This is probably my favorite Gearz build. Nice to see Copperhead there, too.
Thank you!
Great Build. Great Soundtrack. Great Job!
Thanks a lot!
"You can do this" then he goes down the rabbit hole and starts replacing stuff which starts running in the thousands of dollars.
And reusing 50 dollar clapped-out springs. Haha.
Yup lmao the billet specialties steering wheel alone is $400 and the billet specialties wheels are about $2500
All of the parts featured on Gearz can be had for JUST 3 Easy payments of....$49 99 9999.00
This has always been my favorite show.
1973 was the first year of the legendary squarebody GM truck.
Very nice build. This started as a 10k truck and is probably worth over 20 now!
These shows crack me up! They make it all sound like a weekend project! And its so simple NOT!!! And its not easily affordable either!!!
Yep. That's what turns me off of watching these type of productions. It's all donated products and practically every tool you could need at the other end of a phone call....maybe I just need to read the purple bicycle book. 🤣🤣😡😡😡
The work and tools are fairly simple in my garage but the just the first 15minutes of the video has you spending about $5k in suspension and brakes.
Who wants to daydream about making a car stock?
And the kits really are a better deal than buying individual components
I bought a 75’ GMC one ton dually with 70,010 miles from the original owners granddaughter and yes, it’s been a California truck all it’s life, going to do an all custom Black and Tan scheme or Black and white, can’t decide
I was really hoping those were door magnets or vinyl decals ... and removable..
However thanks for the video .. despite the TV magic .. this may have inspired me to get going on mine again
Mannnn!!! Stacey David is the best!!! Awesomeness!! I have a original 1984 Silverado k 10. 4+4. Had my Chevrolet for 23 years & I would have Stacey work on my truck 🛻 anytime, any day!
While Stacey is an icon, I’ve always wondered when he would build something I didn’t like. Well this is it.
ITS JUST THAT EASY! Have all the right tools! A huge garage! And a Lyft! ITS JUST THAT EASY
Oh yes would have been nice to use all those nice parts when i did mine .But here in Canada those parts would cost so much although i did get some parts from the U.S. shipping was a killer .Great video thank you very nice truck well done
Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
I LOVE these videos! It's inspiring me to finish my truck!
Glad to hear it!
Holy crap, I'd have a breakdown if I could find a truck that old with a body like that!
Craig Bauman you are the man. this format is so great to see an entire build. Thank you.
I also remember when you got the big silver truck and restored it and I love it
I love your show and I'm glad you are on UA-cam
Holy crap it’s actually Stacy! Damn I started watching you just before you built project… copper head. That really sweet orange Chevy from early 2000’s subbed immediately and wish I could have found this sooner!
Awesome! Glad you found the channel.
Sweet square body. Fantastic job on the truck.
Thanks 👍
21 years together and my daily C10 is still a work in progress😂.
"this is the Best easy to understand, friendly and Coolest video I've Ever seen!😮 and the friendliest easy to see details I've ever seen ".3👍👍👍up!😊
ps;Sir may God continue to bless you and your business and Family.amen.
Glad you liked it!
Wow.......what a awesome build!
i realy like all your projects and attitude BUT NOBODY HAS A UNLIMITED BUDGET LIKE YOU
Rebuilding an older car/truck, you are not confined by EPA or any other government agent but can be a restromod allowing you to have all the bells/whistles. Besides you will have a one of a kind badass item, you'll know inside out
I had one of those trucks but it was a long bed. I didn't need 22's to fill the wheel wells! A fat set of American Racing 15X10's and some wide BFGs and I was good to go!
Mr David you a great teacher, awesome
Another Great Video Always appreciate your time and effort to make sure that WE KNOW YOU CAN DO IT !!! really miss your program
Have a Great Day 👍
God Bless America 🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸
You've done a great
