    Glad to see a testimony from someone from Mother Teresa's congregation, it's important to point out abuses in religious systems.
    One thing though, it'd be nice if you added subtitles to this video for accessibility purposes, especially since two different languages are spoken throughout the video.

    Between 1960s and 1980s there has been an extensive psychological research done by Fr L.M. Rulla SI on clergymen and religious, which showed that 60-80% of them do not show any development in their psychological sphere during the formation process. Even though Fr. Rulla was a professor of the Gregorian University in Rome, the results of his work are not commonly known in the Church and are not taken into account by those who are in charge of formation. This is very sad.

    The mc’s are very, very hardcore. It is a very hard way for anyone from the modern west. The Indian sisters fare much better. I’ve heard this from various bishops. They’ve become very careful about the vocations because it’s been so difficult for non natives.
    At the same time, some of the things she’s mentioning are too much. Christ didn’t ask us to be masochists. Humans are not infalliable. I am so sad she’s experienced this.

    There are so many things wotjin this order that dont make any sense, only those who had live there know. The order received millions of dollars in donations, but sisters keep begging and not paying for buses, food etc. They will make you eat spoil food with the excuse this is for Jesus, if you sre sick they will say its because you just eant to call the attention, sick sisters with cancer wont be taken to the doctor. People in the homes (poor people, women, children, etc) they are not allowed to have washing machines, dryers, good clothing etc, also with the excuse they have to be poor. Sisters sometimes will have good food and the people we serve not.
    As she says, the Mother Superior was the Word of God, so whatever she said has to be obeyed, even this eas a total crazy nonsense...
    You cannot share any personal issue, mental problems, sadness, everything will be adressed as : " you are not in a good relationship with Jesus" etc etc

    I thank God for sending that priest into your life to help you find your freedom of conscience again. I do not believe Jesus wants us to serve others without the ability to have a sense of self, to express ourselves, to have relationships, to have our own needs met, to be fully human and to pursue our God-given uniqueness. Indoctrination, regimentation, control, silencing, guilting, and shaming destroys spirits. The "suffering servant" is a symbolf of oppression, not love. We serve better in freedom and happiness and we need the support of others. A community must communicate and have positive relationships among all levels. How can we bring joy and peace to others if we cannot have it in our own lives? You are loved!

      Anna gives a testimony that is not a personal complaint about having a bad time in the congregation she chose, but rather that Anna bears witness to a phenomenon called abuse of conscience, for which she has no responsibility. The victims of abuse of conscience are not guilty of being victims of abuse.

    • @annaadamcikova4496
      @annaadamcikova4496 8 місяців тому +2

      Anna spoke about an aspect that seems very relevant to me, which is the idea of obedience and obedience as a way to reach holiness, united to the place of the superior , supplanting the voice of God.
      These tree anchors are tremendously harmful, we are speaking of a congregation where there is no abuser with a psychiatric disorder as in a case of Karadima ( Chilean priest),where we have a perverse abuser, a person who intends to dominate the other for his personal good.
      In this case, the complicated thing is that there is a culture, a culture of beliefs, they are actions linked to this beliefs and that is where the problem is found.

    • @annaadamcikova4496

      In the catholic context,abuse of conscience is a type of abuse of legal or spiritual power that control the conscience of the victim to the point that abuser,taking place of God,obstructs or nullifies the victim ‘s freedom of judgment and prevents him o her from being alone with God in his o her conscience.This type of abuse is perpetrated by a representative of the church who is endorsed by the church as trustworthy therefore abuse of conscience always has an institutional dimension.

    The sisters of Charity are amazing! Are there broken people in there? Or course? I doubt upon leaving she never found another broken person again. There is always the cross. I’m sorry to hear of the bad things that happened, but I’m sure she could have spoken to 1,000,000 changed lives. I am not tough enough to be part of this and I’m not called, but there is no place in this broken world without broken people. I pray for her healing and we all need to pray for the religious who work heroically. We need more dedicated sisters so badly! Our identity is in Christ.

    parece muy claro, desde el primer día, que no había vocación. Entrar en las misioneras de la caridad y querere tener tiempo para una misa, espacio personal... es como entrar en la Cartuja y querer pasar el día hablando... no tiene sentido. Entiendo el dolor del fracaso de un proyecto personal, pero ese es el error... confundir eso con la vocación.. Actualmente hay más de 5000 mujeres que viven esa vocación, con sus cruces, pero felices de entregar su vida a Cristo. La que no, que se salga. Pero acusar a una congregación como ellas, con el fruto tan impresionante que han dado, de todo esto... es muy triste, es injusto. Hoy, día de Madre Teresa, le pido por vosotros, le pido por ti Anna. Seguro que ella desde el cielo intercede por tu felicidad y tu camino de santidad.

    • @franciscoprochaska4500
      @franciscoprochaska4500 9 місяців тому +3

      Estimado, quisiera aportar que el problema no es la falta de vocación. Lo demuestra el deseo de santidad de las religiosas, quienes sin duda, se entregan con heroísmo y abnegación a una causa tan noble. Es lo que hizo Anna. No hay duda que Dios lo tiene en cuenta. El problema está en que las personas que deseamos ser fieles y de verdad entregados, ponemos a las autoridades (superiora, director espiritual, pastor, o quien ejerce la posición de maestro ante un discípulo) en un lugar en nuestra conciencia, donde nadie debería interferir en nuestra relación con Dios. Y ellos, los que están en posición de maestros deben cuidar de evitar eso. Y cuando no lo hacen y comienzan a abusar de esa posición que nosotros mismos les damos, movidos por las virtudes de la obediencia, humildad, renuncia de si mismo, entre otras, nos encontramos con el abuso espiritual y de conciencia. Así se dan las circunstancias como las que describe Anna, que se negó a si misma por amor a Dios, y nadie de la congregación cuidó que no se abusara de eso. Eso fue vocación, y su relato deja claro que se abusó de su entrega. El fruto de las obras de la congregación es muy bueno, pero ¿a qué costo de las religiosas? ¿Es necesario que se las trate como relata Anna? ¿Es lo que quiere Dios? Le hago este aporte con el sincero deseo de aportar una visión de una persona que también vivió el abuso espiritual, en otro contexto, y en el cual también ocurrían cosas muy buenas, pero el líder a quién seguí, se extralimitó ampliamente en su intervención sobre mí, aduciendo que la obediencia era el camino a la santidad. Y fui obediente, de lo cual me alegro. Volvería a vivir mi fe así, pero no en manos de un abusador de conciencia. Pienso que Anna ha sido muy valiente al dar la cara, y está ayudando a que las cosas en la congregación sean mejores, por el bien de la Iglesia , de las hermanas que están hoy ahí, y por los frutos que se esperan de su entrega y abnegada labor.

      Very unkind. She is indeed still living the vocation of every Christian - hearing the will of God and doing it. God may have called her into the Missionaries of Charity and then called her out of it for other purposes. Discerning and following God's lead every day is what a vocation is (vocare = to call); it is not merely a particular way of life. True spirituality helps you develop and become your best self; it does not destroy your personality and spirit. We have a responsibility to be whom God created us to be, not to be how someone else decides we must be to suit their preferences. Being our best selves and finding where we can become our best selves is the reason we were created. Unfortunately, her story is not unique. Those who direct spiritual or religious groups must be very careful to nurture those for whom they are responsible. Mistakes will be made because we are all human, but common sense and kindness should prevail. She was called beyond the Missionaries because her best self is needed elsewhere. That is discipleship and her true vocation.
