    Finally. A simple straightforward video without an annoying intro, sponsors, asking to like and subscribe, etc.

    This is way easier than I thought! Great video and I’m not scared anymore lol! I just settled on “downgrading” my full frame (way more camera than I need) but didn’t want to give up filters! Thank you!

    I cant recommend this, after a month the glue just dried out and the filter holder came off. Very disappointing.

    • @Lunaray100
      @Lunaray100  3 роки тому +3

      Hi Nolaan, email us at info@lensmateonline.com and we will send you a new Part 1 - say oked by Susan. Then understand that it is not glue but rather a 3M adhesive, and if used as intended will last for many years on your camera. The key is to remove Part 2 from the camera to screw or unscrew your filter then bayonet to Part 1. The 3M adhesive is nice and secure but does not do well with twisting or rubbing. We have sold this system for over 15 years. In fact Sony out of Japan placed a large order as a promo to include with their Sony RX100 series.

    Does the adhesive stick well enough that the filters don't fall off or anything? Is the key securing the filter to that adapter first before screwing onto the camera? Thanks.

    • @Lunaray100
      @Lunaray100  5 років тому +1

      This custom system will last for years on your camera if you follow our important tips which are on the same page as the install video on our website. People who have trouble with the adhesive did not do one of the steps below.
      1) when installing our Part 1 take the time once the Part 1 is on the camera, and the zoom lens retracted and the camera on its back on a table - press down firmly with both thumbs at 3 oclock and 9 oclock, then move to 2 oclock etc. you want to make sure that the entire surface of Part 1 is strongly attached to the camera.
      2) Then ALWAYS screw and unscrew your 52mm filter from Part 2 off the camera - then bayonet to Part 1. The 3M adhesive is nice and secure with a filter but does not do well with twisting or shear forces.
      3) always remove Part 2 first before putting the camera into a camera bag, again to protect the adhesive from rubbing.

    Does it work in zoom mode (200mm) or only in wide mode ? I don’t see in the video what happens when zooming.

    • @Lunaray100
      @Lunaray100  4 роки тому +2

      There is no vignetting throughout the entire focal range. That is because the filter is attached to the end of the camera zoom lens, so the camera is unaware of it - the filter moves in and out with the zoom lens from wide to tele.

    • @Lunaray100
      @Lunaray100  4 роки тому

      The Sony HX99 has a much smaller built in lens, so non of our quick change filter adapters would be compatible. Sorry about that.

    Would this one work with the new Sony ZV-1 or do you have one specifically for the ZV-1?

    • @Lunaray100
      @Lunaray100  4 роки тому +1

      No this will not work. The Sony ZV1 is actually more like the Sony RX100V - and our Kit for the RX100V Part 1 & 2 will work we are just waiting to have the ZV1 camera in hand to see if the install tool will fit. You can go to our website and sign up on our interested parties list and we will email you once we can confirm.

    nice! does it stick out much further with it on? how does it perform?

    • @Lunaray100
      @Lunaray100  5 років тому +1

      Part 2, the actually filter holder bayonets to Part 1- the 2 parts together add 1/8 of an inch. As long as you always screw and unscrew your 52mm filter from Part 2 off the camera and then bayonet to Part 1 the system will last on the camera for many years. We have sold this custom system for over 8 years with 300,000+ Kits sold. In fact Sony out of Japan placed a large order last year for our RX100 V Quick Change Filter Adapter Kit so they could include our Kit in a promo for the RX100 V cameras.

    • @Lunaray100
      @Lunaray100  5 років тому +2

      @@MingTyhMaa Since the Sony case is a fitted case there is not room to close the top with the quick change filter adapter attached, but you can remove Part 2 and store it elsewhere leaving the compact receiver on the camera - then the top will close.

    • @Lunaray100

      The last RX100 series camera with the built ND was the mk5 I believe. They traded a longer lens for that feature. My mk4 has it and it's super helpful so I might look into this product for my MK7.

    • @Lunaray100
