I Finally get to introduce the new MagFilter system from Carry Speed found here: goo.gl/rQign
The MagFilter system allows you to use filters on high end compact point and shoot cameras with retractable lenses. Right now they are releasing the Polarizer filter in 42mm and 36mm with an ND filter and other sizes to follow.
The larger 42mm MagFilter will fit on cameras like the Sony HX9V, HX10V, HX20V, HX30V, or even the popular Sony RX100. The 36mm MagFilter will work perfectly on smaller cameras like the Canon Powershot S95 or Canon S100. For more information visit goo.gl/rQign

Not sure, but you can download a template from the Carry Speed site. Print it out, cut it out, and fit it over your lens. That will determine if it fits.

There is a video on their website showing it in use with a G15. I suggest getting the 52mm or 55mm threaded Magfilter adapter.

Yup, works exactly like the original MagFilter. I'll be publishing a video very soon on this, so subscribe to the channel or check back on my blog.

Get the 52mm or 55mm threaded adapter for the RX100. Check the website.

They have the filter type where you can use your own ND filter. Check out the Carry Speed website.

It's one or the other. If you get the threaded type you can add your own CPL glass of your choice.

Great Video, I really like that. I have a canon g7x mark ii. Could you give me an advice of which size (36 or 42) should I buy to fit the best? Thanks a lot

Ok, uploaded a new bump test video to show strength of magnets. Thanks.

You can remove it if you really wanted to, but it sticks pretty good.

Hi. I love the filter, but the lens ring kept moving due to a too tight camera bad (my mistake). Now the glue has come off (on both rings) and I need spare lens rings. Is there a place to purchase them? (I bought it in 2015)
    Thanks!

I heard they keep falling off easily and the magnets are not strong enough. Thoughts on this?

I have one for a while and unfortunately i still didn't find a trick to quicky switch for polarizing water or air. Do you have a trick?

I noticed the filter also changes the White Balance of the image, making it much more yellow. Have you noticed it?

42mm...do you get any vignetting? I just bought a 49mm for my RX100m3, and will try it in the next few days. Some users online say that you can get vignetting with the 49mm aswell, and that 52mm and 55mm are much safer bets to avoid this effect. What's your view?

John D I would suggest getting at least the 55mm or 58mm kit and just using your own filters.

MrCheesyCam Exactly, would be my advice, too. I did it the same way.

Did you end up buying one? I have this camera too, printed out the template and still can't decide on the 36mm or 42mm ring.

Of course there's no loss in sharpness, why would a point and shoot have the best ground glass or sensor?
The biggest problem is filters can give reflections.

The link is dead. The main website is "Ultra Wide Neoprene shoulder PAD", and at the bottom "Carry Speed products are NOT for sale in the USA Market ". Nice. On to find another product for my RX100 V

All good except Magfilter AKA Monopod (their other product) have no list of what cameras their filters do and don't work with. I'm in the UK and tried to ask their assistance for a Canon G16, not an unusual camera, but after multiple emails to try to establish whether it would fit I got just a PDF drawing of the rings, so yes, it would physically be the right diameter, but as most photographers know, its important to know if a filter will cause vignetting - dark corners of the image, at wide angle zoom setting. Imagine an extreme case, I fit a toilet roll to the front of my camera lens, sure it is the right diameter to clear the lens, but guess what, it partly obscures the picture. They just could not even seem to understand that concept, never mind tell me if it would or wouldn't cause the problem.
On 14th August, the last of 8 emails, they eventually replied
Thank you for your patience and understanding. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We have referred this to our tech department and will let you know as soon as we get an answer. Once again we apologize for the inconvenience and we really appreciate your business. Thank you and have a great day.
    Sincerely,
    MogoPod
I have heard nothing since, it is now December. Really frustrating as if it does work without vignetting with my camera it would be just what I want.
