Jared Polin sir can tell me that Sony rx100vi has panaromic mode or not? Sir please can u tell me🙂
yes
yes of course
You should do some live podcasts
Oh don’t mind me officer. I’m just photographing small children in the park to put in a video I share with strangers on the internet.
On a for profit youtube channel without getting release forms from those filmed.
@@damham5689 it's a public space lol, why would you need paperwork?? And maybe he could have had a dialogue with the family who he took multiple shots of
These “real world reviews” are a class above any other camera review on this platform. Great job Jared. I love how you provide your thoughts when composing images and walk us through the photographs or videos you take. Way fun to watch
Real world review - always great production value. I especially like the smooth pannings and the fresh music choices. Thanks Jared, Stephen and to everybody else who worked hard on this...
Shots are much more cinematic than before, truly loved it!!
Really love your video! You explain everything so clearly. gonna buy this camera tomorrow:D
Which one did you get?
This review is awesome, love the detailed critique. Very very helpful. And well produced.
Didn't understand half of what you said but this was so helpful! :) Can't decide if I should get it for my new vlogging cam.
Fly With Stella no external mic jack on this camera.
Well thanks for mentioning what your current is!
Fro - just watched your RX100 VI review. Nice job. Enjoyed - as I have it's big brother and am considering... IMHO you provide a fair assessment. Thanks, dale
These are by far the best reviews I've seen.
Thanks for the review - very enjoyable and informative. I've got an earlier version of this camera, the RX100-M2, and use it in a housing while scuba diving. The raw ability is essential to getting the lighting right under water. I've used it for a lot of shots in the past few years and really like it except for the lack of a real macro mode. I'm keeping an eye on the new models for a replacement so this is very helpful. Cheers.
I love your reviews Jared, you rock! I wonder which camera you’ve been using to film this footage? The quality is superb. Thank you.
How were you able to adjust the RAW files in Lightroom? Has Adobe release an update...or did you get access to the beta?
Your real world review of the M4 pushed me into the world of Sony photography. When I first heard about the M6 I was excited and waited for your review...and I think I'll hold on to my M4 for a bit longer...or at least until that $1200 price comes down a bit. Great review though!
Hey Jared really enjoyed both 5 and 6 reviews, good job!. I am curious to know which of the 2 would you go with from a pros point of view? Thanks
love ur hair. great vids. And thanks for it! keep up the great job!
Woah, I don't know is it because of the editing or something I can't tell but the content quality seems to be bumped a lot so I see what u were talking about in your latest podcast.
Thumbs up for this great new and fresh editing style 👍🏼
Your reviews on gear are awesome!
thanks for the great info! much appreciated
Smooth af b-roll.
Jared, fantastic video with great tips for street photography and great details about this little Sony. It seems as though it would be great for travel photos.
Great video as always, keep it up man.
Jared, this review is a great photography school. We can see the whole process of framing and taking great pictures - amazing! I wish I could shoot such photos with my DSLR...
Amazing blue and green background and great editing as always!!! Awesome awesome awesome!!!
Enjoyed the editing and good review, I always appreciate your succinctness, would make a good backup travel camera. I can't wait for the day when they make a adequately lit, super intuitive full touch LCD screen.
Great and Pro review Man !!! you and your team are awesome and very pro ! Congrats !
awesome review .Love your style of photography.:)
Regarding the “dainty” nature. I use a Sony leather case which offers good protection, looks great and makes it super easy to carry. I’d never go out without it.
I have an RX100 v and a RX10 iv. I’ve found them a great combination to travel with although the sensor does have some limitations in low light.
Would it matter if I just use it in automatic mode for every shoot? Because I don’t really know about the ISO or aperture etc. would it be a huge different between automatic mode and manual mode?
Thanks Jarid for the excellent review!!!
Hey, I've got this camera and still can't open the RAW files in Lightroom or Photoshop. Does anyone has a solution or do I have to wait for the next update?
Thanks :-)
Hey Jared, i haven't finish it yet your review actually im in 2:00 but you tackle one of the best detailed review on this camera.. Zooming and F Stop!
Keep it up. 👊
Always love your reviews and the tone of your voice. I really wish Sony built in some grip and made the camera less boxy, but well... Thanks for this review.
Great review. Anxious to see a review by you of the RX-10 IV. Seems tto check off masny more boxes as an all in one camera
me too, would love a comparison between the two
Nice pics! And pretty amazing what you can get out from a small point and shoot like that! 😊
You guys delved into the "UA-cam cinematic vlogger boi" side of yourselves for the b-roll. Hate to say it, but I'm not mad about that.
how were you able to make DNG files from the raw? my bud just bought this and lightroom and adobe DNG converter is not updated to open the .arw files. what program did you use to convert them to DNG?
Hey the style of this video was amazing, keep it this way
Hi Jared, color photo shown in video look very colorful, what software or program did you use on raw or are they out of camera jpeg
I like your reviews. Thumbs up for exciting videos!
You really got some beautiful photos. I really like your composission. Really inspiring stuff to see :-)
wow your video image quality is superb, love it
Love the hair! Thanks,Finally a camera review that shows you what the hell you’re talking about as you’re doing it,
and shows you real results by an obvious professional ! Sorry....Man it just took me 20 videos to find one that showed me what the Camera could do. It’s a real pain in the ass! keep up the good work!!
Thanks 🙏
true spoken my friend ... :-)
Man, first time here and I'm in love already! Thx for the detailed honest review, gonna buy this one.
It's always worth to listen until the end of your video ! hahaah funny ending again man ! lol
I've seen some negative digs at Mr P. but I thought this was a pretty clear, honest review. Good job! I've subscribed. What more can I say?
I think I'd go with the V because the 2.8 - 4.5 is a dealbreaker to me.
always the best reviews on the internet thumbs up
does the rx100 vi have 4k 60fps possibilities
Thanks for a very nice review.
Jared, kno any way to connect an external mic to this camera without needing to sync audio in post? thinking a usb c or hdmi adapter to 3.5 mm audio jack? not liking the idea of a zoom recorder ✌
Great job on the review... how did you manage to open the raw images you shot? Lightroom CC and Photoshop plus DNG converter will not open or convert the files......
My mom bought the VI and I‘m just impressed, how far they have come with the RX100 series. The image quality ist impressive for such a small camera and I would go for this one before purchasing a mFT or something like it for traveling etc.
She bought an IV some years before and the combination is like having a lot of stuff in you bag.
I think a lot of people underestimate those cameras.
What it is really missig in this version, is the F1.8 at the widest. Thats the one of the two things I have to complain with the VI/VII. In this point, Sony should think about something like the lens in the GX5 II. The IV-VA are litte beasts even on events or weddings. I shot with my old RX100 I in parallel to my A7RIII and I love the results of the I. It’s more grain, buts it’s more private, so I get images I don’t get with the Alpha. Fros style of edeting his images is hard for these files. If you’re some one who goes more for an overall softer film look, these cameras are perfect.
The G5X II also comes with the old style EVF from the RX100 IV-VA and you might not like the way how you have to pull it out, but your eye leashes dont touch the surface of the EVF the hole time, with this construction.
So I’m between the VI/VII/ and GX5 II now.
Great Review!!! Thank You. In other hand, if you had to buy a point n shoot camera, which one would you choose? taking into account the image quality and focus. Tnx
Well the photographs you took with it made me want one. Skills, you have skills!
I have an rx10m3 and have lost internal mics while still having external mics. any suggestions.
Great review. I just got this camera used. One thing you should have shown is the comparison of the raw after editing vs the in camera KPG after editing. In my first few shoots with this camera I shot RAW+JPG and edited my RAW files, converted them to JPG, and compared them to the native in camera JPG. I was blown away on how much less noise and the quality of the in-camera conversion. I may not be shooting RAW with this camera anymore saving a lot of time.
You rise the level of your videos one more time :).
No matter you reviewed a toy this time, it's pleasure to watch it :).
A t o y - ... wow.
Very nice review. How did you process the RAW files? I don’t think LR supports the camera yet.
Nice video, very well explained
This isn't a vlogging camera. Yes good shots. Thorough review!
Very good video! Thanks!
I have a MK V that I use all the time for Street and absolutely love it, but I also use the ND and shoot at 1.8 regularly so I unfortunately will not be upgrading... That said, never drop one of these... I did and I had to get pliers to bend the battery compartment back out so the door would close, then file down the rough aluminum to smooth so it didn't scratch me and my clothes every time I used it. It survived for sure, and still works a year after the drop just fine with zero issues... It's just not pristine anymore... It fell out of a jacket pocket as I was walking, and took a good bounce on the concrete so I'm actually surprised that the superficial marks were all that were done lol
Maybe get the VA!
I enjoyed your review because you get right to details. I do have a question/suggestion: can you use two of the same cameras you are reviewing in future reviews? So the camera recording you is also the camera your using. I think you would have a much more informative review so we can see really what the particular camera can do including pictures videos vlogs and even here on UA-cam. Thanks and keep up the good work!
I was trying to convince myself not to buy this camera. Now im going to buy it. Quick question: does it over heat quickly like the sonya5100?
Damn those B-rolls look cinematic af!
Anybody know what song he’s playing in the background?
good video.. b-roll shots quality have increased drastically.. nice..
Great video jared!
Yes! Thank you!!!
Nice video Jared. Greetings from Puerto Rico :)
Fantastic video Fro, well done mate... thumbs up :-)
Just a small thing re: fragile, not sure about the VI but I've had the original version for 6 years and it's been with me every day in my bag. And the bag's been on a heap of motorbike rides, overseas travel, survived being thrown in the ute (pick up) every day going to construction jobs being used to snap jobs in progress and final results and it's still going great. Only thing failing is the coating on the rear screen making it increasingly harder to see what I'm shooting in strong light. Got the leather case for it at time of purchase which has worked well.
So how did you guy’s like shooting with the Sony a9 ?
Such a good review. Did you notice differences in the aperture when you shot? I would love a low light review.
Great video!
One thing that I sorely miss is some comparison in less ideal light settings, like indoors or night. Basically, I would like to know how much worse it really is for indoors compared to previous models, to decide if upgrade is worth it.
A big thanks fro u’r the best
Yes. I enjoy ‘real’ world reviews. I particularly like ones like yours that are ‘balanced’ neither doing a sales pitch nor completely rubbishing a camera like this. As you say there will always be some trade(s) off. Not matter which camera you buy or choose. ‘Horses for courses’ as they say here in the UK. Thanks.
A real review. Thanks for it
Love that audio library music
No copy right music
Yea, I swear in 15 years we're going to all have a very specific recollection of "youtube vlogger music", they all use the same stuff.
best pocket cam with incredible ability to shoot awesome photos
Hey Jared! Awesome content. Any thoughts on the LUMIX Lx 10? Thanks
How did you get DNG raw? I am only able to find AWD file which Lightroom does not support
can it zoom while vlogging ?
Great B-roll
Nice review, can i use camera for time laps connected on charger or powerbank?
2:07 5 minute video clips is a non-starter, but thanks for the excellent review.
This video was amazing. Great job! It seemed like you and Peter McKinnon were hanging out because of that buttery smooth b-roll 😂. Anyways, great video man!! If you weren’t hanging out him, maybe you should. I’d love to see some videos with the two of you guys.
Jared I haven't seen your videos in a while. After seeing this one. You are still the man.
Fair enough and nice review. Probably the most important step back of this model that you referred is the lost of the ND filter.
Gotta say I really like how you shot B-Roll for this real world review
Good review. One thing that all reviewers of the RX100M5 miss is that when you shoot jpg, the zoom range is 70-280. As you mentioned in your review, the jpg's looked good.
Jared what do you think about the adobe subscription model? You never own that software? I wanted to ask your opinion about it because i am interested in the photography subscription model
Great review Jared! :-)
Still happy with my Rx100 IV!
Do you know if you can set it to take one photo every "x" seconds and refocus for each one?
Hello,
what about the zoom? Was it enough for your purposes?
Keep in mind, I m making a hit with my street video in Pattaya and I m using a mark 3. Think about what I could do if I was using the mark 6?
Thanks for a perfect camera review Jared, it looks small but it’s worth it.
Good info, I think I'll wait to upgrade from my 1930 Kodak Brownie box camera.
