Dude, I’ve become a huge fan of yours. I grew up in the San Fernando Valley had a sailboat in Marina Del Rey and now live in Idaho. Love to go over memories that you bring up for me. Thank you
@@whoisharo4689 because California became a liberal shit hole so I bought a house in the woods on 20 acres it’s not quite as good as the ocean but it’s pretty damn nice. I wake up in the morning with anything from deer, turkeys, moose and every now and then we have a bear that shows up. of course he’s not so welcome
Yeah I was raised in southern Calif, in the 60s and 70s it was so much fun in those days it was crazy and things weren't so expensive or nothing cuz we were poor but it was fun I kind of miss that.
I loved Griffith Park. So many sweet memories. When my son was little, he loved the Carousel and riding the ponies. He was born in Los Angeles in 1963 and passed away in 2012 in Tulsa 😢. My parents had an apartment on Rodney Drive and had a balcony and we could see the Hollywood sign and Griffith Park was so easy to get to. I can see you have so many followers and they all love your videos. I try not to miss any of your videos. They make me happy, a little melancholy but mostly I enjoy seeing all of my favorite places. Dankeschön ❣️
Makes me miss LA so much but I love the GIV taking us all over LA ..I live in Palm Desert now..used to live in DTLA..I wishing I could move back! Sounds crazy right. Sending hugs to u! Sweet comment for the GIV ❤️
It’s wonderful how your love of movies and entertainment goes back so far. I watched “oldies” at my Grandmother’s house but they were new to me and brought to life from the greats that came before. That’s how you could see a movie if it wasn’t in the theater. At the same time the great art of film got better and better with sound and effects and cutting edge writers and film editors and actors. We are lucky to be fans and lucky to have you bring all of it into perspective. Thank you for great fun.
When I go to the doctors at UCLA we hang out at Westwood yes in-and-out I love that place I've been to the cemetery to they have a lot of famous people buried there love your video👍
GIV and Thomas what a fascinating little cemetery with all those big name stars buried there.I love your matchups GIV as it brings the whole film history to life.Keep on doing whay you're doing!!!!
I was there about 1 year ago on memorial service for Marilyn Monroe 8/5/22, 60th anniversary of her death organized by Marilyn Remembered Fan Club. Soooo emotional experience. thank you for the video
GIV… I was just in LA for the first time. Where James Dean is standing by the telescope, there is a pole behind him. If you look over the wall, a piece of the pole is still there, in the ground. Love you videos ! Jim from Pittsburgh.
Incredible that there is so many well known celebrities buried in that location. I’m all set with knowing my time to go. When it happens, it happens. Nothing any of us can do about it anyway 😆 Thanks Mike and Thomas and hello 👋 to Mom in Germany 🇩🇪
Hello "Papa Sucker"(c.1925) that is the original name of Sugar Daddy chewy caramel candy. One of my few favorites! The Bruins movie theater use to make popcorn with real butter! Yum! 🦋💗
Good to see everything you show us today. Looks great. Like the suger daddy hat thats a candy bar with a lollipop stick on it. Mozart lol bus head.😊 Thanks again for sharing Mike. Awesome 😎👍
Westwood cemetery is a peculiar cemetery as it's tucked into small lot in between a bunch of tall office buildings - I remember I had a hard time looking for it the first time I visited, but eventually I found it
When I was a kid back in the '50's, my friends and I would go to the movies on Saturday morning, and for 25 cents we saw many cartoons, a double feature, and for 5 cents, a box of Sugar Daddy's. Cheers! :)
Hello Mike hello Tommy San Simon❤️❤️💔🐶 that tenderness the lady sitting with her dog beautiful the panorama 😍Mythical Michael Jackson ❤️❤️❤️thanks for the video
I noticed in the same column as Florence Henderson is also Lloyd Bochner, he's one of my favorite actors of all time - I think most people remember him from that famous "Twilight Zone" episode called "To Serve Man"
Husband speaking age 80, when I was about age 7, i liked to go into the shoe repair shop in Edmonds, Wash. 1950 - I won't insult the old man by trying to spell his name, but possible German. He would actually make a shoe for you if you wanted, shoe or boot. I'm sure that skill is almost gone now, it is all by machine.
Great stuff “Sugar Daddy in Venice”. 😉 Love the match ups. You have good friends. Don’t forget”SugarBabies”. Droplets of sugar daddies covered by chocolate. Huh. Like a milk dud.
Hey dude. My wife and I just stopped by your store tonight and you were so very generous and kind to talk to us and give us a couple of your stickers. Many thanks!
Ah, We were all lost in that moment when we thought we would see the, GiV in a moon shot at the LA observatory, what a site that would have been to behold, LOL.
In the 70s and 80s Westwood was like Hollywood always crowded and movie theaters everywhere couldn't find parking then. Loved it. Saw Kentucky fried movie there when it came out
GiV, your humor and excellent videos bring me so much joy and happiness! I appreciate your hard work so much. Thank you for all you do. I hope I can meet you someday when I visit California!
You and Tommy make a good team. Tell Tommy to keep coming back. We like to see both of you. You guys are good friends. Nice video. Westwood village used to be SO popular. Back in the 80’s and 90’s. Until there was a gang related shooting. Poor young woman got shot by accident. She was killed. Then everything went downhill. Too bad.
Hi Mike, I'm watching all your videos and I have so much fun. I am watching them close to your hometown, from Duisburg. Greetings and all the best for you!
Love James Dean. I have his autograph. My father bought it for me in 94, my 21st Bday. On the other side of the small page is Debbie Reynolds's autograph.
Hey GIV..love your channel ✌️ Youre right GIV..sometimes you find a hat thats just right..bills not too long..and the logo usually isnt something you like..but it fits just right...although I wouldn't wear a Chicago Cubs hat even at gunpoint..lol..✌️
GIV you’re looking good, I’m impressed with your ability to just watch Tommy enjoying his cookie and ice cream. I’ll bet lots of your followers don’t know half of the peoples names that you showed. Looks like you and Tommy are enjoying yourselves. The observatory was awesome.
I wouldn’t want to know ahead of time when I’m going to die. No. Would ruin all the days I do have! That cemetery is special. Small but special. SO many well known people there. I was shocked too at how small Burt Lancaster’s grave site was. I guess his family tried to save money. He was a great actor. We never know when we will really go. Have to try and live it the best way we can. I do believe in the hereafter. Heaven. But not all will go there. Unfortunately.
Thanks for taking us along. I liked when you were covering the cookies and ice cream. You could tell you wanted one but without wavering are watching out for your health.
Great video GIV. Not sure if you mentioned but that is a very expensive cemetery. A single burial plot is at least $50,000 and a niche just for ashes is about $25,000.
I’ve seen those videos about how much you supposedly make. They do that for a lot of UA-camrs. Those videos are WAY off, lol. Maybe they need to show you where all your money is! 😂😂😂 I love the Sugar Daddy hat! You can order those candies online still, and I’ve sometimes seen them in stores. They’re a caramel chew - totally yummy!!
Another wonderful video, thanks for taking us view over to that cemetery again and loves watching down town of Los Angeles from Iconic Building, greetings from Indonesia. 28:41
Tommy walking next to you, eating ice cream is the picture of utter contentment .
Warms my heart.
i thought that same thing lol

Mike, you are the best matcher-upper on UA-cam. 👍👍👍
Great memories of visiting all those places in Hollywood. The Sunset Strip was the place to be in the late 60’s.
We need an awards venue for UA-camrs'. The GiV would be nominated for, 'UA-camr Of The Year' for sure!
Thomas likes the Boston Red Sox? Whenever he or you both come to Boston I’ll treat you guys to a game, dinner and place to stay. 👍💪
The people who don't understand your humor should subscribe and watch your videos more often ;)
I love the GiV's dry humor. You must understand the GiV to understand GiV humor!

There is even a John Lautner designed house on Strathmore Avenue.
