- Ever wanted to fit cruise control to make life easier? Me too... so I did! Was it successful though? And did it actually work?
Please do not take this guide as gospel, it may help you but there may be other/better ways to do the install. I can only vouch for this method on a facelift A3 8P but do believe its a similar install for the cars listed in the title.

Nice one dude! I actually did this on my S3 a few weeks back, and fitted a flat bottom multi function wheel at the same time. Its probably worth pointing out that you need to make sure you have the correct revision steering control module to support both cruise control & the MFSW. I had to purchase and install one with part code 8P0953549F at the same time I did my retrofit. Also, only 06 onwards cars have the cruise control cable fitted as standard (even if the stalk isn't fitted), so pre 06 cars you need to purchase and run the wire too :)

@@liamali8034 Yes,just done mine. You won't need control module for all face-lift A3s.. cars that have DIS (driver info system) will work .all you need is the cruise control stick and coding. Don't forget about the steering wheel lower trim cover for cruise control

Nice vid. About to o this to mine. Just need to get a lower cowling. Got the stalk and tools. Was nice to watch someone do it all the way through. Have read through a few descriptions and it sounded within my capabilities but seeing it being done was really useful. Hoping to get mine done next week.

Well despite the weather and the dogging-spec steamy windows that turned out ok in the end. I take it the GoPro yielded no useful footage (or did you forget to check it 😂). Pretty sure that's the code for auto locking though. Thought Cruise-Control was: ⏹⏹▶️⏺⏺🔼◀️🔽🔽
+Ed Chambers unfortunately me and my limited knowledge of go pros ended up in a time lapse of 4500 photos that my computer didnt have the power to stitch together 😂
At 12m03 one clip at the front, that was tough. I needed a long 2mm Allen.
Are you sure that is only required the tempomat module without coding? It seems you did not coded afterwards but it works still? Many videos saying that you have go code it..
How hard do you think it would be to retrofit a parking sensor? My car is missing one.

I have a similar Audi the back lights are different also on a 59 plate ghost lights I only have the red light on the side nothing under the door other than a plastic cover can I get puddle lights for my A3 sports line no body will give a straight answer yes or no or light convertions

I have been considering undertaking this on my 8P1 ( 2009 ) 3 door hatchback but I have been put off by the connection to the accelerator and brake connection.
While watching the video I see that you did not touch either of these so am I correct in thinking that this can be achieved with the use of my MAXIECU OBD 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔
One last thing can you please tell me the Audi Part Number of your "engine cover" because all the ones I am seeing have the oil filler hole on the right hand side 😊😊😊😊

I have just watched your video on "Cruise Control" and I have some questions ;
1) My steering wheel does NOT have the extra buttons as seen on your steering wheel, am I OK to go ahead and fit ?
2) I do not have a computer game BUT I have a MAXIECU reader, can I do the coding from there ?
3) How do I know that the steering wheel is correctly lined up, are there any Audi marks for reference ?

As far as I know mate you need the multifunction wheel, cant help you with the coding Im afraid as I did mine on VCDS at a garage so thats the only way I can confirm works. As for the steering wheel just make sure you put steering lock on before you start and try put it back the same as you take it off 😂 you will know when you drive it if you need to move it a spline

Same as factory, but not as easy to fit as what he makes it seem if you haven't done it before or not used to working on them VAG cars

2010 mate, mine just didn’t have it from factory and its something I wanted!
Have you had the glove box common vibration yet? Mine has just started and it’s flipping annoying

Do you know if its possible to drive the car again before coding? I've read somewhere you need to clear some fault code or something... I'm gonna do the retrofit but I'm relying on a friend for coding so hoping I can do it at home and then drive round his.

+TOm LAming any garage with VCDS will do it for you mate, only takes a few minutes! Each garage will probably charge differently
