In 2024 this is still a great guide, I did a MFSW and Cruise control retrofit on an a3 8p and this video and tutorial was spot on. Great work and thank you very much to Bogdan. Had a couple of errors showing after the retrofit but I was able to sort them out with VCDS. Great work on this guide.

Absolutely spot on guide, thanks very much for posting it. For anyone following it as I did, the only thing not shown (perhaps not fitted to the car in the video?) is an additional module which fits around the plastic post which the T8 Torx screw (removed at 3:20) screws into. When I removed the old single indicator stalk it fell on the floor! No idea what it does but I simply refitted it after fitting the new 2 stalk assembly. You can see the post it fits around underneath the screwdriver at 5:58. For those asking about fitting an extra cable, the Audi installation manual which came with my kit states this is required on "A3 3 doors up to and including 05/2005 only" - hope that helps. Once it was all back together I got a local independent VAG specialist to code the car and it all works perfectly.
I think you are talking about steering angle sensor. After 2009, steering angle sensor is inside steering assist. Before 2009 the steering angle sensor is pluged in steering control module. My steering angle sensor is inside steering assist, that is why you didn't see it on video.

Rocky Go disconect moduleu,pin 13 is cruse controle module wire(black with white stripe colour on wire)! If you have this wire you can instal like this,if not than you must instal a wire to!
Do you know if the car is OK to drive after the mechanical work is complete, but before final coding? I'm relying on a friend for the coding, but ideally I'd like to get the install don't at home before driving to his house.
You can drive it. The car will work, but, some options will not work, you will have some errors on the dash, turn signals may not work, so, you can drive it for a short distance. Also, you should know, that is not legal to drive with electrical issues in some countries.

Your master did something wrong. He probably broke a pin or something. More than 50 A3 owners wrote to me to help them install cruise control or mfsw, and all succeeded. Manual and s-tronic. Lots of them were beginners, but they did it.

May be you need the wire, or maybe not. You have to try without the wire, and if it doesn't work put the wire. Some cars already have that wire. Maybe you have it. Hope it helps.

Salut, ai vreo idee de ce as putea primi eroarea p0568 implausible signal. Si nu imi merge cruise control-ul. Am montat maneta corecta, am calculatorul de volan 8P0953549F si am tras si firul dintre el si. Am activat din cele 2 locuri in vcds. Este vorba de un TT MK2 din 2007. Multumesc!
Implausible signal inseamna ca exista comunicare intre cruise si steering module, dar semnalele pe care le primeste sunt diferite de semnalele pe care ar fi trebuit sa le primeasca. Poate fi un defect de la maneta de cruise sau codul manetei nu e bun. Sau mai grav modulul de directie e defect. Presupun ca firul pe care l-ai tras este in regula, deci exclud din start un defect la fire.
I put cruise control, than changed box under steering in with goes cruise control. Now it has 6 pins. Made coding. Fault code says you have mailfunction. I gave up.

Arată la fel la toate. Diferența este la maneta de lumini, la faza lungă. La mașinile cu xenon, ca să aprinzi faza lungă, trebuie să tragi de manetă spre volan și maneta revine înapoi la poziția inițială. La mașinile fără xenon, tragi de manetă spre volan și maneta rămăne acolo, nu mai revine la poziția inițială decât dacă o împingi tu ca să stingi faza lungă. Asta e diferența dintre ele, dar dacă cumperi manetele greșite se pot converti folosind piese de la maneta de lumini pe care o ai deja pe mașină. Vezi pe siteul meu. Gasești linkul in bio.

Salut. Eu am pus la a mea, si am cutie manuala. Functioneaza perfect. O pun in a șasea, ii setez viteza și stă singurică acolo până atingi pedala de frână.
Si in video si in descrierea video-ului este linkul site-ului meu. L-ai citit? Nu e greu de pus daca te pricepi sa folosesti o surubelnita si o fixa de 10mm.

Da. Maneta de pilot funcționeaza identic pe ambele modele. Diferența dintre manetele de lumini este de fapt o mica piesa din plastic din interior. Poți sa iei acea piesa din maneta ta veche și sa o pui in locul celei din maneta pe care ai cumparato. Vezi pe canalul meu ca parca am facut un video despre asta. Sau pe pagina mea. salut. am o problema cu tempomatul. se dezactiveaza daca apas ridicare geam la sofer si nu mai pot activa functia tempomat decat dupa ce scot si introduc din nou cheia in contact.
Nu am mai auzit asa ceva. Tempomatul este gestionat de calculatorul de coloana de directie, iar geamul este gestionat de calculatorul de usa. Calculatorul de usa, la modelele pana prin 2008, este gestionat la randul lui de calculatorul de comfort. Deci nu prea exista nicio legatura firecta intre cele 2. Ar putea fi o legatura daca tempomatul a gost adaugat dupa fabricatie. La modelele pana prin 2006 trebuia tras un fir separat pe undeva pe sub volan ca sa functioneze tempomatul, si s-ar putea ca acest fir sa nu fi fost legat unde trebuie. Astfel cand ridici geamul, furi curent din alimentarea tempomatului si ii destabilizezi memoria. Schema electrica vatiaza de la an la an si de la dotari la dotari. E greu de spus. Poate iti zice ceva la o diagnoza.
@@nichiforiuc la diagnoza..doua de fapt. primul care a citit a zis ca vede o problema pe tempomat(scur presupune el). si a2a diagnoza facuta de cineva de la bosch a fost la fel...o vede in sistem ca eroare da nu stie de ce.
Maneta de tempomat nu are in ea decat niste contacte si niste potentiometre, deci nu prea poate fi din ea. Ea vine mufata in calculatorul de coloana de directie si cred ca acolo ti-a aparut eroarea. Probabil ca fluctuatia de tensiune din momentul in care motorasul de geam ajunge la capat de cursa, afecteaza calculatorul de coloana. Daca ar fi asa, ar trebui sa iti dea eroare si cand cobori geamul la maxim. Asa e?

Yes is true! A wire could be missing, or not. You have to try to find out.

Poți chiar sa refolosesti și maneta ta originala daca printurilw de pw ea arata mai binw.

8p0 953 549K is for MFSW after 2009. For CC, maybe the old control module works. Did you try to code the old one for CC?
