He’s just pumping up before a show or filming .
this was the pumping station before going on to stage wasn't it ????
Just hit his PR
Look at his face he was an emotionless machine when it was time to do work. Even with this pump up weight. Have read and heard many stories about it.
🎉🎉🎉🎉 let's go!!!
Would love to see you do a tribute to David P Webster. He was such an important figure in strength and bodybuilding, but - to my knowledge - not a singe strongman or bodybuilding channel did a tribute to him.
Another sal classic archive..i agree..i myself hav squat rack with bb on it . go under step away ..n do 3× 30 behind neck standin presses..for decades now .various widths ..luv the feeling and with rack i no lift or return to floor. ..easy..
Quick pump before taking out the trash 💪🏆
Impressive. Most impressive.
Arnold didn't pump up, The Barbell Pumped Arnold up 😅😅😔
This feels like a meme format
I often wondered if the colored weight plates came from the manufacturer like that. I recently bought some older red plates but I don't think I have ever seen any in the old muscle magazines that I have. Old school bodybuilding 4 ever!!!
This is from Pumping Iron backstage...but wheres Louie? Did Arnold already psych him out?
I always wondered how he’ll react, when Louie tells Arnold “you’re the one that’s too loud, don’t scream all the time”
👍
OMG my shoulders hurt so much 😂
Am I just missing it or did the guys not use clips at the end of their weights in the golden era? I noticed that in Pumping Iron when Arnold is spotting someone doing squats, it looks like the weights are just on there loose and can fall off if you tilt it.
I think their attached to it
I've never used collars/clips... never. Completely not needed. Geez
i mean they arent gonna fall off unless you randomly lose balance out of nowhere but that doesnt really happen
Clips with different back then, they were more like nuts and screw's as you can see in the picture there's like a screw holding the weight together
@@knightveg This is correct. And f*ck I am old I had some like that.
Rare set of plates & collars, I don't think I've seen that set. Could you see the brand Carlos?
Can you please tell us where do these new Pumping Iron footage come from?
Hey Golderabookworm i dont know if you have ever made an video about anrolds back training but if not i would really be interested in such video
Was told behind neck presses is extremely hard on shoulder joints 😮
And yet you see how jacked Arnold is and Mike O hearn. I'm going to follow them! Just keep the weight light. Leave ego in the car.🤦♂️
depends on your flexibility. I've always done it without problem but start with a light weight and go slowly deeper
They are, and they aren't a good exercise. Still look badass though
Best mass builder for shoulders there is. But if you can't do it, you can't do it. I'm 50 and still pressing 225lbs behind neck.
For many it will be problems.
Same for the upright row.
But some can get away with it. Doesn't mean it's a good exercise, it's too much risk.
I would advice doing it military press/push press style. In front of your head, instead of behind the neck.
Behind the neck pull downs , also hard on the shoulder joint, but some can do it without negative repercussions.
Do the pull down to the chest.
Simple.
Excellent exercise 👌
It's an outtake from Pumping Iron at the 1975 Pretoria Mr. Olympia.
Ok next I’ll do that
❤❤❤❤
Arnold- Get to the choppaaaaaaa
Me after deadlifting- Get to the protein shakeaaaaaaa.
Was that Albert Busek in the background?
Lets go algorithm ❤❤
How much kg??
You mean lbs?
@@invisableobserver no, kilograms
30kg
Yeah there's pics with him doing 225 pbn...so...
Arnold ain’t human!
This exercise has been shown to be bad for your shoulders. The front overhead barbell or dumbell press is better and safer.
Zat iz baby veight, herr himmlah.
Man, are you connected to Arnold?
Yes hes related.
How the hell Busek just appeared in there?? Is he a ghost or what???
Wasn't Busek the one who made Arnold an offer that Arnold refused...
@@Ve-suvius According to Arnold's autobiography "The education of a bodybuilder", it was a guy by the name "Sneck" who ran the gym in Munich where Arnold worked at in 1966...
Busek first saw Arnold in Stuttgart in 1965 and offered him work in Munich's gym once his military service is over.
@@IronWarrior86
I read that book but can't remember that name.
I thought it was Busek who wanted to have him in his him and one bed.
And Arnold got disgusted or something like that and reclined the offer.
Btw Joe Weider had the nickname Joe the Stabber.
Freddy Mercury wise. He may have had a wife. But it was obvious men were more of his interest.
@@Ve-suvius I never heard it was Busek. It was this "Sneck/"Schneck" dude. Though your description is spot on, like you described he was a homosexual and offered Arnold money or resources, willing to pay his airline ticket and plenty of pocket money for his journey to US, in exchange for sexual favors... Arnold admittedly turned him down and said he wanted to earn and save up money by just working in the gym and training clients, but who knows, lol. That airline fare must have cost a fortune especially in those days. Yeah i could definitely see Joe as sus, probably had a circle of wealthy schmoes lurking around waiting for the prodigy to arrive.
"Screw your Freedoms! " 🏋♂️🏋🏻🦊
Screw your negativity 😂
Yea he should gtfo back to Austria if he hate American freedom so much
@@andymate25 I just quoted Arnold's negativity. A Facist Covid vaccine remark. Fanboy?🏋♂️🏋🏻🦊
@@robertthompson5501 You can quote whatever you like it won't change nothing. Sad life of yours 😂
What do you call that black piece of skin at the side of Arnold’s face?
Melasma
Hope this goes viral 😊
Why?
@@Theo-ul8qm Yeah, why ?
Want that 1000 subscribers 👍
This exercise never gets old. One of my favorites to hit my back 💪
This doesn’t hit back… it’s a pushing movement. It hits shoulders and triceps
@@MG-jy5qx still some back as well.
@@juanrodriguez5404 which part?
@MG-jy5qx it will screw up your shoulders.
@@joedimaggio3687 Only if you do it wrong
Comments for the algo 😊
