Juan Rivera apparently this is already in production. I had originally head and read (rumors mind you no facts) that the original series was supposed to be ten thousand years in the past. It was scrapped and production started on Aegon’s Conquest. Again rumor not sure if it is true but definitely something to *hopefully* look forward too!
Bro, legit. My Girlfriend sat me down last week to watch the first episode of GoT (I had never seen before) we are now starting Season 5, I've been trudging through UA-cam for GoT/ASoIF lore, and am ordering the books. It's like crack, I swear.
I think you mean Robert’s Rebellion not the Battle of the Trident, cause watching just one battle on it’s own would be boring as hell but the name of the war itself was Robert’s Rebellion.
Hi! Question: Does essos use a different year count? I mean Why would essos use the yearcount of a Conquest in westeros. For example do they use the years gone by after the end of the valerian freehold?
Volantis might. My headcanon suggests that once Westeros was unified they became so dominant that it was easier for the Free Cities to just switch to the Westerosi calendar. Edit: Could be wrong tho.
You know, some people might say that Torrhen Stark is a coward for bending the knee without fighting but i maintain that he did the right thing. I mean sure, he may have had a bigger army but what good is an army against 3 fucking fire-breathing dragons? Torrhen didn't want to risk his people's lives and have them die for no reason considering all the stories were true about all the kingdoms that had already fell to the Targaryens. No matter what plans he would come up with to fight against the Targaryens, the outcome would be the same.
Absolutely love your video's......I have since first finding you years ago. Just a FYI - The Targaryen's were never down to just one dragon in Aegon's time..... They were just down to only one Dragon left that was born in Old Valyria though..........
Make Aegon's Conquest movie now. Lee Pace as Aegon Targaryan. Charlize Theron as Visenya. Katherine Winnick as Rheanys. A movie or mini-series it makes no difference to me.
Seriously, as neat as this whole campaign looks on the surface, it's really a headscratcher why Aegon simply didn't conquer all of them with the dragons alone, army or not. Nobody in Westeros had any defense against them it's a miracle this conquest took as long as it did to wrap up. And they _still_ didn't win back Dorne.
Love the channel. You keep me excited for your next video. I have a suggestion, could you please do an overview of seasons 3 and 4 of GoT. Keep up the great work. Valar Morghulis.

It was not necessary since there was nothing worth conquering and it would have been difficult to defend. The wall is basically a perfect place to establish your borders because it already has great defenses and there is nothing of significance beyond it.
the dornish conflict is how you know grrm doesnt understand war, he wrote tywin cunning enough to flip house bolton against stark but didn't think that aegon couldn't flip support of any dornish house against the martells?
Ah, but Boltons WANTED to take the Starks' place as rulers of the North, and Roose particularly wanted out of this alliance that was increasingly likely to fail.
Houses Wyl and Yronwood of the top of my head I know do not like the Martells, they fought gainst King Durran the Young at the Battle by the Bloody Pool. So If aegon said i'll make you the warden of dorne they'd be all for it. but i know in his defense he wants to write dorne as one homogeneous unit but as indicated there are 3 racial groups firstmen, andals, and rhoynes, this doesn't seem like a big deal but look at the differences in england between celts, saxons and normans. i'm 100% sure aegon could have conqured dorne by flipping houses under his banner.
Yeah, the Yronwoods obviously long wanted to be the rulers of Dorne, including fighting for the rebels in 3/5 Blackfyre rebellions, but I'm thinking they wanted Dorne to be independent even more. By the time of Aegon's Conquest, there will have been a lot of intermarriage between the ethnicities, so even by that time it seems that the Dornish had a strong sense of themselves as a people.

You forgot to mention how Volantis petitioned Aegon to aid them in their conquest of Essos
Hasan Wilson didn’t he ally with other free cities and destroy the Volantene army though?
Aegon saw essos as past of Valyrian, he saw Westeros as the future of a new Valyrian.

there was always a chance the dragons could have died plus who would hold the captured castles@@yarpen26
I imagine when Daenerys died and went to hell, this was all her Targaryen ancestors had to say to her.
All I'm getting from this is, dragons are OP as fuck
55000 soldiers yet only losing only 4000, made them lose?
Id say it was a bit of a kick in the morale to see your leaders and best knights burned to death and three dragons flying about.
Hi iM Jesus 420 true. I can see how that might take the fight out of a large army.
4000 were killed almost instantly including the king and his sons, continuing to fight likely seemed pointless for a lot of the men.
