Civ I just love how well produced your videos are. If you take away the audio from the visual you still can understand the greater conquests, and with just the audio you can still get the same info. That’s just great craft at work!
Could u possibly do a what if video about how long u think the Targaryens couldve realistically ruled Westeros despite having dragons like how long u think there dragons would’ve continued to be threat to everyone else before someone created more effective weapons or just advancement’s in technology assuming that no civil wars happened or the maesters poisoning them
Well, Valyria ruled most of Essos for 4 or 5 thousand years, if the Targys would not have lost the dragons, i think they may be ruled over Westeros as far as they wanted.
Thing is, when aegon went to conquer dorne in argon’s conquests. There was supposedly already technology to take down dragons. The scorpion bows that was used to kill one of the dragons by aegons sister wives (viseyna I believe). Which is how viseyna got captured and everything is speculation but it’s said the prince of dorne at the time sent a letter to aegon, wasn’t confirmed what was said in the letter but theory is the prince of dorne negotiated with aegon that the prince has viseyna locked up being tortured and offered to end her life for a truce. It’s been years since I’ve gotten into the got lore, so forgive me if stuff I said was inaccurate or just false
Didn't know that GRRM had Carcosa in his mythos, and it was ruled by the 69th yellow emperor......I wonder if two dark stars sink below a still lake there.
As bad as westeros may be at least it had laws and codes depending on ur region. However, essos sounds friggin terrifying…i thought pentos, myr, volantis, mereen, and dothraki sea was already hostile. Beyond the dothraki sea sounds terrifying

Right from the names to the themes of thd cities and countries, this actually parallels the real world. You can think of Yi Ti like China, Westeros as America , the free cities as Europe and Southros as South America
Pretty sure in lore, there was land west of Westeros no? There was a iron islands house living on a far island to the west where it was said they tried to sail further west. Also in the show, Arya was said to be sailing west towards the end. There’s so much that hasn’t been explored, like sothoryos and further beyond the wall. There’s also the ullos continent

ASOIAF, almost all of GRRM's vision of ancient history of the known world, in half an hour!
The geography, the peoples so well described
Hats off to this man... Just imagine how much research he had to do....and put it all together.
It’s actually not him, it’s a different creator who has amazing ASOIAF content, a ton of history and lore!
