I can't read during the day. I find I just can't get into the book because my mind is always elsewhere. So i only read at night but i read for 2-3 hours usually.
I'm early and literally loving his video how are u not on a freaking million subscribers yet and all this year I have nagged my mom to get the TMI books and she finally has
emmmabooks hehe thx and I officially today got my best friend in to ur channel and we both love books which is amazing as we're always borrowing each others books
I don't have a great reading routine; usually the most reading I do is late at night in my bed instead of sleeping, which isn't the best. I usually read there or in a cozy chair in my dorm, but I just recently started listening to the Pride and Prejudice audiobook while I work (since I also have an office-type job). I also just picked up a few ebooks during cyber monday sales, so I am able to read more (yikes) during class. I have a bad habit of doing that when I'm really into a book, and I literally could not put down the ebook of The Royal We when I was reading it a few weeks ago. I love your nails by the way!
You’ve become one of my most favorite youtubers and someone who helps me get through those long days where I’m too in my head to function properly- and I just want to thank you for that. I found you because of a Shadowhunters community post that linked one of your videos, and I actually wound up watching a 4 hour stream of you reorganizing your bookshelves as the second video. Ever since then I’ve been hooked and honestly just thought you should know :) you help me every day especially those days I struggle with myself.
I do! In America, at least with many schools, you can graduate in December, May (which is typical) or August (which is rare, but happens if you need to take summer classes to graduate). Because so many people transfer schools and lose credits or take extra classes, everyone sort of ends at a different point :)
When I'm in school reading for me is basically non-existent (nursing school will do that to ya), but during school breaks I FLY through books. I'm someone who has to sit down and read for hours, currently on Christmas break and re-reading Clockwork Angel. Here's to us girls working & going to school!!
I love your videos so much and i love watching you. Good luck to you I find it hard to work, study and keep BookTubing but when i see you i think i can do it. I just need more organization and listing priorities .
I listen to my audiobook in my drive to work and then I arrive an hour early to work to get in some physical reading. And then I end my night with an hour or so physically reading. 🤓
i usually read two books at the same time: one that im really excited about, and then a classic for school or to just to improve my english, the latter i leave at school, so i pick it up whenever i have a break, and then i quickly run home after my last class to get to the other one i find that im in a completely differ headspace and enjoy a book less if there are a lot of people around me/i have classes to worry about so i prefer reading things during school only when it requires more concentration and is a bit more educational, that way i enjoy both kinds of books to their fullest
emmmabooks everything i read is in english but i end up feeling guilty when i see words i dont know or classics i havent read, i guess its a beneficial guilt haha
there is a program called "learn with texts" and it allows you to import texts(or entire books) from the internet in foreign languages. ua-cam.com/video/TkcVJ6SpK2Q/v-deo.html here is a link to a video tutorial. i've used this program for german over the last year and my vocabulary has increased immensely. so maybe after increasing your vocabulary with this first then you can start to read physical books in french. good luck, hope this helps
I like the way you think haha, it's all about optimising your time. Some great ideas on when to listen to audio books, I've never thought of listening in the shower. I usually just end up singing along to early-2000s pop punk.
We do very similar things with reading and listening to books! I also just applied to some receptionist jobs and I really hope I get one. Great job doing so much and kicking butt at it! I’m not even working right now and I’ve still missed some days of Vlogmas! You’re amazing, Emma. 😘
AGH so i’ve been watching your videos for a few months now, and you’re honestly my favorite booktuber, and i know how much you love the mortal instruments,,,, and i’ve had city of bones for a few years now but never read it, so i picked it up because i know YOU love it and NOW I LOVE IT AGH IM OBSESSED THANK YOU FOR ???? IDK INTRODUCING ME TO ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS IVE READ
Omgg emma you’re so pretty goddess 😭 I want to eat your bun, is that weird Lol did you bring camera to work or was it filmed on your phone Shiiitt you’re so responsible I cri My reading routine includes: what reading routine lol
I read in the morning before leaving bed, then on the bus going to work, and if work is slow, then I'll read a little there too. Really just whenever I have a few moments. For some reason I can't focus while listening to audiobooks
When did you socialize during your day? For me, that's what I use my breaks for. I hate eating alone, so I always try to catch up with a colleague or even call a friend I haven't spoken to in a while. Somehow my mind is on people mode during the day and switches to *leave me alone*-mode as soon as I come back home.
Yay, came home from my last exam of the semester to a new Emma video! :D I've been trying to read more when I can, very similar to you: on my bus commute, in between classes (which I'll definitely have to do next semester, busier schedule!), and at night I'll read a physical book until my mom comes up for bed, then an ebook until I get sleepy :) I definitely want to try to incorporate more audiobooks into my routine though!
I haven't been able to read much this semester since I am adjusting to college (first semester is now over thank god). Next semester I am determined to get more reading in especially for the books I have to read for class and for my personal interest. I loved watching this video and how you actually filmed your day. It was really cool!
I feel you soo much for wanting to use your time in the morning more wisely listening to your audiobook, because I just started listening to audiobooks this month, and I am so pissed at myself for not having done it earlier cuz... Holy shit I've wasted SOOOO much time doing things that occupy my hands alone and so I couldn't be reading without realizing that this could actually be fixed very easily. Since I have a subscription to Scribd, what I'd also do is that if I'm loving the physical book that I'm reading and that audiobook is available on Scribd, then I'll listen to that one when I'm commuting, getting ready, etc. so I don't have to wait until I can actually get to seat an read :D
I have to fit in my reading throughout the day! My morning and evening commute is an hour each way. So I read my audiobook during that time. During my teaching hours, I listen to my audiobook during my “prep” time, so I can be mobile and get things done. I usually read my physical book when my kids have reading time or when I’m at home. Most of my reading is audio because of my schedule. Weekends have more reading than they used to!
I am able to listen to audio books through out my work day. I only work two days a week. So usually, I start listen on my bus ride, through work, until I get home (usually about 8.5-9hrs total.) I then try to read for an hour or two in the evening 2-3 times a week. I have been trying to use evenings more for reading, but usually social things get in the way. I have played with reading for shorter times every evening or more evenings; however, if I get swept away in the book then before I know it I am getting to bed too late. On Saturdays, I do a drawing and reading day. Where I go out and draw and listen to audio books for a few hours (3-6). This video was great and I would like to see an update to your routine once you are transitioned into a new schedule.
It's always amazing to know other people's reading habits and you are so proactive!! :D I don't really have a routine, I'm very inconsistent on my reading. Somedays I don't even read anything. I guess the closest I get to a eading routine is that I usually like to read at night, after all my chores are done.
I just wanted to point out that I got a little giddy when I saw the Thousand Wishes body wash because I am a scent hog and have dozens upon dozens of Bath and Body works body sprays, body washes and candles. (: Also, I love this look on you! That green looks really nice on your skin tone, and so does your lipstick.
Loved this reading routine. I always found a lot of other ones hard to relate to. As I mom I don't often get to finish a whole cup of hot tea never mind sit town with one to read a book under a cozy blanket. If I tried I would likely be scalded with said tea from my bouncing toddler lol. The way you're reading here is often how I have to read. Audio books when daughter is sleeping and I'm doing tasks around the apartment or reading for a few minutes here and there when she's entertaining herself. My biggest reading time if often first thing in the morning if I wake up before everyone else and am able to read my kindle in the dark in bed lol. Gotta do what works for you which is what I loved about this video. You're showing how reading works with your everyday life not just the odd day you have to have a cozy reading time. And congratulations on your graduation! That's super exciting :).
I struggle finding time to read during the school semesters, the only solid time I have is when I take the bus to and from the different campuses. I usually get about 45 solid minutes there and another 45 back which is awesome. I also like to try and read before bed but my phone tends to distract me 😂 I'm working on reading more
Hi Emma! When I was in college my schedule looked a lot like yours, I used to read anytime I could take a book out and sometimes even when I shouldn't have to. I'm taking a year to my family before I start working full time next year (waiting for my degree to arrive) and I think discovering how the reading process and routine changes with our lifes is one of the most fascinating things in the world. So yes, update it later please. Also, come on! Your shots are always super artsy (see every BBliothon video ever) so don't ever say that again. This video was beautiful.
This was an excellent video!! I would absolutely love to see an updated reading routine video if you get the chance to do one!! As for my reading routine, honestly, MY READING ROUTINE............................HAS NO.........................CONSISTENCY???????? LIKE, it really depends on if I get the chance to and am in the mood to do so. Between my rather small schoolwork load, my job as a freelancing theater electrician, and other activities and things I have to do on a daily bases, I just can't seem to get a decent solidified reading routine. PERHAPS ONE DAY I WILL????????? Perhaps I should really try getting into audiobooks so that I can get more reading done.
I love to read it's one of my favorite hobby so I pick that for my therapy coping skills when I'm down or anxiety kicks in and plus reading is a adventure its take you the whole otherside of the world I can almost read for a week if I'm really into it the book
I always really like these kinds of videos, because you get a glimpse of what someone's life is day to day. While this may sound creepy, I kind of like seeing what someone else's life is like lol.
Congrats on Graduating!! THAT'S SO EXCITING!! My routine is pretty similar to yours. Sometimes I even get a couple hours of audiobook listening in at work when i'm just doing filing. It's pretty awesome. And all that between classes listening totally adds up! LOVED this video, Emma!
I’m also pretty busy with work and grad school, I really need to start incorporating audiobooks into my routine! I could get so much more reading done that way! Btw, that green is totally your color. 🤗
My biggest fear is listening to an audiobook while walking or driving and being so shocked by the book that I just stop walking or driving and get into an accident of something like that lol
Love the video and love how you told us that it’s not all cozy when we read because I’m the same I try to read between classes and if I can at night before I go to bed📖☺️
I struggle to read so much during school because it keeps me so busy! I try to do homework until my brain has decided to stop functioning for the day and then I go to bed or hang around a little before bed.
I have to fit in reading when ever I can and I also listen to audio books every time I am in the car Or I am cleaning around the house. When ever I take the dogs out to go to the rest room is a good time to read one of the books I am reading at that time also, How many books do you read at a time? And yes I would love to see an updated video of your reading schedule.
This is awesome Emma! 🙌🏻 I don't have a place to read either, unless I'm on holiday at the beach :) but I also read when I have time. Especially when I'm waiting in the bank. Maybe you can show us the behind the scenes/ routine when you film a video. What's your process? When do you start planning a video? How long does it take you to get ready, film and edit? Do you have a routine before you press rec? Do you film your videos weeks in advance? I remember you showed me you had some videos planned for several weeks when we met in the Adam Silvera event in September, and I asked you about the Shadowhunters review. So maybe a video can show everyone what you do and how you manage a busy life with booktube :) It might inspire some of us to make more time to film 😍
It is very refreshing to see a UA-camr who is very invested in making original content and going all out. This video was so fun to watch and it all seemed genuine which is inspiring. I love all your videos, and congrats on graduating!
Ah I love this video! You slay! I used to be the person that could/had the time to sit at least a couple of days but this semester's schedule had me switch into reading more whenever I could, all days not only when I couldn't stop reading xD. My routine has basically looked like this: In the morning I don't read unless I wake up early or if it's in the middle of the night and I have to fall asleep again. However, I always bring my book in my backpack. Depending on the weather and as long as I don't have to write assignments on my phone/study by reading school material, I am able to read while walking Boris (my dog) and then to the bus unless I have to run, which I usually have to xD Then on the bus I either sleep, do homework or read. In school I sometimes read in between classes and even during classes, some of my teachers are so tired of me for doing so. I still pay like the most attention to my teacher of my class despite reading, sooI mean, well that might be saying something about my school xD I guess it looks more disrespectful reading a physical book than being on your phone idek xD This semester I worked everyday apart from Sunday- Monday and I commuted to all of them, so extra reading/sleeping/hw time. The majority of the days I even had the time to get home and out with Boris before going to my work, which meant more reading time. In total I'm out wth Boris 3-5 times a day, I can maybe manage a chapter up to four doing these walks, then commutes depending on which day is everything from in total 30 minutes to over 1 hour. I also try to read when I go grocery shopping, or rather to the store, I don't have to keep my eyes on a dog then which increases the speed xD Oh and I have to read at least on page or like a page of a magazine in bed since if I don't I can't sleep xD :) That is it :)
amazon!!! do you mean for my lunch break?? technically i don't actually get a lunch break during the week because i only work a 4 hour shift but my office is very nice so they give me an "unofficial" break that isn't timed to eat :)
I'm the type of reader that has to take like a day or to off from reading when finishing a book cause I can't drag myself out of that world. Just finished they both die at the end two days ago and have now made a playlist of all the songs in the book and can't stop crying. loved it so much thankyou for the recommendation. Also THANKYOU FOR LETTING ME KNOW ABOUT QUEENS OF GEEK! I have Aspergers and I loved the rep in this book and the some of the quotes helped me finally come to terms with it. As always love your videos so much. You always make me smile xx
It takes me an hour and a half to get in and out of college, so I've started listening to audiobooks and I'm kind of obsessed now! I'd never gone near an audiobook before November, but since listening to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, I decided to venture out and try some more and I am so happy I did. The bus is too packed in the mornings, so physically reading is impossible, and I'm usually too tired to try and read on the way back, so I've really started to love listening to audiobooks. Although, most of the time I find it hard to save them just for the bus rides (I lay on my bedroom floor and listened to They Both Die At The End in it's entirety one Saturday 🙈)
Gosh you are SO BEAUTIFUL!! Your makeup in this video was on point and you were just gorgeous!!!! I also read a lot when I'm on the bus to and from school.
I definitely read bits throughout the day as well. I try to do most of my reading in the mornings or afternoons though. I wake up very early, so I’m prone to falling asleep with my book in my lap if I read at night. 🤷🏻♀️
Already having a great birthday, and Emma has a new video up. How perfect! By the way, congratulations on graduating in just a few days! That's so exciting!
I can read for hours, but I don’t have time. Yesterday, I ended up reading until 2am but it’s because I had the day off from school today and was stressed with school! I read on my way to school and work, on my way home and on revision breaks so I enjoyed this video- maybe I should try audiobooks
More recently since I've been out of college for winter break, and I'm traveling now, I've been putting my earbuds in and listening to my White Noise app with waves crashing in the background since I can't read while I'm listening to music, tragically XD I actually just got my first ARC ever on my nook and so I have to read and review this one ASAP. I really like it though and I've been in Disneyland for the past couple days so I read while I'm waiting in line. When I'm in college it's really hard to read a lot since I'm studying Criminal Justice and minoring in Communication, and I have a LOT of textbook readings to do as well as exams, papers, and projects. I don't really get to read a lot of fun books for my classes since I decided not to major in English (but I don't regret that at all because I love what I'm studying)
Love how real you are about your reading habits and that even though you’re an incredibly busy and amazingly productive person you still manage to read so much! Xx
I liked this video. It was pretty interesting seeing how you fit time in to read. The driving clips were surprisingly soothing to watch... Lol. I have too much time on my hands where I could be reading and yet I don't do as much as I want to. My attention span seems to be worse lately. 😥
Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! You're killin' it! I've got two more years of undergrad left but one of them will hopefully be spent in Italy studying art history abroad! :'-)
Do you have suggestions for audiobook platforms? I tried Audbile but paying for the service and then paying for the book is annoying and a bit excessive.
you should be getting at least one credit for one book per month when paying for the service, you only have to pay for books at their member price unless you want more books than the number of credits you have! i would recommend overdrive which connects to your local library, though the selection is definitely more limited than audible.
Were you reading The Nowhere Girls by Amy Reed as your physical book by chance? As for my reading routine, I honestly don't have much of one. I read when I'm in the mood, if the books really good and is by one of my favourite authors I usually can sit there for a long period of time and read it. Lady Midnight for instance, read that in 6hrs give or take, yes I sat there for a solid 6 hours. Usually though it depends on the book and my mood. Would love to see an updated reading routine! xox
“Fuck around on the computer”. Lol! I enjoy audiobooks everyday on my one hour commute to and from work. It really makes commuting just a tad more tolerable. Great video! One of your best in my opinion.
I loved this video!!! I've been in a stump because my friend is making me read Lord of the Flies because she loves it... Im sorry but it's so boring hELP
Congratulations! I graduated from college in May and during school, I would only have time for audiobooks and then try to catch up on physical books in the summer
Ah love this video!❤️Your routine is so similar to mine I get so much reading done with my audiobooks while commuting and walking to and from classes. Also what book are you reading?
I can't read during the day. I find I just can't get into the book because my mind is always elsewhere. So i only read at night but i read for 2-3 hours usually.
that's great!
Alice Philippa I Can read in the morning but I get into it And read for 4-5 Horus straight
Finding the time to read for fun while in college is so hard, i get most of my reading done on the bus to and from school or work 😂
that's a great time to read!
I envy everyone that can read while traveling. I get travel sick too easily :(
Sarah Samuels yaaaaaaaaaas 👌🏼😩
Same! Commutes are definitely useful for leisure reading
"Film. or reply to comments. or just fuck around on the computer." Love it :D
XD
MY GIRL IS ALWAYS SERVING LOOKS ALL WHILE BEING A BADASS (working, school, reading! holy heck!!) 👌🏼🔥✨
YOURE SO KIND
currently studying for a final exam but of course i have to drop everything i'm doing when i receive the notification haha
best of luck with your exams!

can you do a book tips on reading in french?
ah i've only ever read one book in french but i'd recommend rereading a book you've read before so you may be more familiar with the storyline!
okay thanks!

the nowhere girls (hardcover) -and yes tw for rape- and before the devil breaks you (audiobook)!
I love this! ❤️ Have you read
the Claidi Collection by Tanith Lee?? It’s definitely an old favourite!

I also like to try and read before bed but my phone tends to distract me 😂 I'm working on reading more
That is some dedication..quite great for us to find loopholes. Quite many similarities.
I don't know WHY this video is so calming for me, but I've legit watched it at least five times!
This video was beautiful.
congrats on getting your degree!!!
Perhaps I should really try getting into audiobooks so that I can get more reading done.
it's definitely hard to balance so many things! i definitely recommend audiobooks :)
I love to read it's one of my favorite hobby so I pick that for my therapy coping skills when I'm down or anxiety kicks in and plus reading is a adventure its take you the whole otherside of the world I can almost read for a week if I'm really into it the book
I love how this was realistic rather than all fancy and aesthetically pleasing. While I like the fancy stuff, this was relatable and real.
You better than me. I wish TF I would answer a phone while I'm on my break.
LOVED this video, Emma!
that sounds wonderful!
thank you :)
I’m also pretty busy with work and grad school, I really need to start incorporating audiobooks into my routine! I could get so much more reading done that way! Btw, that green is totally your color. 🤗
they are a great asset to us students!!!
thank you :)
My biggest fear is listening to an audiobook while walking or driving and being so shocked by the book that I just stop walking or driving and get into an accident of something like that lol
I barely get time to read during school!!! I mean I have to study study and study!
Love the video and love how you told us that it’s not all cozy when we read because I’m the same I try to read between classes and if I can at night before I go to bed📖☺️
"fuck around on The computer" ME! haha loved the video Emma x
I struggle to read so much during school because it keeps me so busy! I try to do homework until my brain has decided to stop functioning for the day and then I go to bed or hang around a little before bed.
I’m obsessed with your hair colour and makeup ahhhhh 😍💛
Clicked for bookish fun, stayed for sick af hair
So maybe a video can show everyone what you do and how you manage a busy life with booktube :) It might inspire some of us to make more time to film 😍
i've always wanted to make a video like that!!
It is very refreshing to see a UA-camr who is very invested in making original content and going all out. This video was so fun to watch and it all seemed genuine which is inspiring. I love all your videos, and congrats on graduating!
thank you so much!!
Ah I love this video! You slay! I used to be the person that could/had the time to sit at least a couple of days but this semester's schedule had me switch into reading more whenever I could, all days not only when I couldn't stop reading xD.
My routine has basically looked like this:
In the morning I don't read unless I wake up early or if it's in the middle of the night and I have to fall asleep again. I also try to read when I go grocery shopping, or rather to the store, I don't have to keep my eyes on a dog then which increases the speed xD Oh and I have to read at least on page or like a page of a magazine in bed since if I don't I can't sleep xD :) That is it :)
i ALWAYS have my book too!
ahaha i used to read during class too XD
you are so busy i don't know how you do it!!!
I find it's at night I can read, not before bed, but just after dinner, with some tea.
WHERE did you get that holo backpack, PLS?
So, elucidate me, you have 15 to 30 minutes because you work part time?
amazon!!!
do you mean for my lunch break?? technically i don't actually get a lunch break during the week because i only work a 4 hour shift but my office is very nice so they give me an "unofficial" break that isn't timed to eat :)
AH TBDATE IS SO GREAT!!!!
so happy you also enjoyed queens of geek :)
AUDIOBOOKS ARE SO GREAT!!!!!!
Gosh you are SO BEAUTIFUL!! Your makeup in this video was on point and you were just gorgeous!!!! I also read a lot when I'm on the bus to and from school.
aw thank you so much!!
I definitely read bits throughout the day as well. I try to do most of my reading in the mornings or afternoons though. I wake up very early, so I’m prone to falling asleep with my book in my lap if I read at night. 🤷🏻♀️
ahhha that totally makes sense!
your make up in every video looks flawless 100% of the time😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
thank you darling
Have you made a how I organize my bookshelf?
What physical book are you reading in this vid?
Already having a great birthday, and Emma has a new video up. How perfect!
By the way, congratulations on graduating in just a few days! That's so exciting!
happy birthday!!!!!
I can read for hours, but I don’t have time. Yesterday, I ended up reading until 2am but it’s because I had the day off from school today and was stressed with school! I read on my way to school and work, on my way home and on revision breaks so I enjoyed this video- maybe I should try audiobooks
audiobooks are very helpful IMO!
I don't really get to read a lot of fun books for my classes since I decided not to major in English (but I don't regret that at all because I love what I'm studying)
ah i minored in criminal justice! there's definitely a lot of reading to do
Chronic Dunkins consumer? You know you’re a new englander when... (I’m kidding I’m right there with you!)
ahhahah XD
I am so happy for you that you're graduating!
thank you!!!
💓love you, Emma!! Such an inspiration!!! I barely get to read EVER! Exams are going on😵
same here! best of luck with your exams :)
Love how real you are about your reading habits and that even though you’re an incredibly busy and amazingly productive person you still manage to read so much! Xx
thank you so much
I liked this video. It was pretty interesting seeing how you fit time in to read. The driving clips were surprisingly soothing to watch... Lol. I have too much time on my hands where I could be reading and yet I don't do as much as I want to. My attention span seems to be worse lately. 😥
i totally know the feeling!!
Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! You're killin' it! I've got two more years of undergrad left but one of them will hopefully be spent in Italy studying art history abroad! :'-)
thank you so much!
AH SO EXCITING!!!!!!!!!!
you are perfect literally everything is perfect in your life I think
Gosh you work really hard Emma! 👏👏 Congratulations in advance of your graduation! 🎉🎉
thank you very much!!
Love your book sleeve. Can you please share a link to it? Thanks!
Ooh, congratulations on almost graduating, that's so cool!
I loved this video!! It makes me so happy when you upload😭💖✨✨
awh thank you :)
Would love to see an updated reading routine! xox
yes i was!!!!!
sometimes its nice to just read by mood :)
“Fuck around on the computer”. Lol! I enjoy audiobooks everyday on my one hour commute to and from work. It really makes commuting just a tad more tolerable. Great video! One of your best in my opinion.
i totally agree! thank you so much :))
wow you're such a multitasking master!! teach me your ways!! ans omggg congrats on graduating!!!!
ahah thank you so much!
I am a reader who sits and reads for hours especially if the book is by Cassandra Clare
I'm really hoping I can start adding audiobooks to me daily routine soon! Great video:)
i hope you enjoy them!
I loved this video!!! I've been in a stump because my friend is making me read Lord of the Flies because she loves it... Im sorry but it's so boring hELP
ahaha i wasn't a fan of lord of the flies either, if you aren't enjoying it, read something you will enjoy!!!
I'm going to work soon too and finding time to read would be tough.
Omg I love your shadowhunters necklace!!
I love your audio quality of this video may I ask what you use?
thank you! i use a rode videomic :)
emmmabooks
Thanks!
I have the same shower speaker haha People look at me weird when I say I listen to books in there...
Congratulations! I graduated from college in May and during school, I would only have time for audiobooks and then try to catch up on physical books in the summer
that's a great plan for a busy schedule!!
Gosh I love reading like I’m addicted.
Ah love this video!❤️Your routine is so similar to mine I get so much reading done with my audiobooks while commuting and walking to and from classes. Also what book are you reading?
that's wonderful!
i was reading the nowhere girls (hardcover) and before the devil breaks you (audiobook)!
I am glad I am not the only one that fits reading in when they can. I am the same way! I still get some done :)
