I have a 2003 1.6l focus (as you probably figure out, from your other videos....) and one thing that always bugged me from day one, it the drum brakes an the back. Although it's a fairly easy job to convert it to disk brakes, I always postpone it.

Thanks Dan, glad you liked the process. My rotors were really stuck on due to some surface rust, and this is the only way I could got them off.
What makes the brake indicator light on the dashboard turn dim on a Ford Focus?
I have an 02 zx3, and I have drums in the rear. Did you change them or did different countries get a different setup?
We got disks in the rear over here.
@@Horus_Works so now I’m curious. I’m sure the body and frame are the same. I wonder how difficult it would be to buy the parts from Australia and switch my American version over to discs?
@@AdvantureRoad I wouldn't try to get the parts from here my friend, these cars are ultra rare over here. Try looking for someone in the States who is breaking a Focus SVT.
in Europe diesel models have drums in the back with duratec engines. gasoline version 1.4 also. higher models have disk brakes in the back

@@Horus_Works also need help finding a steering reservoir rubber hose pipe for the steering pump; my one on st170 has a small crack on the surface and is already getting old. I asked Ford Australia. Unfortunately, they don't have it anymore. do you have any suggestions for me? Also, I was looking to get it from a wrecker. They have a few cars here around brissy, but is it an Lr focus bases model? Do you know if they fit for st170? thank you so much for your help
@Bruce Tseng yeah all Mk1s are LR in Australia. All hoses should be the same.
@Bruce Tseng I order most of my Focus Mk1 parts from rockauto.com - they are very cheap and deliver worldwide 👍

heat resistant primer that caliper paint chips and looks crap over time
3 years in I can say that it's held up very well so far. I think it's because of the clear that I put on over the top.
