I like minimalism because it makes a home easier to clean. Every item needs organized, maintained, and cleaned. So it had better be adding value to my life, not taking away from it :)
Exactly!! Every minute adds up. Plus, if you can clean easier, you can take that extra time to clean better/deeper too. The benefits are endless I'm so passionate about this🤣
I like the thought about your home being a hotel. The less time you spend at the hotel, the more you enjoy the vacation. I think the same applies to spending time at home vs out in public to some point at least.
I didn't think about that part! That's a great point. Or just spending time outside. I realized I spend a LOT of my day outside, especially when we lived in a smaller place.
When I built my new house, I had the laundry room connect to the master closet. This has made life a lot easier for me. In my old house the laundry room was on the complete opposite side of the house. I felt like all I did was carry close around the house on my days off.
@@AlexaJuncaj Related: People usually live in upstairs bedrooms but washers and dryers are often put on the main floor or even in the basement. Some people are doing the extra plumbing work of getting the washer and dryer upstairs so at least you can do laundry without using the stairs!
omg I can relate so much. This video has became my favorite minimalist journey talk❤. genuine, efficient, calming. You got me at the "love at first sight" statement. I ran into minimalist UA-camrs in Feb this year and searched for all genres of minimalist lifestyle content and I was obsessed. ln March I started to declutter my closet, doc my asset inventory (ofc I have a spread sheet for it /so freakin good), budget and journal my takeaways. It already brought me sooo much soothing air and peaceful power to reactivate my creativity (Im a content writer). I also struggled with compulsive purchase and maximalism aesthetics down the road, but l always come back eventually. Thanks for reminding us the importance of remembering your whys. simple living feels just so delightful, "we must be thinking like a cloud sometimes" ☁
Minimalism definitely makes life so much easier. I'm also LOVE the freedom aspect of it, as it's something I highly value. Here's to being a minimalist and leading a better, more complete life.
Hardly. You have to internalize what being a minimalist means to you because everyone’s situation is different. A single young girl versus a stay at Mom with 2 children is vastly different. I’m a Dad btw so I’m just speaking from experience. With that said, kids don’t need as much as we think they do. 😊
For some reason I still haven't figured out, many vloggers like to left-right flip their video when they record or prior to uploading. The warning label on the sun visor appears to be reversed so that's what she's done here.

@@AlexaJuncaj Yes!! The area I struggle with is clothes. I'm minimal in that area, but I have a hard time liking clothes in general.
The Town Car is the right choice for a minimalist. It will last forever and has a lot a space to enjoy the emptiness of it.

That's such a dream!!! I have an ongoing list of things I'd do in my "dream house" and I'm adding this to it 🤣

even my bedding is now minimal. 2 summer quilts, 1 cooling mattress topper, winter comforter, 1 heating blanket,1 sheet set, 1 thin blanket, 1 bed skirt.

@@larashen wow thank you so much for this comment ❤️
I am currently in the decluttering process and it gives so much calmth and peace
Agree with everything you said on this video, good stuff! Wouldn't say I'm a minimalist but I'm always looking for ways to reduce my belongings
Cool Video 👍 I Think Parents With Small Children Would Benefit From This, And They Could Spend More Time Having Fun With Their Children

Really enjoy your perspective and glad you shared. Very well said and you elaborated perfectly.
I can so relate Alexa with everything you are saying. I just subscribed. Great video ❤
This is awesome 🙌🏾
I have recently started to live this way, I hope I learn something new ❤❤
If you buy only what you need and not want, there won't be a need for minimalism.

Use a water pick as a mini pressure washer for the outside of the toilet

Is minimalism possible when you have a toddler at home?😃

would you please define "minimalist"? Of course, it can be subjective. what is your standard?
