I would. My dream would to be able to support my family working my own hours and working with my fiancé so we could spend all our time together. Then we could take the same time off to spend with our children. I just wouldn’t know what todo as as I work in sales and she works in a nursery.

@@SimonSquibb I used to work with my fiancé before in retail and loved every minute. We worked the same day and same shifts as her mum was the manager and due to my mental health, couldn’t be without her. Then I went into sales in the security industry. I’ve looked on helpbnk for ideas. I was thinking of something along the lines of me doing the sales and on the road which is what I do now and my partner doing the work from home and admin side. she can still be here for children school runs etc. it’s just the actual idea in what to do that we could do together.

I've worked for myself for 6 year's, and had my business 12 years. I've always wanted to work for myself, never saw the point of working for another business and I never liked it.
I started it while working in a supermarket after many other jobs, I was living in my overdraft with my now wife and 1st child.
It's best feeling ever quitting knowing someone no longer has control over you.
I'm now looking at exploring other opportunities.
The only person that get in your way and stops you from trying is yourself.

Wow this was good. I do a lot of what I want, but my problem is taking the next step - before I had a family it was always a hunt for the next mountain to climb. I am not short of money right now, but lack the courage and will to take the next step. Your advice to those you meet and the way you plant the idea that it is great to pursue your dreams is fantastic. you also strikes me as someone who, despite your success, has both feet on the ground and love for those around you ❤. Hats off to that - warm thoughts from here in Denmark 🥰 And I especially love your point about investing in property. I would like to disrupt that industry, especially when I meet the smart sellers who take a high percentage of the fee a sale can give - I would rather see that it could go to something inspiring than into their pocket for their next empty material thing they want to buy.

I've been watching the full What's Your Dream playlist. This one hurt my feelings and inspired me. I work in real estate and eventually would like to be a real estate developer and build houses, townhomes and apartment buildings. The way you told the young man to come up with another dream was disheartening. But I also recently started a travel instagram account as a way to be creative. Your support for the lady at the end to create a travel blog was hopeful. I'm now researching ways for it to generate income down the line to be sustainable.

Many individuals are already working in jobs they find fulfilling or necessary for financial stability. Instead of encouraging them to quit, it could be more valuable to offer support and resources to those who aspire to start their own businesses. There are numerous aspiring entrepreneurs out there who are seeking opportunities and guidance to kickstart their entrepreneurial journey. By focusing on assisting those who want to initiate their own businesses, we can contribute to fostering innovation and economic growth in a more sustainable manner.

I fully understand and get the reasoning behind these videos, they're good to watch. The only issue is, if somebody does well and starts a company they're going to need staff to work for them, reliable hard working staff to help support the start of that new business. So when simon talks about being stuck in the system, break free and be your own boss, surely that's putting more people into the system by creating that new business?

An app that enables people to score their monthly spending habits against criteria of their choosing (will start with environmental, i.e. how much mondu do you spend on stores that are bad for the environment). That is the harder bit to design. The easier bit of the app but most important would be automatef advice from the app on which shops brought the score lower.
Would make the world a better place and there is demand for it. Could increase demand by adding criteria e.g. how much money do you spend on non-animal product clothes, etc.

I wouldn't quit for 500k, I am lucky to be accepted into a union Electrician apprenticeship in the US, 5 Years of paid for schooling, earn while you learn, work as an Electrical apprentice by day, go to school by night, raises every year, and once I top out (after 5 years), I ll be a union Journeyman Electrician.
Making over 100k a year + full medical, dental and vision benefits for the family, 2 pensions and an annuity (3 retirement plans), and the best thing about it, is that work is fun as hell, always changing the environnement and scenery!
Great comfortable honest middle class life, I can also become a Foreman and a Superintendent! Sky is the limit. I am blessed.

Not in the slightest. £5k is 2-3 months salary max. Not worth giving up stability for that. In 3 months it hasn’t worked, the money is gone and you have no income.
