Wish I’d seen this before I wove with some wool yarn yesterday…. It’s looking a bit clunky where I joined in ….

It also works brilliantly for cottons Lesley - a bit fiddly, but so well worth the effort.

Hello and thank you so much for your videos so clear and useful !
I have a question about the selvedge when we weave 3 short color sequences in the weft .. (as stripes of 2/3 inches wide for example ).
Do you cut the 2 other colour threads at each change of colour or do you pass them through the selvedge ? I try this second option but I can't get clear selvedges this way.
When it’s only an alternance of 2 colours it’s ok but with 3 it becomes ugly and irregular.
I don’t know how to put the 2 threads the most neatly Have you got a tip in this case ? Thank you very much and excuse for my bad English : I’m french😅😅😅

Hi there! Your English is waaay better than my French - so please don't apologise. I will only carry my weft up the selvedge if I have only two colour - never more, and if the colour changes are short. i don't carry my weft for more than four picks at the absolute most. i know that it is more effort to cut and change colours all the time, but the result is so much better that I strongly recommend you do this.
