It's magic! Buffalo plaid here I come...I just finished two dish towels and cloths using this join. Thanks to you, they look great! Awesome help. Thank you!
Whatever happened to you? I see all these were posted a year ago; hopefully you and yours are well and enjoying your weaving....Looking forward to more of your wonderful instruction!
This was a great video. As a beginner with only two misc scarf projects finished, all of my joins have looked terrible because I was just winging it. This method makes much more sense. Thanks!
What an easy technique! I made the Country Plaid towels using red and white but I substituted blue yarn for the 2 pick rows. They came out great! I’m planning to make some more as gifts. I hope you do some more videos! Thank you!
Wow! I love this technique! I really could have used this info a few days ago when weaving my first kitchen towels from Sugar and Cream cotton yarn, which would have been perfect for the split plies. This is my new favorite technique as I plan to do a lot more towels! Thanks!
Just learned this is not entirely feasible with a Gist yarn - Mallo, since it’s unevenly spun. But would work fine with their Beam yarn. I’ll use the old tuck method for mallo and the split ply method for Beam :)
I wish I had seen this video before I started my coffee table runner. It never would have occurred to me to do a method like this. A couple of questions: (1) Are there any yarns this will NOT work on? (2) Do you ever have the unplied trimmed ends come out with repeated washing? Thanks so much for this tip! I'll be using it all the time from now on.
Hi! I noticed your gofundme link! Meanwhile I’ve been looking for the pdf mentioned in this video but I can’t find it. Is there a way you can offer it for sale or send these pdfs as a gift with donation? Darrin’s contribution to rigid heddle weaving teaching is greatly appreciated!
Please do some more videos. Few are as succinct, clearly explained and as professionally filmed as yours.
this is ingenious. i so wish you had more tutorials. you’re an amazing teacher.
Thank you! Btw, hope you are keeping well - 2 years without a video, we are missing you 🌹
Thank your for your excellent instructions on how to add new yarns that become invisible after wet finishing! See up the great work.
