Optimum defy breakage box relaxer was amazing on my hair 4c hair. I later big chopped 2 months in. I regret I chopped, but life was too busy for me to care for relaxed hair. I’m going to self relax again and use that.
Yesss, that is the best relaxer I’ve used to date 🙌🏾. For me I feel like it’s the opposite, but if it was a big chop, for sure short natural hair is way easier. Hope all goes well for your next relaxer 🙏🏽💕
My hair felt dry with the dark and lovely ,the conditioner gave me the look of shea butter. I think they have different types and l might try the other one without shea butter and see
Same, I did not like how my hair felt with the dark and lovely at all. If you get to try the one without thr shea butter would love to see what you think about it.
I use profective but I think for my next relaxer I wouldn't mind trying something else because I found that my hair felt dry but honestly my hair came out so straight when using it.
All I used to use was (Africans Best) and before that and after I will use a cholesterol that had olive oil in it.. I hate the consistency but the results were really good .. a really grew my hair a lot... But my perm worked like heaven .. I just decided to go natural a long time ago.. because I thought it would be more time consuming ,but I was wrong laugh my butt off... Now I keep on thinking ..do I want a perm or not .. my hair has its days.. I Love My curls though.. and my afro
Try Africans best you'll love it but one thing about a perm whatever you use you have to stick with that or you'll damage your hair yes my opinion but also my experience ...
Thank you for sharing hun, I will look out for the Africans Best. My aim is to stick to Optimum, if not ORS as the variety of relaxers I have access to atm are limited. I’m contemplating if to go natural but I am not about the drama 😅 although it would be nice to see what my natural hair is saying especially now with the range of products on the market it may make it a little more manageable. I feel you though, I remember when my Afro was my signature style 🥰
I don’t understand your rating system. For instance, 6 out of 6 usually means excellent. But I think it’s negative in your system. When heard you say “one out of six” that is usually poor but you rank it as excellent.
A ranking system and a score/point system are two different things. In a ranking system (which is what I used) 1 would be the best as in 1st place. Think of it as a race, if there are 6 runners and you finish 6th, you are last, if your finish 1st you are 1st out of 6. I think you are referring to a scoring/point system where 6/6 would be 100%, like a star rating. Hope this clarifies it for you.
I enjoyed your video. Its amazing to observe how each of us have different preferences when it comes to our hair. As for me, I have been using "Creme of Nature and Optimum" for years because they're the only brands that offer more than 6oz of product. I have mid back length, thick hair and I have found that using those brands like Olive Oil and paying $15+ just to run out and need two jars is crazy 😂The consistency of the older brands are also much thinner.. Therefore, product quantity/quality is just as important to me as the price. As it relates to the smell you mentioned, perhaps you should try Creme of Nature's new Straight from Eden care line, with natural avocado, coconut and olive oil. Because its 100% plant-based, It smells nice, in my opinion.
Thank you. Great point, you know I’ve never thought to pay attention to the size vs cost when with everything else I usually do 😸🤦🏾♀️. But I really loved the Optimum. Currently, it’s been a year since I’ve relaxed my hair but if I do decide to relax again I’d look for the CON you mentioned. Thanks for watching 🤍✨🫶🏽
Hey, I have never used this relaxer so I am unsure. However I have heard it is good for persons with fine hair or those who prefer more texture remaining in their hair.
I just decided to go natural earlier this year. I will check it out though and maybe try it if i ever go back to being relaxed. Thank you for the recommendation.
Back when I relaxed I always loved not using the gloves. It was much easier that way. Darn KeraCare is a scam 😂😂😂😂 glad you found out. Never knew they got bootleg relaxers

Try using a purifying or clarifying shampoo after the neutralizing shampoo and then do a deep treatment. Made a diff for me

Agreed, the protectiv does my hair so well. I’ll be trying the ORS so I will see how that goes.
I realized that the profectiv line is protein based, maybe the reason for the dryness
I add one tablespoon of avocado oil infused with green tea to the Profectiv relaxer. I get beautiful results.

Same thing I said
One out of six would be poor if I rated the product 1 out of 6 stars or something. I ranked the product first out of 6 products etc.
My mom said Dark and lovely was like putting a scissors in her hair, it was garbage from long time.
😆 lol. Moms and I in the same boat oui 😂😂😂 💜

My hair loves the ors, creme of nature was not bad, but the profective was drying and did not do my hair well.....
I found that the profective does my hair really straight but it is drying to the hair.
I am going to give the ORS another try. Not that I have a choice anyway lol. But will try to see if there is a difference with the dryness.
I am a little confused as to which soft sheen carson Optimum relaxer u liked. Was it Lye or No Lye. Thanks for the video :)
Hi, all the relaxers mentioned were box relaxers so I believe it was the no lye version.
Thank you for watching ❤️
I used the optimum relaxer for my 3b hair type for 20 minutes but my hair is still curly
Yikes,😢 I hope you were ale to find a relaxer that works for you.
1 is good or 6 confuse
It seems so....that's a bit unsual in terms of how most people tend to rate things.
I would like to try the affirm relaxer but I have never seen it in trinidad.
Same here , and Amazon only sells it in bulk.
Someone should become a distributor😂 Mizani is difficult to find in TnT too.
Your hair looks fabulous in this video which relaxer did you had this time
Thank you chick! This was the Profectiv Mega Growth Relaxer.
The dark and lovely triple nourished silkening relaxer is amazing for my hair. The other type not so much.
Ohh nice.
Wait, the rating system is 6 being the worst?
Yessss 🙈🙉🙊 Is the Dark and Lovely #1 on your list?
What do you think about just for me hair relaxer
Hey, I have never used this relaxer so I am unsure. However I have heard it is good for persons with fine hair or those who prefer more texture remaining in their hair.
I’m confused , is 6/6 good or bad
Lowest
You need to try Hawaiian some and silky
I just decided to go natural earlier this year. I will check it out though and maybe try it if i ever go back to being relaxed. Thank you for the recommendation.
Sorry I am. Late but I'm here now 😊

Ikr, it’s a lot easier without gloves. Well, someone is making bootleg relaxers using their name but yes happy I found out.
So you rated it 1 outta 6 because you cant find it in Italy? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 wah dis man? 😂😂😂😂😂
This is what you got from what I said? 🤕😥🥴😫 lol. Yikes!
