People already like the frontier for how mechanically simple it is. Having an option for a factory v8 with the titan swap would definitely make it compete with the ranger raptor and the other options. It would help sell the more regular trims if people knew they could do amazing things to them like that.
That just sounds glorious with the v8. I like how almost everything, if not all, of the stuff in the engine bay and undercarriage came from stock Frontier/Titan. Sounds like a hell of a plan that was very well executed. This collaboration is a step in the right direction for Nissan.
The VK56 swap is common on the 2nd gens so I was happy to see the first 3rd gen when this debuted for sema! I love my vk56 in my 23 lifted titan pro4x :)
Okay now Nissan, now that the mad scientist has demonstrated that this is possible. Please make this truck, a lot of people will buy it rn because the new Tacoma seems like a flop. You will steal a lot of customers off other mid size trucks. Competition. I am seriously considering buying a Pro4x frontier but I am hoping they make the warrior concept or a V8 optioned frontier.
good thing is you can titan swap the front suspension very easily on the 3rd and the motor was really easy on the 2nd gens since they sit on a shorten titan frame. I titan swapped my Xterra suspension when I had it check out.... z1offroad or alldogs off road for the bolt on kits.
@@chrisforsbergracing You need to tell them to honestly add a V8 VK56 option for the Frontier!! I would be first in line to buy Frontier Pro8x VK56 Offroad edition!!!!!
I watched the last Terra Crew update where James has his Nissan Frontier ready for wiring. I really like prerunners because I prefer 2WD trucks and driving fast off-road.
Since I get my new frontier back in December 2023, I always wondered what if there was one V8 and now there is, will buy it as soon as it is available.
Hey Chris any chance you will have a part list or are you teaming up with nizmo for parts? I am titan swaped but on frontier spindle and hubs. Would love to swap front diff and working on rear end now.
Makes me wonder because of the canbus system would that mean they used the 2020 plus titan v8? Stock 9 speed in frontier or did they have to swap over the titan transmission but those were also 9 speeds by 2020 if i remeber correctly. Hope the details of rhe swap get more laid out because i can see people doing this in the future like on the last gen frontiers and xterras
@@orion_actualI’m questioning if they had to pair the VK56 with the older first gen Titan 5 speed automatic transmissions or were able to pair it with the new 9 speed. Obviously the 9 speed would be better. But probably also depends on which VK56 they put in, the older VK56DE or the newer VK56VD.
@@dylanmerker9901 why use a different trans when it's litterally the same 9 speed between the two. And he said they had to use 2020+ specific modules to make it work so chances are it's a 2020+ titan V8
@@fzR-up2uu Lmao I get better in my 700hp f150 and got around 12mpg in a 09 Silverado on 14 wides and 40s. But for some reason 18x9 wheels and 35s on a v6 Tacoma is not the jam. It atleast has a tune but I'm guessing someone changed the gear ratios before I got it. The speedo is right so the mileage should be and it gets up and goes even compared to stock Tacoma's. The 12.5mph is prolly cuz I drive like I'm late constantly but even driving nice my city/highway average is like 14. Fml
John at LHT Performance removed the stock V6 from a new 2020 Colorado and installed the V8 and 6-speed automatic transmission from a wrecked 2020 Silverado. He uses the V8 Colorado as a daily driver & shop truck in Florida and gets 30 MPG on the highway. ua-cam.com/users/shortsltQhLyngeAM?si=_I2QNgr9KkbPWC8I
People reallly want Nissan to make production for this truck platform & not talk about price manger. I am sure it will be over $80k-$110k which we couldn’t afford to buy that at this economy.
They quit making the Titan use the left over engines to offer this in the Frontier. Hell the frame is basically the same Same trans etc etc. Gen 2 Gen 3 not really much diff
My favorite Frontier/Navara is the 1000 horsepower Navara-R because it adds the V6 from the GT-R. ua-cam.com/video/yxIUDl7XZ7k/v-deo.htmlsi=AV67IMknzT2EvMz5

Would be awesome!
These trucks are so indestructible when my v6 goes it’s getting a full titan swap
@@floopydoopy9410 same with mine. Tempted to grab a vk56 to really build up.
I would have paid raptor prices for a factory frontier with a V8 option.

this as a factory option with the wide body to contend with the trx/raptor would be dope the "modern sport truck" market is kinda lopsided i feel

Unfortunately due to the US Gov regulations you won’t see a V8 in a midsize.
Too bad Nissan doesn't have the guts to produce this truck. Very nice rig. I love it!
This truck needs to be put into production to really help Nissan compete! Give the people what they want Nissan!!
Would be rad to have a V8 Frontier from factory!

Nissan - build this now that the Titan is dead!!! Just an awesome project.
Finally, a motor that matches the exhaust sound. Sounds tough as hell
Nissan should build the Titan Warrior or make a Frontier Warrior
Yes they should, Nissan trucks are so criminally underrated.
A Frontier Warrior would be something!!
I'm pretty sure they made a navara warrior for the australian market
@@JH-dz7cq yeah its an after market named Prem co i guess.
I love that idea!!!!
This is sick. I don't know how theyre isn't more views. Just straight awesome!!!
What a fantastic build... we need another video showing the engine bay and underside some more ... loving the content!!😊
Just bought a 24 pro4x in tactical green, live it
This is the truck everyone really wants! Throw in a super duty axle instead of the ifs and it would be THE very best truck 🤘
Nissan really needs to make this an actual factory option they would sell like hotcakes
Nissan, if you're watching, do this please. You already have all the parts just put it together and sell it.
Mannnn that's a nice beast...
Sounds so good!!!!
🔥🔥looks Like a baby TRX
Man this thing is SICK. I’d love to see some cabin footage of the engine being pushed a little bit.
Legendary 🏆

If Nissan could make this at sub $70k it would be be amazing. All the parts are already there. Hope they think about it
If that was production, I’d buy one tomorrow.
I got a Titan. If there was a v8 Frontier, I would have gotten that.
Wide body kits please where can I get it?

The transmissions the same between the Frontier and Titan
So Xterra people have been swapping the Tiatan V8 for a while now. So I find it hard to believe that no one else has swapped a Frontier
When did they start making the axis wheels in 18s and 6x5.5?
I want one. How much?
i'd like to see this truck on TFL trucks youtube channel.
Wonder how tall it would be if the lower control arms were level instard of extended?
That’s pretty badass! 👏

When will the bumper be available?
I love my 2023 with the 3.8, but what would take it to the next level would be a turbo diesel!!!
Can i buy a guide on the canbus, wiring from you?
Did you have to pair the VK56 with the factory 5 speed auto transmission?
D41 frontier uses the same 9 speed out of the Titan.

Nissan can out build every truck, as long it has a real 6ft bead
All dogs beat you to the punch at titan swap sorry it’s not the first. But it is the first wide body.
wasnt that just a suspension swap
