  • The NASCAR Cup Series had a record 5 overtimes in the Ally 400 at Nashville. After the race, drivers, fans and media suggested it was too many attempts to finish under green, but is there a better solution?
In this clip from the O'Reilly Auto Parts Pit Reporters, Bob Pockrass says he believes 5 overtimes are too much, but he applauds NASCAR for doing everything it can to ensure a green-flag finish for race fans. Bob says if fans are going to invest the time to attend a race, they deserve to see it finish under green.
Jim Utter from Motorsport.com says if NASCAR is going to stick with overtime, they should have a green-flag finish. While it's not Jim's preference, he says NASCAR doesn't have a choice when it comes to overtime. You either have it until there's a green-flag finish or not at all. #NASCAR #Ally400

its pretty hard to inspect all the variables involved in the fuel system, just a simple inch or two in the length of a line, a bladder that shrinks when not full, a fuel filter that is just a little bigger, i don't think the average person realizes how easy it is to cheat when you have millions to work with. and roger has always been the guy that thought way ahead of the completion, how many remember when he ran american motors cars, actually changing brake pads in a pit stop, no doubt in my mind he came up with something.
