Fact that this is more powerful than the switch
I bought into the Apple tv 4k and I'm impressed with it.
Heck, even the shows on apple tv are great. Foundation and Invasion is what I'm currently watching.

Any dolby issues? For me certain dolby content is not showing up as dolby vision/atmos even though it should be in dolby. The weird thing is it’s only some shows within certain apps. Like entertalactic on Netflix was showing the dolby badges but not Narcos. Some will show atmos but will not show vision and vice a versa.

What is your best Apple TV settings
For OLED ….is it better to Leave Match Dynamic Range and
Match Frame Rate OFF or ON
I currently have both off in Video Settings what’s the benefit when streaming from Netflix HBO Prime Video ??
I use match range and frame rate, yes, on my G2 OLED and in my theater. I'll be some ATV settings content coming up.

This is good, but what I'm wondering is if I can buy two different SD cards to have more than one save file for games if I want to put more than one account on it. I don't really want to buy two of these if I can just share them with others if they are their own save files as well
There is no use of SD cards for backup or storage on the Apple TV. Saves go to iCloud.
Hello. I have the Apple TV connected to the Marantz sr7015 receiver. I only want to use the LG magic remote to control the devices connected to the receiver. As of right now, I am not able to control the apple tv with the LG remote. How are you controlling your Apple TV?
I control my ATV with either the included remote or my Control4 Halo. You should be able to use to the LG remote with CEC/pass through control of the ATV though. That might make a good future video.

So what’s actual benefit of the 128GB version ? Can you store movies / series on there . What’s the advantage of the larger storage ? Can we now store series to watch later from the TV + app ?
More space for apps, but more importantly more space for games, if you use your Apple TV for that purpose.

Reduced the heft and took out the fan. It's OK though. The new box is really great.

My main preference for the Apple TV is all about quality. Check the various videos on the channel. I talk about ATV quite a bit.

They did not cheapen on the box, the new one does not have a fan to cool the box.

Firstly the tvOS is by far superior to ANY other streaming box/stick/dongle and you can use it for at least five to eight years as the box gets OS updates for many years.
Secondly, also on Fire Stick Netflix/Hulu/Disney+/whatever is only accessible with a subscription. And the subscriptions have the same price tag anyways.

I still use three Apple TV boxes - the HD from 2015, the 4K 2020 and the current one 4K 2022.
In combination with a decent home cinema AV receiver and loudspeakers, a proper 4K HDR+ TV set your viewing experience will blow your mind.
And when there are already Apple devices used in the household, it simply makes a fantastic addition.
If you spend now 180€ for a current box and use it for five years, that makes 36€/year, or 3€ a month.
What is overpriced about that? Seriously!

Infuse will work with lossless audio up to 7.1 channels, just not Atmos or DTS:X. It will output that 7.1 as PCM, not bitstream, but it is fully lossless.
yes indeed, but i’m ready to sacrifice that since i do not have a proper 7.1 setup
i just need a bit clearer sound so thinking of getting a soundbar like sonos gen 2 so i can play 5.1 at least
i still live with parents so a proper setup is a no go since i watch movies when everyone is sleeping could be troublesome 😅
That's alot of storage but one question. You can't install movies on them anymore. How do you do that now after I updated it they removed that feature.
You really can't do that any more. The storage is for apps and data, not content.
Why do you have the Apple TV when you have kaleidoscope?
You still need an Apple TV to use stuff like UA-cam, UA-cam TV, Netflix, and so on. K is just a movie player for their own store.

I'm just wondering if Android users still need to have an Apple ID for an Apple TV. When I purchased my 2019 model it was only the fact I happen to have a discontinued iPad 1 that American assistant was finally able to hook me up. Well worth looking into before purchasing. Maybe things have changed.

I use Infinite cables for my 6' lengths and RUIPRO fiber optic cables for long runs. All HDMI 2.1 48 Gbps.
