You can change what the Apple "home" button does in settings so it doesn't open Apple TV but just goes home instead. So with UA-cam you would just reopen it again and carry on where you were.
I recently made the switch from firetv to Apple TV. I’m very pleased with the Apple TV experience. It’s expensive but you get what you pay for. The integration between iPhone, Apple Watch and MacBook is nice too.
I’ve had one for a few years and have decided I will never not have one, I have a premium tv & the experience is fantastic only 2 things beat it: 1: Sony Pictures Core (native app & close to Blu ray 115Mbps) 2: my Blu ray player & media, it’s still King But the Apple tv 4k is still the best streamer & EVERYTHING looks great through it
you can actually change what the TV button does on the remote. if you go to settings and then remote and devices and go to TV button you can change it to take you back to the home screen and not the Apple TV app.
Changing profiles actually changes a few things - you can set up your app so each member of a household can use it with their own Apple TV account. When a user logs in, your app can access their preferences and GameCenter and iCloud data. If your app is also available on iOS or iPadOS, a user can pick up where they left off on their personal device as well. A great example is when I go to a friend or family member’s house with Apple TV I can select my profile and instantly continue watching started content or access apps that you may have subscription too that other users may not - apple music and other apps that support the User Management capability.
hey man u can actually customize the home button so it doesn't take u to tv app but the home page, in the settings, I find this to be way less annoying and turn off the touch pad, it drives me nuts

Yes you should. Much faster and better than the competition. Roku is also a very good option. Both fast and provide constant updates. The Apple TV looks more premium. If you are paying for your content Apple is the no brainer especially if you have a iPhone or other Apple products
I am looking at buying one even though I'm NOT in the Apple ecosystem. Why? Simply because I want to move away from Sky TV and there is an app on Apple tv called 'TV Launcher' which is exclusive to Apple products and curates all your live TV into one programme guide. When you select a certain programme it automatically launches the appropriate app and plays the selected content. In other words tv over ip. And it is so fast you barely notice the app launching in the background. There is nothing else in the market that does this and the app is very feature rich. I'll wait for the new version of Apple tv though, which will probably drop next month. Great video by the way!
