- We should be thankful that cars like the Ariel Atom exist. Even if you aren’t into its looks, or its performance, it’s just plain rad that a company exists solely to make a pure, no-frills performance vehicle that RIPS on any track it hits. And of course they’re built in a shed in the UK. A very nice shed, but a shed nonetheless.

Ive owned an Atom2 for 12 years and it has been a joy. I call it my 4 wheel motorcycle all the time. Not really a bike..but as close to two wheel travel as you can come.It is safe..fast..and lots of fun. I would not trade it for any other means of transportation available.

Personally, I like AutoFocus much more than other Hoonigan channels.

Real question is, where’s the nomads? Also would’ve liked to see more of those bikes.
Prob few being built now as they are flat out on the new Atom 4 builds. There were a load a few months back of the Nomads.
They should do a limited Nomad V8
@@americanpanzer4163 Well if enough ppl asked I suppose! In reality no updates on the nomad for a while. The Nomad 2 when it comes will doubtless be the new type R but as that needs a new rear end there no incentive to do this soon.

So the new Atom runs the new Civic Type R motor. Just damn.
New one, old one. (the UK versions have been Type r since the Atom 2 in the mid 2000s) The US version has some type rs but mostly domestic US engines. The Atom 4 is type r everywhere

For $20k you can build a 300hp Exocet that, according to Matt Farrah, drives better than an Atom. I’ve put 15k miles on my exocet. An Atom would be epic though.

An engineering student was looking for a new chassis design . I showed him a strip of wood bent into a nearly teardrop shape. Then we discussed suspension and in the rear we came up with the wide whishbone. I said bending the tube would be a huge problem. He said to use seamless Boiler tube. To prevent cracking the tube low temp Bronxe welding to be used. I never told him that the shape was from a Upside down Dory made of wood that would not break up in rough seas. New Technology? What was that students name.? I forget .Mid 1970's. Huntington, NY .

What do they do with that perfectly good Civic without a motor? Seems like an expensive way to do it. Why not just buy a crate motor?
That’s is just what they do. If you look round the back of the Somerset factory there's some toxic wasteland with 60 dead Civic TypeR’s, hearts removed waiting to get cut up and go to the tip.
Even better than VTEC would be a V10 F1 engine...

Only the US atoms - and even they are type r now for the 4.

BAC Mono is single seater and for the price you could have 3 well spec'ed Atoms for the price.
Uhm I'm pretty sure any superbike is basically the two person superbike since they usually come with two seats

A "2 person superbike" is just called a superbike. Just use the pillion seat.
And then yanks ruin them with plastic side panels and scaffolding on top.
