- How to get RID of WEED GRASS permanently, in todays video i show you how i like to get RIDof WEED GRASS in my lawns, all you need is an edging tool and a maybe a spade and a tin of grass safe spray paint. Weed grass is a excellent lawn will drive you crazy so take the oppurtunity to rid your lawn of weed grass for good.

Thats not spare lawn its just an area of lawn you could remove a good patch from your lawn and re seed one big patch rather than lots of little ones
Great concept, very intrigued. When you put the weed grass square back in the “donor” area, do you put it soil side up and reseed? Or how do you prevent that from infecting the donor area with weed grass? Thanks.

Really struggling with how to tell if my grass is weed grass or not.
I have patches that look a bit lighter and the leaves are quite thick but not sure if it's weed or ryegrass. I have a mixture or rye and fescue in my front lawn it might just be that?
Is there an easy way to tell?

Danny, if I have nowhere to cut a replacement patch from, would it be OK to dig the weed grass out and fill in with topsoil and add seed?
Yeah but maybe take from nearer a corner and seed in the corner

Just out of interest ~ if you had applied turf hardener and magnesium (I know the customer has to pay for it ) more often would you have a better lawn ~ fair amount of winter shade around the one in video ~ I have a similar issue of trying to keep the good work intact.
Better lawn in colour yes but whatever lawn you have it Wouldnt improve the quality of grass
I've got much larger areas of weed grasses in the middle of my lawn probably about a metre square. Dan what's the solution here?

My lawn was trashed by worms last winter and has loads of weed grass. I pay Lawnmaster but they don’t even comment or notice it. Should I sack them and use someone else? I live on Norfolk.

Hi Daniel, great tips for removing weed grass, is there a chemical you could use? I have seen one they use in America, Tenacity made by Syngenta a pre-emergence herbicide which is not licensed in the UK.
I have before now used roundup to kill off then remove, not sure about tenacity its banned here like you say so Ive never used it, but its a weedkiller first n foremost, there will be chemicals that kill weed grasses but they probably kill everything else to so no good for turf

Your Video has done nothing for me, so no subscription, may I suggest When your using a video hold it steady , hold focus on the thing your trying to show at least 5 seconds, 10 if its important, Hosepiping plays hell with the eyesight, seasick after a few minutes and why would a person remove a turf with weed grass and place it back in any area of a lawn, the weedgrass is there to regerminate , Sorry your suggestion didn't do anything for me
