Iron Man Armored Adventures was so peak, teenage Tony just works. They’ve even have a teenage Iron Man in Marvel’s Ultimate comics right now and he’s great too
Yeah I really liked it too but I find that Season 1 kind of pales in comparison to S2. Season 2 improved on vastly everything from 1, basically all of my favorite episodes in Armored Adventures are from Season 2, it was also much better paced as well
The Green Lantern show had some oddly philosophical moments to it, like when Hal's girlfriend had to explain to an AI about what love means. It also had some stellar characterization, and its ultimately why I became so enamored by Green Lantern.
i remember watching the batman 2004 as a kid and loving it but i never finished it i rewatched it two years ago and loved it even more now than i used to it was so good and underrated
The Batman from 2004 is my favorite superhero cartoon of all time! I have watched and rewatched the series like 4 times now, it never gets old! The show that not only made me fall in love with Batman, but comic books as a whole, I'll never let the series die as long as I live
*Here is my history with all of these shows* Green Lantern: The Animated Series ~ Unfortunately I didn’t watch too much of it. I caught some episodes but I wasn’t too into it because I wasn’t huge on the CGI look and preferred other versions of Green Lantern at the time like John Stewart. The Batman ~ I remember having a book with all the character designs but never being able to catch it much back when it was airing. I caught a couple episodes and it was the first time I ever saw Robin. Later, reruns would run on Boomerang and I finally got to watch it…..Seasons 1 and 2 that is. Later, I would seek out the rest of the seasons online and loved it. Young Justice ~ I was on and off in this show but when it got good, it got good. Haven’t seen Season 3 and 4 yet though. Iron Man: Armored Adventures ~ I watched a couple episodes but I didn’t follow it. I really liked The Mandarin design though. Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes ~ This is the show in this video that I’ve watched all the way through. Multiple times even. This was my introduction to the Avengers. This is the show that made me excited to see them on the big screen. This is the show I experienced get cancelled and replaced with an inferior movie commercial. This show was my standard for all things Avengers. X-Men: Evolution and Wolverine and the X-Men ~ There was a time I just watched anything X-Men. I recorded episodes of the 90s show and these two shows and on weekend mornings I would wake up and watch some X-Men. I personally prefer both these shows over the 90s one mostly because the 90s does show its age, especially compared to how well Batman: The Animated Series aged in my opinion.
@@taffisworldI think you will enjoy it. Also i forgot to mention, the character design of that show is done by Derrick Wyatt (Teen Titans and Ben 10 Omniverse)
This was a strong list! A bit of clarification about Green Lantern: The Animated Series is that the poor toy sales came from the movie toys, but retailers were uninterested in getting GL:TAS's toys since the former flopped, which doomed the show. As for other forgotten superhero shows I'd like to see some thoughts on, then Legion of Super Heroes, Beware the Batman, Hit-Monkey, and for a non DC/Marvel example, Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters. Thanks!
The fact that these are considered forgotten makes me want to cry. Each was at the top of their class and to this day are some of the best adaptions of DC and Marvel properties.
Ultimate Spider-Man was one of my favourites when I was a kid, I just loved seeing all the different characters interacting and finding new characters I hadn’t heard of pop up
i hated it when i premiered but looking back it wasn’t that bad i was just mad because it was replacing spectacular spider-man and i didn’t like some of the artistic choices
I enjoyed the first season but it was way too formulaic and not like Power Rangers formulaic where we see a similar ending but rather each and every sentence in the show is followed up by Peter breaking the fourth wall with a childish joke.
Bro I love how you present your videos with the cardboard character The walking Sketches And just feeling relatable This video was needed for our generation Thank you
Also, there is a Incredible Hulk animated series from the 90's. I can't say how good it is, since I've only watched it as a child, but from my memories it got right the sense of tragedy of being Hulk. Green man gets no peace. Other action cartoons I really liked that aren't as talked are Jackie Chan, Legion of Superheroes, Jake Long, Project Zeta, Juniper Lee and Sym-Bionic Titan.
Nice list, big fan of all the shows you've named. Glad that you mentioned that Razer and Kilowogg actually appear in the latest season of Young Justice. Still a shame we don't have S2 nor S5 of young justice but it was a massive surprise to see GLA in anything. I think had GLA continued we would've seen Jon, Katma, Arisia, Soddam, Kyle, Sora and the other important lanterns from Geoff Johns run + GL History. The lanterns have a massive cast and expansive lore so it's tricky to sometimes fit them all in a story especially one that was only 1 season long.
7:03 that movie was dark but it was good nonetheless. They censored a lot of the vampirism in that movie but I think you might like it. Just don’t watch it late at night
Spider man - the new animated series was my shittttt as a kid!! I grew up in the same era as you but I used to watch that show on Netflix from ages like 5-9 not even kidding.
I just discovered your channel, my guy, and I love this video as I also love all of these shows. I have so many fond memories of watching as a kid, and Im so glad I grew up in the early 2000s watching all these fantastic shows that got me into comics and superheroes. The shows in this video I especially have a deep love for our Green Lantern: The Animated Series (really got me into Green Lantern comics), The Batman (2004) (my favourite Batman show), Avengers: Earth Mightiest Heroes (best take don't he Avengers), Iron Man: Armoured Adventures (introduced me to Iron Man's world and villains before the MCU) and X-Men: Evolution (my first introduction to the X-Men), and dont get me wrong, I do love Young Justice (specifically Seasons 1, 2 and a bit of 4) and Wolverine and the X-Men is really solid show too, but the other 5 shows truly opened my eyes to all these amazing characters, worldbuilding and stories in both Marvel and DC media and yet so many of these BANGER shows get forgotten about when they all deserve so much more love and frankly some even deserve revivals on par with the amazing quality and animation and writing of X-Men 97, especially shows like GL: TAS or Avengers: EMH.
These superhero cartoons are most definitely underrated! Good work on your retrospective! I will always love X-men Evolution! Amazing series! This show has the best storyline and the best versions of several characters! Thank you for giving props to Avengers EMH and Young Justice, Iron Man Armored Adventures and of course Wolverine and the X-men!
as a kid that grew up watching tv, no video games or ipad, just tv, i watched all of these at one point or another. the batman was def the one i watched the most tho
The way superman talks about Connor's "death" and how he regretted the time he wasted when the team first found Superboy was one of my favorite Superman scenes ever. One thing I loved about young justice was how many of the Justice leaguers would make mistakes or be in the wrong. I personally think batman was in the wrong about keeping Billy's age a secret that did work out for them.
I used to watch Ironman Adventures, and Wolverine and the X-Men all the time. One Justice is a show I regret not watching as much as a kid though (I never knew what time it was on, and I had so many other shows I watched), but I’m watching them now
I grew up with the Green Lantern cartoon, and haven’t revisited but man do I still love it Also, I think the ending is good despite it being kind of a cliffhanger, gives your more interpretations on what happened next rather then make you feel disappointed that you didn’t see what happened next.
I remember watching X-Men Evolution when as a kid back in the day when it first came out IMO this was pretty cool i still have some of the burger king kids meal toys of this show good times 😊.

@McQueen95727Avengers Assemble is a work of the devil. I hated it so much especially because they cancelled EMH for it and then there was the crappy Hulk and the Agents of SMASH
X-men Evolution is extremely underrated. Also probably my favorite version of Night Crawler he gets so much spotlight in that show. Another show that always get forgotten is Spider-Man Unlimited, loved that show.
I loved the Iron Man Armored Adventures episode where they break into an ancient dungeon but from the wrong end so they basically avoided all the traps but now have to figure out the puzzle to get the treasure backwards. Thought that was an interesting take on the standard Indiana Jones-esque storyline. Like yeah, what happens if you just break into the dungeon from the back instead of going through the front door and facing all of the traps/whatnot?

Thank you avengers earths mightiest heroes was goated I just started rewatching on Disney plus since as a kid I never got to see the episode in order bc of cable and when I say the pacing and the stories told is amazing
I think my favorite forgotten super-hero animated show is, oddly enough, Spider-man New Animated Series, which aired at MTV. I always loved the mix of Ultimate Spider-man and Raimi Spiderman for the design of the protagonist. PS: Here in Brazil, X-men Evolution and Static Shock are highly regarded, because it was aired in the morning cartoon show of a Broadcast TV channel at about lunch time, so we kids would eat waching them. So many good memories.
Why didn't you mentioned Jeff Matsuda who was working on both The Batman and Wolverine and the X-man series? The bro is a GOAT
Nahhh u right I fumbled, Jeff Matsuda was a name i kept seeing in the credits

yeah it does kinda have that what if feel doesn’t it. It’s an acquired taste but i mess with it
Thank you avengers earths mightiest heroes was goated I just started rewatching on Disney plus since as a kid I never got to see the episode in order bc of cable and when I say the pacing and the stories told is amazing
I still need to finish watching the Mtv spider-man show. I started it last year but never finished it even thought I thought it was really cool.
Green Lantern the animated series was my childhood growing up learning English
10:47 i remember these shows 😊
Iron Man armored adventures will always a place in my heart
