    Plan on doing the same mount and location. Looks great by the way. Does the mount kit include everything you need or was there more needed?

      You will need to purchase a few fittings separately in order to route the hose from the compressor manifold at the correct angle. You can find more info about the fittings and hoses needed on JL Wrangler Forums.

    Great video. I plan on installing the same thing when my Jeep comes in. Can you share what you all ordered from ARB? I like that mount protection from the passengers in the back seat. Is this a complete kit or did you have to buy extra items to complete this install?

      Click on the description and scroll down, I’ve included all the part numbers you will need to order in addition to utilize this exact setup. Should be able to find on Northridge4x4 or eBay.

    Did you have to extend the wire harness the arb came with? I’m planning on ditching the spider web loom and keeping the purple wire, and wires for lockers while installed under either seat and fishing wires through the firewall. Ideally under the driver side.

      I went ahead and bought some 10-gauge wire and heat wraps just in case I will let you know. Edit: Hell, yes you have too it's too short when you run it under the jeep.

    Hi,when I looked up this part is shows a silver air canister that is mounted under the Jeep. Did you have to use this or can you fill directly from the dual air compressor? Thanks for sharing the video. cheers

    • @krazyk86cu
      @krazyk86cu  2 роки тому

      Sorry for the super late reply. Just now seeing this. The canister thing is the manifold. If you are just using to air up you do not need the manifold. If you plan on running air lockers, you will need the manifold to run the lockers.

    I know it has been a while since you posted, but I'm trying to install the same setup on my JLU and I am curious how you were able to get the wires through the Passenger side firewall grommet? I'm assuming you had to remove the ARB Connector or the 2 large ARB fuses? How do you remove and then re-attach the ARB Connector or 2 large ARB fuses in order to get the wires through the grommet?

    • @krazyk86cu
      @krazyk86cu  2 роки тому

      I’m going to be honest. Getting the harness through that grommet was the absolute biggest pain in the ass I have ever dealt with. If you are going to go through that grommet, make sure you pull out the battery and fuse box. It will help with access. I failed to do that with my install and it took hours with my body half way shoved into the wheel well.
      Rather than removing the fuses and pushing from the inside to the engine bay, I taped up the connectors and pushed them from the engine bay to the interior. I didn’t want to cut the fuses off and re-attach but that would likely be easier than the way I did it.

      @@krazyk86cu Thank you so much Bro !!!
      I am installing today the ARB compressor underneath the seat. This video is worth in gold for me 👍🏻I have quick question, hoping to get the answer quickly and hope others will find it useful, too.
      When you are talking about using the passenger side firewall grommet, is that the big grommet with main wiring going already through and you just add the compressor wires, or there is a SECOND grommet somewhere, same as the "blank" grommet on the drivers side? I chose to go your way (no fuse box removal), so I want to know what grommet I need to find...

    • @krazyk86cu
      @krazyk86cu  2 роки тому +1

      @@alopandur so it’s going to be the big grommet that is already in use. Have a look at this forum post I’m going to link and scroll until you see a picture of the grommet. The OP specifically advises against using the passenger side grommet, but they made their own hole in the side of the grommet. What I did was use that nipple looking piece and cut the end off of it. That way, you aren’t really in any danger of snagging the preexisting wiring. It’s a HUGE pain in the ass though, so be ready lol.

    Hello,
    quick question. Under the seat there is also a vent for heating, what did you do with that? Thank you.

    • @krazyk86cu
      @krazyk86cu  3 роки тому +1

      You just trim the vent with a utility knife. With this setup, the vent will just end up blowing on the compressor. The kit comes with instructions on where to cut it. On the JL forums I saw one guy who cut the flare off of it, removed a section and then reattached the flare lol

    Im installing my arb twin compressor in Jeep JL Rubicon under the seat and was wondering if you had to trim the air duct under the seat. I'm running into problems where the air duct is in the way of the bracket. Thanks for any information on how you installed yours.

    • @krazyk86cu

      Yes, you will need to trim the air duct. Assuming you are using the ARB mount, it specifies in the instructions to cut the duct. I just used a Dremel

    Aux 1 and Aux 2 are both 40 amp and the leads are under the hood and behind the glove box. You didn't need to wire anything under the hood.
