Also for the snakes, you just need to surprise them. That's why doorways are a good option since you are hidden behind the wall(or door). I think it also works with bushes and other obstacles if I remember correctly. You just need to hit them at an angle. That being said I haven't played this game in a while but you make me wanna play again haha
The embers are safe to go on, it's the fire traps you gotta worry about! The flame in the centre of those embers allows you to get a piece of gear when you kill enough enemies! Also, I think that the floors have infinite respawns, that's the only logical conclusion I can draw! Additionally, it's best to hit the enemy with a weapon whilst the exclamation mark is above their head as it causes more damage! Also-also, if I recall correctly, those sorts of ration packs (the one you started with) should wipe out your hunger from starving; it's usually best to wait till you're at that stage before using the larger one, whereas a lot of the other foods only only satiate your hunger by one stage, so you need 2 of them to get rid of hunger completely!
13:30 you need to stay still to keep the Sungrass healing. 20:30 there was an unexplored hallway to the right which probably had the key. Each key can only be used on that floor.
Thanks very much for the support! This is one of those games that throws a bunch of fun, chaotic moments at the player and I'm absolutely here for it. Glad you enjoyed! There will definitely be more.
You know what, buddy? I have been eyeing that game for some time now... I just don't know if I'd be willing to put the time into it because of all the other games I'm rotating in and out. That's a pretty complicated game, right? How much time did it take you to feel comfortable with it?
I had been watching others play before so I had a decent idea of the basic gameplay. It's not hard to pick up, but the game is both wide and deep. I have been playing on the Classic permadeath mode, but there is also a Roleplay mode with checkpoints (and the game allows you to save during a Classic run if you change the settings). it is one of my favorite games now.
I remember starting this game when I was 12 on a tablet... this game has come an incredibly long way since the bare-bones "just make the floors bigger and add more monster meat" approach Edit: Im a Rogue main. And you should also try Brogue 2nd edit: transmuting a potion or a scroll nets sometimes better results than just the base potion/scroll 3rd edit: keys are floor specific. So make sure no door goes unopened like you did on floor 2 4th edit: 17:59 you keep stepping on Flock traps. A little piece of advice: double-tapping the magnifying glass to search costs a few turns, while examining something by tapping the magnifying glass and then the object is absolutely free, so do it whenever you first encounter something. Also, NEVER assume a potion is a healing potion unless it drops from a Necromancer or a Swarm of Flies. I say this because if the dungeon has generated a puzzle room, it may be the solution (barricade: liquid flame, toxic vents: purity, Greek flame: Frost, Piranhas: Invisibility or Cloak of Shadows 4+ depending on room size) 5th: 23:28 you didnt have the full strength needed to accurately throw the kunai to begin with (kunai usually require 12-13 strength to throw accurately, you start with 11). Another two things to look out for: ring of might and ring of wealth. Ring of wealth is best for long term gains once youve dumped 3 upgrade scrolls into it
I love that you're trying out one of my fave games buuuut...you know that feeling you get when a noob in minecraft doesn't touch wood ...thats how I felt But as a pro I started out way worse so im proud 😊 P.S. when using characters mind their unique items and abilities Good luck ❤❤
I sunk so many hours into this. Having this on my rg353v it makes more like a retro game with the built in controller. Works on mobile for people missing out :)
You have unexplored places that's why u cant get the key all the locks has the key in the same floor also you can fall when you find a distant well to get to the next floor and get to a crystal locked room
I can give you some advises if you'll want(i have 1 quite useful tip that is quite hart to figure out on your own, and it isn't required but still useful)
At 17:50 The sudden music stop followed by the "Why did that happen?" is killing me. 🤣
I picked this up on mobile a while back. Looks like something one could sink a LOT of time into.
ah wow I love this game! I have it on my phone and it's a lot of fun

@@blame1991 Those level 1 snakes are ridiculous
@@tedmetal5598Yeah, I usually tend to zap them with a wand at range because attacking them up close makes it a lot harder to hit them!
@@tedmetal5598just take them thru a door and the attack 10 times. Once you have the Rogue unlocked, use the cloak like crazy

That's great to hear. I'd definitely like to keep playing it here.
43:48 the crab was on that floor, you should've found it and killed, and ghost would give you a reward
always happy to see new content of yours
this is one of those games that you need to examine an read everything
I completely agree with you on that.
Started playing this back in 2016, stopped for a long while and came back to it just a month ago and its so so much better now.
Reminds me a bit of Caves of Qud, my current obsession.

Oh I've played this ages ago
It's really good :3
It has been a ton of fun!
You can throw your dew vial into the health well to fill it up if you are already close to full health.
You can press on clock button to skip the turn or hold to skip turns until pressed again
9:24 you could've waited there(by pressing spacebar) and avoid getting hit
If something is unidentified you can use it to see what it is though it is often a bad result it can save lives
I love seeing newcomers to this game
