I can't help but notice you meet the most wonderful people and make friends so easily. Surely all the river people can't be this terrific -- or can they?
Wow, the difference between the huge locks and those tiny narrow ones is amazing! I’m glad you were able to cruise with your friends - definitely safer especially on a river.
You sure meet the nicest and kindest folks on the canals love the way everyone is willing to help out. Worcester looked very nice Dexter looked like he enjoyed his walk around the town. Take care ❤
That is the one thing we absolutely love about the boating life, the community. We have met some amazing people. Dexter definitely loved his trundle around Worcester. Hope you have a good weekend ❤️
Hi Anthony and Paul. That looked much more relaxed a trip. Worcester seemed to be a nice city to visit. It definitely looked like a good call for Paul to cruise with friends. Some of those locks might have been tricky as a single boater. Have a great weekend. Take care. Nick
Hey Nick. Was definitely more relaxing than last week. The people you meet makes it all that more special. The locks really would have been tricky as a solo boater. Hope you have a fab weekend ❤️
Beautiful reflections on the river! wow, like a painting. You really get to meet some lovely people on the rivers/canals don't you. What a life /sigh 🙂
We definitely met some lovely people. This is what I especially love about boat life. Gutted to have missed the last bit of the river but relived we were back on the canals when I got home from work. Have a good weekend ❤️
Spectacular scenery today. What enormous locks. I am in awe of Dexter's exuberance. He's clearly devoted to his dads and happy to be with you always. Thanks for taking me along. Leigh
Hey Leigh. It was absolutely stunning Leigh. We loved it. Dexter is such a beautiful, gentle soul. Thanks for travelling with us. Have a great weekend. ❤️
Thanks guys for taking us along on this beautiful river cruise, it's been fantastic. I hope that you three are doing well. Have a great weekend and a brilliant week to come. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Worcestershire is a beautiful place the cathedral is stunning I cannot believe Dexter is sixteen he seems to be really well the boating community are amazing people love to you all and hope you have a good week and stay safe
Hey Maureen. We loved Worcester. Can’t believe how old the cathedral is. To think, that was built without machinery. Dexter is doing so well bless him. It is definitely the community that makes boat life so amazing. Take care and have a good weekend ❤️
Well this was an improvement on last weeks trip, this was lovely and so peaceful. I’ve decided I like the electric engine, I loved the sound of the engine but it’s so peaceful. Great trip guys and love to the three of you. 💕
If you go to the university, you graduate at the Cathedral. Lectures walk through the city (parade)to get there on the day. Graduation is over 4 days and very special.
Aww that would be amazing Diane. My MSc graduation was at Carlisle cathedral and it was like being on the set of Harry Potter. I would love to see that in Worcester. Have a great weekend ❤️
The shots of the green banks reflected in the water as the sky was reflected in your solar panels were stunning! Leaving the river for the canals must feel like leaving the city for the country. Sending love and appreciation. 🙌😘🐶
Hey Michael. Love to at about the skylights. We were so relieved to leave the river. The lack of moorings can be a bit stressful. Hope you are keeping well and settled into your new home now. Have a great weekend ❤️
Now you are traveling in my home area. Thanks for showing the world just how beautiful it is. Making me homesick. Can't wait to see you cruise past Kidderminster and Wolverley. Thanks guys.
I'm seriously thinking of a selling up and getting a narrowboat. Been watching so many UA-cam channels and videos like this are really confirming it's something I want to do. Looks like such a great community.
Hey Greg. We love boating life and the community is amazing. It is a big step though and not for everyone. Make sure you do plenty of research and can’t recommend hiring in winter enough to make sure you don’t get a false sense of living on a boat. Maybe see you one day out on the cut. Have a great weekend ❤
Beautiful cruise today, I’m sure our Anthony will enjoy watching the video. 😊 Because of you two I’m hooked on river cruising, it seems much more interesting than the canals…
Hi all, that was absolutely beautiful, I glad you enjoyed Worcester 😊 it did look like quiet a tiring day going to Stourport, hope you are enjoying your weekend 🍁☀️🍁 xx
Hi, gentlemen! So today's River Severn cruise was a true pleasure. There's nothing like the reflection of Fall colors on the water. Note: it seems to me that it would be a nice goal to visit every pub and bakery along the waterways. Of course, Anthony, that would negate all attempts at living a healthy lifestyle! 😂 Paul, I know you like your cake, too. Safe cruising and have a fantastic weekend!💚💚💚
Hey Julia. We loved the Severn. Was honestly glad to be back on the canal system though. I am so looking forward to full on autumn colours. My favourite season. We do love to visit a pub and a cafe. I am currently near the end of sober October and haven’t been eating cake either. Paul definitely likes his cake. Hope you have a good weekend ❤️
My parents had a boat moored at Tewkesbury and I used to go up/down the Severn on it all the time… it’s a fantastic, beautiful river with loads of lovely towns and has so many happy memories for me… so thoroughly enjoyed watching your last 2 vlogs (even more than usual)! Thanks guys!
That was lovely! The view when you first came into Worcester with the cathedral and the swans on the river and the bells ringing was really something. And then later, such lovely views, with the greenery down to the water's edge, the blue sky and clouds, and all of it reflected in the water. The huge locks really give a sense of the scale of the narrowboats, which are really quite tiny (I worked on much larger boats on the Mississippi when I was younger). Though the river is lovely, I think I prefer the quiet, tiny "homey" nature of the canal network. I hope the three of you have a lovely week.
Worcester was stunning James. The cathedral was very impressive, especially as they let Dexter in. The locks are huge on the rivers. It does make the boat look tiny in comparison. I can only imagine the size of boats you worked on. I am with you, much rather have the canals than the rivers. Hope you have a lovely weekend ❤️ .
Lovely cruise this week guys and Dexter! The Cathedral was just amazing. The architecture is just stunning for the time! So nice that Dexter could join in your explore. We've missed hearing the great selection of music and scenery whilst cruising not that we don't like hearing you guys talking it's just a nice combination when included. I'll bet you guys like having the help along the way especially when either of you are cruising alone. Wishing you a lovely fun safe weekend. Cheers and sending love from your Friends across the pond. John, Dean, Johann and Greta
Aww thanks guys. Loved Worcester, just beautiful and loved we could take Dexter in too. Glad you are enjoying the music we included. Definitely nice having help. I know Paul is always grateful when he is moving on his own. Hope you guys are having a lovely evening and enjoy your weekend. Belly rubs for Greta and Johann. ❤❤ 🐕
Beautiful colours this time of year and you have captured it perfectly. Lovely cruise and good to see Dexter. Thanks for taking us along. Have a great weekend guys.
Nice one lads hope you are all well and good you getting ready for winter it will be interesting to see how you get on with the new boat have a top week lad big up Dexter 🙂🎥🐶✌️
Cheers Lee: all good aboard Morning Star. It will be interesting to see how this boat copes but yeah, winter feels like it isn’t too far behind. Have a great weekend ❤️
Work always gets in the way Dave but Paul did great getting off the river and back onto the canal system. We have been so lucky to meet so many lovely people. Hope you have a great weekend ❤️
Binge watching and enjoying your vlogs now that Bruce and I am getting our 1st boat in a few weeks on the south oxford canal. We've probably missed the best of the weather this year but looking forward to a change of pace in life. Thanks for the inspiration content. David
Thanks guys. Glad you are enjoying the vlogs. How fab. I really hope you enjoy your boat. This is my favourite time to be on the canals to be honest so fingers crossed you get dry weather. Have a lovely weekend ❤️
Lov it do you like both the River and camel which is more expensive and which is easier once again boys a brill video many thanks very nice to see your family xxxx big hugs to dexter❤❤❤
Hey Kim. Both are beautiful for different reasons but I do like being back on the canals as mooring is so much easier. The license covers both canal and river on this section so each costs the same. Have a lovely weekend ❤️
What a beautiful cruise, I love the river Seven and know it very well. Dexter is walking about wonderfully he really amazes me, bless his heart. I am so happy that you had help with all those big wide locks and the narrow locks Paul, having friends around you makes a big difference when you are crewing alone but I did miss Anthony. Where are you going to head for the winter? I really love your vlogs, they are so relaxing as here I am at 5:50 am having been awake since 3:00 am I am in too much pain to lie down, which is so annoying though I am use to the odd hours that my body will allow me to rest in bed now.. You all give me so much pleasure as all my narrowboat friends on here do whom are all truly wonderful have been keeping me company in the early hours of most early mornings or throughout the night. Have a wonderful week both of you and I will greatly look rorwould to the next one.❤ x x x
Hey Janis. I was gutted that I missed the last bit of the cruise. Paul was lucky with the help. Dexter is such a gentle soul and does remarkably well for his age. We are maybe going to the Llangollen for winter. Sorry to hear you are in so much pain. 😢. As a bit of an insomniac there is nothing worse than lack of sleep. Glad you are still enjoying our journey. Have a fab weekend ❤️
How English is that Worchester cathedral bells ringing out over the river and town. Thank you for a lovely reminder of summer it warmed me up. Lots of love ❤ Stephen
It really was quintessentially English. Loved the cathedral but especially loved that they let Dexter in. Aww the weather was definitely better. So cold now and the clocks going back (I hate that bit). Hope you are keeping well. Have a lovely weekend ❤
Really enjoyed the Vlog 👏🏻 Both me & Graham enjoyed your company, it’s a shame Anthony missed the last day on the river. Take care guys 😉 (& Dexter 😁) xx
Thanks for the trip down memory lane, I lived in Edgar Street and did my homework from what was then Worcester college,, in the Cathedral grounds, not great for a sleep on a Sunday as the bells were rather loud. The bridge behind you where you moored up is stunningly beautiful. I must say you were both a bit nervous at the tiller when you took delivery of the boat but look at you both now, rescuing people, turning around in a river and making that narrow tight turn into that lock, no loss on you. It shows what nice kind people you are the way everyone returns that to you.
Glad you enjoyed. What a fab place to do your homework. Just beautiful. The river rescue was scary. Especially when the boat spun round 😬. Do feel more confident now at the tiller than when we first got it. Hope you have a fab weekend ❤️
All good thanks Michele. Loved Worcester. Can’t believe they let Dexter in the cathedral. How fab was that. Hope you guys are good. Has half term finished for you? Have a good weekend ❤️
@NarrowboatLifeUnlocked I know I can't believe they let him in and so glad they did so got to see it. We broke up yesterday so it's been a very lo g 8 week term. We are all good thank you 😊 x
You meet the nicest people on a narrowboat! That should be the marketing phrase for the crt! Another lovely vlog and those locks looked absolutely mahoosive, rather you than me. 🤗☮️
Hey Crichie. We absolutely have met the nicest people. I agree, CRT could take that as a strap line. The river locks were quite intimidating. So glad to be back on the canals. Hope you guys are good. Have a great weekend ❤️
Hey Sheila. Glad you enjoyed. I think Paul missed this by accident but will try and include it next week. Hope you have a fab weekend and sorry for the confusion. ❤️
Thanks David. It really was beautiful. Especially loved the cathedral and the fact they let Dexter in. Gutted I couldn’t do the last bit of the journey. Have a lovely week ❤️
Great video. So enjoyed it. Nice that you got help through all those locks. I was curious: isn't it mandatory to have a life preserver on while on a river? I noticed some on narrowboats did wear them and none on canoes or row boats. Odd. See you met up with David. I just love this guy. He is the very first Narrowboat channel I started to follow about 3 years or so ago. His videos are great. So informative. Dexter was sure hopping up those stairs quickly. Good for him. Take care you two. Travel safe.
Hey Sandi. Thank you. Loved the river Severn. It isn’t mandatory to wear life vests, just recommend. I was gutted I missed David due to work. He was one of the first we watched too and his dry humour makes me laugh. Have a lovely weekend and take care ❤️
We were on the same mooring at Diglis. It was great as they raised up with the river so we felt very safe and secure. Loved seeing what is ahead for us on the Severn when it is safe for us to leave Worcester this time. Thanks for showing us what to expect.
Fabulous video, it looks very exciting on the rivers. A lovely reminder of sunnier days, not sure I agree with Paul about early morning being best part of the day 🤣Dexter as always looks gorgeous.have a lovely week xxx
Thanks Irene. Loved the rivers but definitely a sense of relief once we got back on the canals. Definitely don’t agree with him either. I am most definitely not a morning person 😂. Thanks for Dexter’s birthday treat. That was really kind of you. Hope you have a good week ❤️
Happy Friday evening! 🥰 Lovely trip but you're probably glad to be off the river. It's very pretty but seems difficult. Great to have help while solo handling and it was super to see David. After I found out about narrowboats on "Lewis" I found David's first vlogs. He's one of the grand masters of vlogging. ☺ I'm not religious but I love seeing churches and cathedrals. So much history and, of course, Dexter could go in being very well-behaved. Dexter was doing great on those steps. Lots of energy. 😊 Not long till the big birthday! ❤ I really loved that otter mural too. I hope that the weather has improved after that last storm. We have lovely weather right now but it's the last day. 🙁 Have a wonderful evening and weekend! ❤
Hey Dorothy. Happy Friday to you too. Loved the places on the Severn but absolutely relieved to get into the canal again. Gutted I was in work when David came. He is the king of vlogs. I am the same. Not religious either but do love seeing the architecture. Didn’t expect them to let Dexter in. Can’t believe he will be 16 next week. Weather is better but cold now. Hope you have a lovely weekend ❤
Thanks Mike. I was gutted to have missed the last bit but was also relieved to find we had gotten back onto the canals. Hope you have a good weekend ❤️
Hi Paul, Anthony and Dexter-Dox. What a beautiful location you're at. Loved the chatter/banter at the start of the Vlog. Anthony did not look too impressed at being up at 0800! Loved the swans with the Cathedral in the background, ever so regal. On the River Severn, you passed a narrow-boat that seems to be going faster than 4 mph. On the River is there a speed restriction at all? Anthony, It was cute the way you help Dexter up the steps, bless him, and later on, as Paul said, Dexter had quite a spring in his step(s). Lovely walking around the Cathedral. Oh by the way, did you get the sausage rolls from your friend (you mentioned near the start of the Vlog)? So nice that you can make friends with fellow boaters, and then it must be great that you meet up for coffee (when cruising allows), and how nice that Paul was helped with the amazing River Severn locks. Sorry Anthony had to go to work, that must have been a long drive to get to work? As always I loved the Vlog. Editing, Sound etc, everything was perfect and well produced. Thank you. Take care. Spoolbox.
Hey Spoolbox. Loved the Severn and Worcester was beautiful. Definitely not a morning person me 😂. Loved that Dexter was allowed in the cathedral. We did eventually get sausage rolls 😂. Love the boating community for the friends you make along the way. So special. I was gutted I missed the last bit. No real speed limit on the river as far as I am aware. Glad you enjoyed the vlog and as always, thanks for your lovely comments. Have a great weekend ❤️
Lovely trip on the Severn, and Paul you did well with the trip on your own. Nice views of the church etc, and Dexter full of life for his age. Bet you’re glad to be back on the canals. Enjoy the weekend guys.
Thanks Bill. We loved Worcester. So pretty. Dexter is doing amazing bless him. Always feel relieved when back on the canals. Have a fab weekend. We have got plans for the next few weeks but after that we need to make a plan. ❤
There you go ! Your good deed of rescuing a fellow narrowboat paid off in a place to moor! Karma repays good deeds too❣️ Sometimes it’s good to make resolutions just to break them! I was shovelling snow at 5am this passed week and that is my ticket to sleeping in this weekend! I’m physically tired so it’s nice to cuddle up with a blanket and watch all the beautiful scenery- have a lovely weekend!
Hey Katherine. Aww we definitely couldn’t have gone past and O guess karma did help us with the mooring 😊. I am doing sober October. Still doing well. I don’t blame you for getting to have a blanket day if you have been shovelling snow. Hard work. The lock’s definitely are tiny on the canals compared to the rivers. Hope you have a lovely weekend ❤️

What a rewardingly delightful day, after the challenges of the previous! I know why Dexter had a spring in his step - he could easily go for a walk & a wee in Worcester! That is a lovely town. I never knew it was so pretty! I have only been to the Worcester in Massachusetts, surely its name sake. Nice to have that enjoyable weather, as well - we just had Winter blow in, last night! Currently, 5 C at 11am, going down to -10C on Sunday night (but, it's a "dry" cold 😉)! It was a perfect 18 C, yesterday! I so enjoy your vlogs, thank you!
We absolutely loved Worcester. Couldn’t believe they let Dexter in the cathedral. Didn’t know there is a Worcester in Massachusetts. Been getting cold here too. Glad you enjoyed the vlog. Have a great weekend ❤
Hi guys. Had a week off sick a few weeks ago and binge watched the entire back catalogue. Fabulous vlog, and great to see your adventures on the the Severn. Awesome views and you’ve been great to tag along with.
The imagery you share is just stunning. I agree the further you went along, the more pastoral/bucolic the scenery. Just like an oil painting. Good to see that Dexter was able to get his prayers in for us all. Like you, the narrowboat locks looked like threading a needle compared to the river. How did you ever learn all this? End the day with a cheers. Take care and remember to get up early… oh never mind.
Hey William. The scenery was beautiful. As much as I like rivers I always feel better getting back on the canals. We were made up that they let Dexter into the Cathedral. He would need to say a lot of prayers for me 😂. It is amazing how steering the boat becomes second nature. Hope you have a fab weekend ❤️
A last look at the wide river before the much narrower canal. Both are nice in their differing ways. Lovely to see the cathedral lit up and also Dexter being able to visit it. Worcester looked nice. You dont go many days before friends are around to help, especially nice when your solo cruising Paul. I kind of like it back on the canal net work. Wondered what it was like for you when Storm Babet hit !!Happy cruising and wrap up warm xxx
They are indeed but rivers make me really nervous with their lack of mooring. The cathedral was really impressive but especially as they allowed Dexter in. Loved Worcestershire. The storm wasn’t too bad to be honest. Loads of flooded surrounding roads but the boat was fine. You must have finished your cruising now. Hope you enjoyed. Have a lovely weekend ❤️
@@NarrowboatLifeUnlocked yes back home after a lovely break. The return journey was quite hard work, no one to share the GU locks, sowe did the Buckby 7 flight (very hard work) then Braunston 6 in one day. Ive good muscles now. Enjoy your weekend xxx
It is such a beautiful scenic area where you’ve been mooring, I wonder what all the Swans were meeting for. The Cathedral is so big, I can’t imagine how they can keep it heated these days as the cost of fuels have risen so much. My week has been kind of busier than usual but I’ve really enjoyed having the two kittens during the day while the grandkids have been at school and sports. They are the sweetest little things, there is no way they are 12 weeks old, they are so tiny and we got some kitten milk which they drink quickly whenever they’re fed. I doubt one of them had been weaned or at least not long, she only drank milk the first 4-5 days but is now eating some dry food . I’ve tried to keep from cuddling them so they will bond with the kids but it’s torture😳. I do play with them with toys often , they are so full of energy and such fun to watch them chase and tumble . Glad to hear the boat is performing well, it must have been a worry in the beginning. She is a beautiful boat and so quiet when cruising👍🏼🙋🏼♀️
Hey Dawn. We absolutely loved Worcester. The cathedral was beautiful and it is hard to comprehend the age and that it would have been built by hand. Couldn’t believe they allowed Dexter in. It would definitely cost a small fortune to keep heated. Aww bless the little kittens. I would struggle to not cuddle them too (even though I am allergic to cats 😞). They are so cute and playful at that age. I bet it is great company too. We still have some outstanding issues with the boat but these are hopefully getting resolved in the next few weeks. Have a great weekend and take care ❤️
Hi just watched this and you were on our home turf. We grew up in Stourporr and my husband lived on a boat as a child until moving into one of the old houses right by the basin. We now live in Kidderminster near the canal just before you would gave got to the big Tesco. Shame we didn't see the video back then, we could have come and said hello😊
It was great to travel on the canal around there Tanya. Small world. It would have been lovely to see you too. I know exactly where you mean by the Tesco. ❤️
What a lovely journey. Also a friend of mine is a Canon at Worcester Cathedral and lives in the quirky red house on the riverbank at the right of the cathedral! Was lovely to see as I’ve never visited her there…your video has made me want to rectify that ☺️
Thanks Jen. Worcester Cathedral was beautiful. The house was a lovely. How lucky to live in that. You should definitely go have a nosey. Have a great weekend ❤️
What a lovely vlog, very relaxing (for me at least!). I love the area around Worcester cathedral - i used to go up that way quite regularly when i lived in Birmingham. Seeing the 'lads' walking past the cathedral at river level reminded me of the trouble an old boating friend of mine would have with kids chucking things at him as he passed them by. You ever had problems? I cant remember seeing you talking about it in past vlogs. You certainly do seem to meet good people at least. Hope your week's a good one - im off to Alicante on Wednesday for a bit of sun! 😉💕
Hey Colin. Glad you enjoyed. Worcester was stunning. Can’t believe they let Dexter in the cathedral. We haven’t had much trouble ourselves. We were woken up a few years ago to find someone had undone our ropes and another time when the police got someone out of the canal trying to escape. Oh, love Alicante. Have a fab time. ❤️
What did you think of the staffs and worcs, my favourite but it right on my door step I love the green countryside you can reach right in the heart of industrial Wolverhampton, hope you are both well and Dexter dog as well, we recently made the decision to have our 14 year old Patch put to sleep it's been 3 weeks now and still trying to walk and feed him xxx
Hey June. We loved the Staffs and Worcester. Some beautiful villages along the way. We are good thank you. Sorry to hear about your loss. They are such a big part of your family. Sending hugs. ❤️
Oh, my gosh! My comment was meant for Wes and Amy over at Boat Time UK. Their doggie, Rufus, isn't quite the trooper your boy Dexter is when it comes to thunder. Out of all the UK canal boat channels, I have four favorites I regularly watch. Y'all are one of the four.
You really can’t beat the boating community! You’re gathering so many friends along the way ❤
I can't help but notice you meet the most wonderful people and make friends so easily. Surely all the river people can't be this terrific -- or can they?
We definitely have met some amazing people Diana. The boating community is fabulous. Hope you have a great weekend ❤
Wow, the difference between the huge locks and those tiny narrow ones is amazing! I’m glad you were able to cruise with your friends - definitely safer especially on a river.
The river locks really are huge. So glad to be back on the canals though. Great with friends, definitely safer. Have a fab weekend ❤️
How nice to travel together. I loved the cathedral visit.
Best part of boat life is the people you meet. The cathedral was stunning. Have a great weekend. ❤️
Crazy contrast in lock sizes! Love the Severn and Worcester Cathedral, especially for the welcome to dogs! Hope you are enjoying the weekend ❤
It really was a massive contrast Cherry. Loved the Severn and Worcester cathedral and especially as they let Dexter in. Have a lovely weekend ❤️
Thanks guys yes I’m still watching your videos I know I don’t say very much but keep up the great video’s cheers 😊
Cheers Billy. Much appreciated. Glad you still enjoy the vlogs. Have a great weekend ❤️
Stunning!
Thanks Jeff. Glad you enjoyed ❤️
Dashed home from work at nine, poured that glass of wine and sailed in the Severn with you. I love your vlogs. ❤
Thanks Marion. Sadly so cannot join you as I am doing sober October. 😞 Not long now until the end. Have a lovely weekend and take care ❤️
Hi Anthony and Paul. That looked much more relaxed a trip. Worcester seemed to be a nice city to visit. It definitely looked like a good call for Paul to cruise with friends. Some of those locks might have been tricky as a single boater. Have a great weekend. Take care. Nick

Stevie
Thanks Stevie. As much as I loved the rivers it was a relief to get back on the canals. Glad you enjoyed. Have a great weekend ❤️
10:40 love seeing David enjoying a night out with you guy's.
I was gutted I was in work 😢.
Another beautiful vlog guys. The English countryside is amazing once you get away from the M6. Just lovely. Safe travels and have a great week ❤.
Thanks Alan. I quite like going under the motorways, it makes the contrast of our life even more fab. Have a great weekend ❤️
Another lovely vlog. ❤
Thanks Guys. Hope you and Ralph had a nice birthday ❤️
Well this was an improvement on last weeks trip, this was lovely and so peaceful. I’ve decided I like the electric engine, I loved the sound of the engine but it’s so peaceful. Great trip guys and love to the three of you. 💕
So less stressful Pauline. We loved that we can hear the birds although still love the sound of an old engine. Have a great weekend ❤️

Aww I always miss out Jay. I did love being on the rivers but the lack of mooring made me feel a bit uneasy. Hope you have a good weekend ❤
Hi all, that was absolutely beautiful, I glad you enjoyed Worcester 😊 it did look like quiet a tiring day going to Stourport, hope you are enjoying your weekend 🍁☀️🍁 xx
Worcester was stunning Lorna. I was gutted I missed it. Looking forward to autumn colours over the next few weeks. Have a great weekend ❤️
What beautiful sights and helpful friends.
We are so lucky Julia. Such a fabulous community. Have a wonderful weekend ❤️
To go through the locks in Scotland you need to have the boat tied front and back to stop it moving around. Another great vlog guys 😊
That is what the instructions were on some of the Avon locks too David. Would love to do the Scottish canals. Hope you have a good weakened ❤️
That was such a beautiful passage! Thank you for sharing. Loved the timelapse through the locks too!
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed. We loved the river Severn but couldn’t wait to get back on the canals. Have a good weekend ❤️

I am currently near the end of sober October and haven’t been eating cake either. Paul definitely likes his cake. Hope you have a good weekend ❤️
Love your videos
Thank you Jonathan. Have a lovely weekend ❤️
💜💙💚
❤️ x
No wonder you love the boat life Guys. Stunning scenery on the River Seven. Have a great weekend ❤️
Thanks Steve. What’s not to love. The amazing people we get to meet is the icing on the cake. Have a lovely weekend ❤️
Loved Tewksbury Adam. You must have felt very lucky. So beautiful. Glad you enjoyed the vlogs. Hope you are having a good week ❤️
Beautiful scenery
Thanks Bella. Have a good weekend ❤️
As always I enjoy the vlog. Beautiful scenery, thank you both for taking us with you around England and it beautiful canals.
Thanks Beverley. Glad you enjoyed the scenery. Such a beautiful river. Loved Worcester. Thank you for coming along with us. Have a great weekend ❤
Nah then, ay up me ducks.
'Safety in numbers.' I always tell myself that when I'm doing a solo wild camp in woodland, lol
Have a great weekend 🙂👍
Definitely safety in numbers. Not sure I would be up for a solo wild camp in a woods 😬.
Hope you have a lovely weekend ❤
What a beautiful cruise in today's video. Thank you for sharing your beautiful glimpses into your country. Enjoy your weekend!
Thank you Sheryl. We loved the Severn and especially Worcester. Hope you have a fab weekend ❤
Beautiful colours this time of year and you have captured it perfectly. Lovely cruise and good to see Dexter. Thanks for taking us along. Have a great weekend guys.
Hey Mark. We love autumn. Our favourite season. Dexter is slowing bless him. Glad you enjoyed. Have a fab weekend too. ❤️
A great shame Anthony had to miss out on the last bit of the river. Another nice video and you made some more friends along the way.
Work always gets in the way Dave but Paul did great getting off the river and back onto the canal system. We have been so lucky to meet so many lovely people. Hope you have a great weekend ❤️
Hope you both also have a great weekend ❤️
Binge watching and enjoying your vlogs now that Bruce and I am getting our 1st boat in a few weeks on the south oxford canal. We've probably missed the best of the weather this year but looking forward to a change of pace in life. Thanks for the inspiration content. David
Thanks guys. Glad you are enjoying the vlogs. How fab. I really hope you enjoy your boat. This is my favourite time to be on the canals to be honest so fingers crossed you get dry weather. Have a lovely weekend ❤️
A great video Paul and Anthony, lovely scenery so different from the roads, much prettier views. Have great week 😊
Thanks Sandy. Definitely prettier views from the canals. Love this time of year too. Have a good weekend ❤️
@@anthonysmith-storey9247 Why is putting the clocks back still a thing? It just doesn't make sense in the modern world.❤
@@brodie2711 it doesn’t. No idea why we still do it. 🙄 ❤️
Really enjoyed the Vlog 👏🏻 Both me & Graham enjoyed your company, it’s a shame Anthony missed the last day on the river. Take care guys 😉 (& Dexter 😁) xx
Aww we loved your company too Bev. I always miss out with work 😢. Hope you guys are sorted ready for winter. Have a lovely weekend ❤
Good evening, how are you? What beautiful place ❤ and that cathedral it gorgeous. Love to you all x
The views on that river are stunning. Love the colour of the leaves becoming autumnal like a painting.
Thanks Mel: the river Severn was beautiful. Absolutely love autumn. Hope you have a good weekend ❤
Wonderful to see all the beauty 💥💥I am amazed at the skill needed to handle a narrow boat .So interesting💕
The canals are surprisingly beautiful Deborah given they were originally designed as transport for industry. ❤️
spotted the Edward Elgar, she's the largest holiday boat to ply the inland waterways. her home mooring is Gloucester. have a great week.
Such an impressive and formidable boat Anne. She is a beauty. Have a lovely weekend ❤️
Hey! Great video today - absolutely stunning!! Did I miss the video in which you were going to show Anthony's new bike?
Hey Sheila. Glad you enjoyed. I think Paul missed this by accident but will try and include it next week. Hope you have a fab weekend and sorry for the confusion. ❤️
loved this one, as always
Thanks Al. Hope you have a good weekend ❤
Fab video guys. Really enjoyed you showing around the cave houses - very interesting 😊
Thanks Karen. Loved the cave houses. Similar ones in Andalusia which we have seen. I could easily live in one of those. Hope you have a lovely week ❤️
Great title. Great video. You make the river look so inviting. :-)
So beautiful. You will love it ❤️ Hope you guys are keeping well x
Anthony has a Magnificent Seven
Thank you. I think 😂. Have a great weekend ❤️
@NarrowboatLifeUnlocked It's been great to have you both tour around my local area. Watching the banks from the water. Be safe lads.
@@anthonysmith-storey9247 I would be sad a missing David too. Perhaps in some future time it will be possible to meet him.
Have a great weekend. ❤
What a beautiful cruise that was!
Thanks Mike. I was gutted to have missed the last bit but was also relieved to find we had gotten back onto the canals. Hope you have a good weekend ❤️
Gosh the river was like a mirror in places, beautiful 😊 A much more relaxing cruise than last weeks 😅 Have a lovely weekend boys 🥰
It really was Lesley. The Severn was beautiful. Definitely less stressful this week 😂. Have a fab weekend and take care ❤️
@@anthonysmith-storey9247 Ok Anthony, Just let us know when.x
There you go ! Your good deed of rescuing a fellow narrowboat paid off in a place to moor! Karma repays good deeds too❣️
Sometimes it’s good to make resolutions just to break them! I was shovelling snow at 5am this passed week and that is my ticket to sleeping in this weekend! I’m physically tired so it’s nice to cuddle up with a blanket and watch all the beautiful scenery- have a lovely weekend!
The canal locks seem tiny after the river ones, don’t they? I was ducking to help get through that last one😄

Beautiful church
Good videos guy’s, very professional and informative, but have to say dexter is the top billing, lovely dog you have there,
Cheers Lee. Glad you enjoy the vlogs. Dexter is a little star bless him. Have a lovely weekend ❤
Hi guys. Had a week off sick a few weeks ago and binge watched the entire back catalogue. Fabulous vlog, and great to see your adventures on the the Severn. Awesome views and you’ve been great to tag along with.
Thanks Richard. Glad you are enjoying all the previous vlogs too. Hope you aren’t too ill and making a speedy recovery. Take care ❤️
Hi guys, it's a lovely video as always.
Just have to get up earlier. You make me laugh.😂😂❤
Lovely to you both and Dexter xxx
Aww not kidding Mark, we are not known for our early starts 😂. Glad you enjoyed. Hope you guys are good ❤
A last look at the wide river before the much narrower canal.
Great show again guys . 😊
Thanks Marcy. Glad you enjoyed. Have a lovely week ❤️
That is a lot of swans ,
It was John. Beautiful river too. 😊
Thank you 😊
Cheers Jules ❤️
It’s a shame Anthony. Issued out on that gorgeous scenery!
I was gutted Catherine. Especially missing the visit with David too. Have a lovely weekend ❤️

You’ll never meet a better behaved dog then Dexter.
Couldn’t agree with you more. He is such a sweet, gentle soul. Have a lovely weekend ❤
Does Rufus have a thunder shirt?
Hey. No, Dexter is usually pretty chilled to be honest. Not sure if this was meant for us though 😊. Have a great weekend Jeannie ❤️
No worries ❤️
Have seen you with caroline and pete there narrow boat
We loved travelling with them ❤️
Are there designated mooring spots on a river?
Yeah. Pretty much Jason. Very limited. Definitely felt more relieved to be back on the canals. Have a great weekend ❤
I know I am being that guy but that was clearly a latte not a cappuccino 😊
Lol. Well spotted David. That is what she said but no, definitely not a cappuccino. Hope you have a fab weekend ❤️
How do I get you to do a painting of my dog?
Hi Chris. Send a message via Paul’s website www.paulsart.uk Many thanks. 😊
