    I really like the construction of the four seasons unit. Very lightweight as well. Our Dodge Journey SUV could pull that very easily. Thanks guys. Cheers!!!

      Glad you like this one, we did too. Just so you know though they are not a four season unit as the tanks are not heated and dual pane windows are not an option. Nonetheless, it is still an nice rig, you just want to plan the weather you will be in accordingly. Thanks for watching.

    These rPods are a great idea, but their build quality and short-cut materials render many of them as crap, in very short time. I just did the screw replacement of around 225 1" rusty exterior screws, replacing them with beefier, 1.5" screws. How much would it cost FR to use the better quality screws at the factory. Between the number of screws and the ones with stripped heads, it took the better part of four days. This is a very common preventative and fixit measure. The floor sections over the water tanks have no support, so after a few years, they get squishy. The floor isn't ruined, but, after tearing up the cheesy vinyl, it's going to take the epoxy and dowel method, to firm up the floor. Even checking all of the windows, hatches and other caulked areas, on a scheduled basis, something's eventually going to leak. By the time the damage is detected, there's often wall or floor rot, requiring thousands of dollars of repair work. Even if the owner chooses to do the repairs, count on hundreds of dollars for materials, and tools, not to mention the weeks or months of anxiety. For anyone looking at a used rPod, or even a new one, invest in a moisture meter and thoroughly go through the unit, to determine if there is any water leakage. Sorry to be such a downer, but I'm in the middle of spending months and hundreds of dollars in materials to repair my rPod, just so that I can sell it to someone, without any hidden problems. Good luck!

    Is there a reason for the fully-enclosed underbelly? I imagine that it's more difficult to do any repairs underneath with that enclosure in the way...

      Good point and for sure something to be considered. The. benefits of the fully enclosed underbelly is that it helps to protect and often heat your tanks, wiring and other plumbing. Some manufactures use overlapped sections of underbelly enclosure so that if you need to access to it you can just remove the panels. Others have access points. We feel it is for sure worth the trouble of access to have it fully enclosed. Hope that helps. thanks for watching

    Seems well constructed, how would you compare it to similar trailers?

    • @DoesSizeMatter
      @DoesSizeMatter  3 роки тому +1

      The age old question. Hmmm it always comes down to pros and cons for us. Some of the other smaller trailers we have done have some better build features but then aren't as spacious or are lacking in another in a different build feature. Price always plays into things and this one falls right where we think it should for price. Thanks for watching.

    Hey young lady...did you ever get to look at the R Pod 192? 🤔

    • @DoesSizeMatter

      We are still looking for the 192 but we do have a surprise coming up in the next few weeks for you. I'm hoping on March 12. Stay tuned.

    Curious why FR did not also replace the inner layer of luan with the Azdel? Just sayin'

    • @DoesSizeMatter
      @DoesSizeMatter  3 роки тому +1

      Some companies use no azdel, some use 1 layer and others 2. They all have their reasons but possibly it is a cost factor??? In our research we don't find manufacturers justifying their choices. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

      @@DoesSizeMatter I would gladly have paid a few hundred dollars more, for better quality materials (see my post mention of the very common rusty screw replacement), than deal with the nightmare of fixing cheaper construction - just to save a buck.
