I have never seen a R-Pod so thank you for the tour. Was that your Thor letting a man pick him up? He has come a long way. Great to see him so happy. Thanks Randi!

I have a Rpod 179 too and I really like it and the space. It’s easy for me to tow with
my Nissan Pathfinder. Space is bigger with a slide out, but with slide outs you can have issues too. I always suggest a good extended warranty. I would like something that I could do some colder weather camping.

Can you please tell me what gas mileage you get towing with your Pathfinder? I also drive a Pathfinder and am considering buying one of these. Thx

Why wouldn’t you want your unit to by rock solid by using a sway bar? When your unit starts to sway, you only have 3 seconds to get it under control or it flips. I almost lost my unit to a swaying camper. It was a miracle I saved it! Don’t think it won’t happen to you! You might not need a complete system, at least get a sway bar!

I have sway bars and wouldn’t travel without them.

Swaying is scary when you feel it!

Mine started to sway during my maiden voyage! I about crapped my pants! I was going up a straight, 2 lane, hill when a semi was going down the hill. After he passed, I glanced in my side mirror and could see the side of my camper! Then I didn’t see my camper until it swayed back… I panicked and couldn’t remember what I had read, so I stepped on the gas enough to straighten it up. Stepping on the gas is not the thing to do! Putting on the trailer brake is best. That’s why I said it was a miracle! I could have flipped my new Buick Enclave and my brand new TAB 400! And worse, I could have been killed! Don’t listen to You Tube commenters, who brag that they don’t have a sway bar. I put on a sway bar and switched vehicles to a Yukon! Now, I’m golden!

I can't imagine how terrifying that moment must have been for you. I'm so glad to hear everything turned out OK and great reminder to use the trailer brake!

We have a RPod 195, have been towing all over the country for 6 years… have a Hensley hitch (cub) which “eliminates “ all sway. Well worth the extra expense
