I don't know why they didn't actually mention it in the videos but the description actually mentions hydro-leather. They have some conditioning items too.
Leather Cleaner Wipes are a perfect on-the-go companion which you can use any time you spill something or dirty up your leather. For maintenance, if you use Leather Cleaner Wipes once a week or every other week after a deep clean, you'll likely never have to deep clean for a very long time!
They can be effective, but due to their abrasive nature (it's how they work!) we would still opt to go with the pH balanced Leather Cleaner, soft Horse Hair Bristle Brush and Microfiber Towel when it comes to deep cleaning sensitive surfaces like leather.
Great video! I'd like to ask about the Nonsense cleaner: To what ratio should I dilute it to so it's appropriate for leather cleaning (modern car leather - Toyota) ?
The brush was able to get a pretty deep clean. You could use a steam cleaner, but for newbie safety and to prevent warping the leather on the wheel we suggest the Leather Cleaner and Brush method.
What if my steering wheel has the heated luxury feature and is perforated? Can I still use this method of cleaning with the brush? Great videos as always by the way.
Absolutely! Just make sure not to spray the steering wheel directly. Spraying into your microfiber towel or brush will help you clean the wheel and minimize getting product stuck inside the perforations.
@ChemicalGuys My wife over sprayed inside my BMW with the ceramic products and I have spots all over from the over spray. How can I remove the overspray on the leather and plastic.
Pretty good results! Be careful not to scrub the non leather chrome pieces on the steering wheel, it will scratch them. 2020 Silverado. It got rid of the oily, slick, and gloss black look. Still doesn't look brand new like I hoped though. I scrubbed it 3x. Should I have done more rounds or scrubbed even harder?
We didn't use the wipe because we wanted to achieve a deeper clean that is why we used Leather Cleaner + the brush. The wipes definitely would work on the steering wheel, you just might have to put in a bit more elbow grease.
@@ChemicalGuys makes sense! I will say, your leather cleaner is fantastic on my motorbike leathers, takes the dead flies straight off and leaves a nice matt finish
Great suggestion! The owner of this vehicle wanted it as matte/non-slick as possible, but you could definitely add Leather Conditioner on it afterward.
Does Your Steering Wheel Need a Deep Clean?

I like the other stuff you guys have the cleaner and conditioner lol... It actually smells like the liner of a swimming pool. Smells great.
So what product do you use as a protector for the steering wheel once you clean it with leather cleaner spray? If any?
I don't know why they didn't actually mention it in the videos but the description actually mentions hydro-leather. They have some conditioning items too.
How often do you recommend using leather wipes? I have a brand new 2024 vehicle and I want to maintain the interior as best as I can

I've seen lots of folks use a Magic Eraser. Your thoughts?

@@ChemicalGuys That's what I was wondering, appreciate the response!
I use these products on my leather and the results are smooth as silk and not slippery.
Glad you love your *brand new* leather! 😉 send us a photo of your before and after to our instagram or tiktok! @chemicalguys

Hey! We recommend diluting it to a 3:1 ratio.

As always. Awesome video!

If it was one of their alcohol cleaners. You’re screwed
It’s the chemical guys ceramic.
What did she spray it on leather?@@slimdaddyy

thats the downfall of leather safe products.
Great result. However, I'm always concerned about the chemicals on the steering afterwards.
It's like Nonsense, so it doesn't really leave anything behind. You might actually want to add UV protectant on afterwards.
Notice that you didn’t use the wipe on the shiny half of the wheel 🙄

Glad you love it! Thanks for being a part of the Chemical Guys family! ❤️
That is literally why he said it is better to maintain it. Not have to grind it down to bare metal...... Oh that was a metaphor. I hope you understand
I’ve used this before and it completely ruined my Supra’s leather. Leather Honey > This 😅.
Love other chemical guy’s products though.
Mines is dirty enough where i have to take a paint scraper to it first.
😮
Nooice!!!!
Thanks for watching!
Dont forget the conditioner!!!!
