A youtuber named Lon’qudor is currently working on a Koth 2fort server, I recommend keeping an eye out for it.
The first 2fort showcased is my favorite map. It makes spy much less painful.
It was heavily mentioned during last time so thought including it here. Would probably very interesting to have a serious match on it someday

The only other map variant that I know is higher tower

2fort 2003 is a fan made map made by team gaben who were fixing up tf2 invasion at the time
I'm trying to remember a variant of 2Fort I played on a community server one time.... It was a desert one.... But, it's been legit YEARS since I saw it.
There's also a Halloween 2Fort I played too. I THINK in Lazy Purple's friendly servers? Had stained glass windows and other neat details.
I know the 1st map you've played, it's called 2Fort Egpypt and it's really nice map.
For the other one, I am not entirely sure but it's either 2fort Event beta 12, ctf_2fort_spooky or Spectral Stronghold | 2Fort Event. Those are at least the halloween versions I found on workshop
Community map variants in TF2 have always seemed like a strange case to me.
It's not unusual to have multiple 2fort map variants
TF2C 4fort is significantly better then the TF2 version
I haven't really tried out TF2C so what makes it better, if you don't mind me asking?
my personal favourite 2fort variant is 2bine
I hate turbine and 2fort's has not provided me with excitemebt and most of the map is nothing to write home about BUT the mid where you essentially have the titular turbines adding to geometry of the map and the containers allowing a path out of and across the water? Kino.
I think adding Turbine into 2Fort is a bad idea already, but got to respect the dedication
@@trash-bot8k8000 you'd think so, and tlyea most of the map is bad, but again - the mid is a geniuine improvement ov3r both
also forgot to mention that it comes with turbine's extra healyh packs whoch on 2fort is a much needed addition
the 2fort improved you showed off is actually a much older version, there are i think 3 or 4 servers running the newer versions of it

The best 2Fort is 2Fort Invasion IMO
I just can't get enough of the Invasion theme, and I hate how it's not in the CTF pool despite clearly being a CTF map
I wish community servers made it popular
but Improved 2Fort's cool as hell
It's a shame, as those bombs let's you easily get to enemy bases and that should be reason enough to play on it

Fortress Obscura has an 8fort, its absolutely ridiculous looking.
I don't even know how you're supposed to play on that, if all of those 8 forts have intels

Why not also check out other CTF map variants? Like since turbine (imo is kinda good) is to to many people a bad map, there’s a lot of “improved” versions and variants made for the meme like turbine abandoned, turbine asylum, turbine flooded.. you could make a whole series exploring map variants that aren’t just 2fort even if not funny
I don't really care for Turbine but been thinking about checking out Doublecross, as it's just a lovely map in general
