Your god didn't make Sammy. His parents made Sammy and from there Sammy became Sammy. He put in the hard work, maximized his talents and became a legend through his own determination being who he chose to be. Giving any credit to a god of any kind is a disservice to the hard work Sammy Davis Jr. put into his craft. Using your shoot from the hip logic.... If your god has to show off through other people by using their talents instead of his own...if he has any talents, then your god is incapable of developing his own skills himself, hence he has to steal the talents of those clearly better than him... That's rather pathetic
He could do anything. The uncle loved Dean Martin and the rat pack. Me to. BUT I am A..Elvis fan and we do have talks 😊. But I think the old music is brilliant 👏 👌
I honestly can't think of a better all-around entertainer than Sammy - singer, dancer, actor, comedian, impressionist... He really did it all, and did it brilliantly!
He got a lot of recognition and respect. I can remember seeing him on talk shows, TV specials, and Award Shows. He was always handing out compliments to the point one night on The Tonight Show Johnny Carson pulled the reins on him. He received nominates for a Golden Globe Award and two Emmy Awards for his television performances. He was the recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors twice, once in 1987 and in 2001. He recieved the Spingarn Medal by the NAACP. He recieved a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award posthumously. I don't know how often someone gets a Kennedy award twice. Do you know? I think he was well rated and there was nothing criminal related to him except his friend Frank Sinatra. 😉
He's not underrated. I just explained how he wasn't in post above. This person saying he is underrated was obviously not that well acquainted with his body of work and the accolades he received from them.
@@donnyposey5179 That's right. Anyone who states that Sammy was underrated doesn't know what they're talking about. He was & is one of the greatest entertainers of the century. Can't think of anyone in the entertainment world that can hold a candle to Sammy.
My vote for the greatest entertainer of the 20th century! From when I was, literally, maybe three or four years old, and remember seeing this incredible man on TV, and saw what he could do! Dance, tap, sing, twirl pistols, do impressions, act, riff and ad lib...ALL at world class levels - my God, what a gift to the stage! I loved him from the time I was a kid in the 1960s and still do. Thank you for posting these (thankfully we have them) videos - maybe new fans will see what multi- faceted talent really looks like; the one and only Sammy Davis, Jr. 🥰
James Carney? He didn't sing but he did everything else Sammy did, plus he was an awesome actor, & Sammy didn't act. Not well anyway. Cagneys dancing was really better too.
Astounding how much talent in so many areas could be packed into one man. Frank may have been the leader of the Rat Pack, but Sammy was far and away the most talented.
Very sad that that so many of today’s generations haven’t even heard of Sammy nor the many people that he impersonated in this video. There were so many other great entertainers who we all knew when we were growing up - I wish there were a way to bring them to the forefront to exhibit what natural talent (without electronic enhancement, lewd dancing, and questionable lyrics) won the hearts of their audience.
He was an American Treasure, and he Broke down many Door's for so many that came after, Thank you Mr..Davis for all that your talents gave the World , and forgive those who did show you the RESPECT you and so many richely Deserved.....
Sammy Davis is wonderful - soo freakin’ talented! I was on the floor laughing and totally amazed at his impersonations (especially Nat King Cole)! What a beautiful man. What a brilliant gig! We love you, Mr.. Davis ✨🌷🌱
A truly missed major talent, Sammy had a fabulous voice, in ways more powerful than Frank's. He was underrated, but his comedic talent was red hot given when this was recorded. You are still in our hearts and minds and we love you and miss you. ❤
One of the finest gentlemen, performer gentlemen I have ever had the gentlemen I have ever had the opportunity to see. If this world could be anything like this man then we would be much, much better as a human race.

I think he was well rated and there was nothing criminal related to him except his friend Frank Sinatra. 😉 Hollywood and the music industry are filled with nepotism and true friends that helped their true friends. It's incredible when someone from the outside breaks through. Sammy Davis Jr. was a door opener and most importantly, fun and entertaining.
I am now learning that Sammy was the greatest entertainer of all time. Davis could damn near play any instrument at the pro level. Sammy could sing and imitate some of the greats to perfection. Davis could not only tap dance but also do almost any type of dance. Sammy was a bomb-ass actor and comedian. Name an entertainer that could top him.
Dec 2024-Without a doubt Sammy was the greatest entertainer in the world. i went to interview him in Lake Tahoe. he did three shows in one night and (much to the chagrin of his bandleader) did three totally different shows and free wheeled each one. Next day he flew me in his private back to California. No. He wasnt the pilot!!! -ivor Davis
SO sad I could'nt enjoy this marvellous man, incredible voice, great enterteinment. Thanks COVID-19 I had tome to watch Viña del Mar, where Paul Anka sings with him IM NOT ANYONE!! I could'nt believe such a beautiful song! He was fantastic! 🙏💕
Sammy's gold and diamond cigarette case and lighter are amazing. His ballet with them and the cigarette is a work of art, but that's what wound up killing him.
In addition to everything else mentioned (singing, dancing, acting, comedy), Sammy Davis Jr was a phenomenal trick shooter and gun twirler, known as a master of the “quick draw.” I’m not generally a fan of guns, but watching films of him handling one (or several) is mesmerizing.

The greatest entertainer of his generation ( among alot of very talented people) but sammy was the all round best performer . Singing dancing comedy acting he could do it all! Rip sammy davis jr 😢
GOD was really showing off when HE made Mr. Sammy Davis Jr.
He was a proud Satan worshipper and a member of the church of Satan. He rejected God sadly.
Sammy was a class act 💕
What a perfect sentiment!!!

Sammy Davis, Jr. was a true American treasure.
Yes you said it all 🙂👍
How about salvation for all singers
@@mrscpjones16 he could play multiple musical instruments also
He was seriously talented. What an entertainer he was.

Thats what a true entertainer is supposed to be!! Sammy really had a tremendous talent! That Generation style won't be seen again unfortunately.

Church of Satan Anton LeVay would vote for him
My sentiments exactly! He was the ultimate performer.
Totally agree 100%. Don't forget YES I CAN, his incredible auto biography. I read it in high school in 1967. One of the greats
He was one of a kind there will never be a another one👍👍👍👍👍👍
He continues to be the best Overall entertainer ...EVER!!
I defy you to name ANYONE as talented as this man. I watch him and listen to him in complete awe.

*Cagney;...->:"Carney"!!
Maybe eddie or jamie. Cause those guys are great with impersonations, singing, acting and instrumental talent
@Money_era
In my opinions, neither has any equal amount of talent that Sammy had!!!!
@@AndrewHeller-jn7dx what all could sammy do
Sammy is the very definition of Entertainer.
WHAT A COMPLETE PERFORMER THIS MAN REALLY WAS.!
Astounding how much talent in so many areas could be packed into one man. Frank may have been the leader of the Rat Pack, but Sammy was far and away the most talented.
Merle Haggard said that about Glen Campbell, and I agree, but Campbell couldn’t dance.
Not only is he the most talented singer, dancer and actor. His speaking voice to his audience is worth the price of admission alone.
Sammy could charm the birds from the trees. An all rounder in entertainment.

He owed several millions in tax and his assets are frozen. This is why he has vertically disappeared. So sad.
“What Kind of Fool Am I”. So glad I was part of his generation.
I'm 15 and sammy davis inspired me to be a humble class clown in my school 🤣🤣
Sammy Davis Jr was, overall THE MOST talented person in entertainment history.
I can’t tell you how happy it made me to see this!!! God bless his memory. He was simply the best.
Sammy was the best of the best.
RIP Sammy and thank you for everything. X
Bravissimo uomo di spettacolo, grazie per il video 😊😊😂😂
Sammy Davis ...showman fantastique!
Sammy Davis Junior, what a consummate professional entertainer, multi talented, incredible voice. I love this man .
I miss guys like Sammy, guys who could really sing and make you feel
When stars had real talent. Sammy was the greatest !
That huge talent packed into so small a frame - he is astounding!
Absolutely 👍 💯. He's in the top three in my book. He's brilliant 👏 👌 😊
The original song and dance man :)
When I was a young RAF guy in Libya in the early 60's I had his live album recorded at the Coconut Grove. Everybody was always borrowing it.
Mister Entertainment - definitely the greatest talent the US ever had.
One of the best singers ever😇😇😇🖤🖤🖤

What the hell am I watching? This is pure gold. This makes today look so bad.
