I'm visualizing a second book in the near future! I have some single neighbors that this would be a great item to share with them. Cutting the recipe in half for 1-2 servings should work out well! I love the Red Lobster Cheddar biscuits, this a good substitute! Keep thriving!
I make this! I'm originally from PA Dutch Country and we call this chicken and dumplings (I know, chicken and dumplings to y'all is squares of tender puffy dough cooked in the broth but that's chicken pot pie where I come from. We could have a whole discussion about different names for the same thing). Instead of going in the oven the pot gets covered and the biscuits (dumplings) steam on top of the stove for 20 minutes. Of course, they don't get brown and toasty like yours, but they are fluffy, comforting delicious!
Yes yes yes!!! Love it! I actually thought these would be divine as steamed dumplings 😍 I'm happy to hear that, indeed, they are 😊 Thanks for checking in💚
This looks so yummy!!! Those biscuits!!! I made your vegetable soup the other night for dinner, I did the tomato base version and it was so good. Had leftovers of it last night! Thank you for another fabulous video and so excited to hear about a possible print version of your cookbook!
YUM! This would definitely take the chill off on a cold day. It looks soooooo tasty and I also love how you "gilded the lily" with that butter and the seasonings. 😍 Comfort food for sure. Did anybody lick their plates? Lol. Looking forward to making this soon and a half-size portion should work great for me. Otherwise, I'll just want to stay home and eat it all, haha. Thank you, thank you!!! 😋👍💖
@@freezedriedfoodie - I am hopeful that you will consider a few minor changes to your basic recipes. First and foremost, FMF (fresh milled flour). While a bit tricky and also requires additional hardware ($$$), the nutritional value may well be through the roof. I think that for many folks, the flavor may also be well worth the effort and expense. And second, I am a strong believer that Pink Peppercorns may well be the extra gourmet tip that excels a recipe from good to great. I could be wrong but worth looking in to. YMMV
@@freezedriedfoodie - it’s easy and affordable. Well, sort of depending on which mill one buys. I have a WonderMill. Also, the wheat berries can be cooked rather than milled so they are dual purpose. However, there is a learning curve because FMF does not behave the same way as all purpose when baking bread. But it is definitely far more nutritious. Sue Becker has several videos explaining why and how.
Apologies, but one more challenge. FMF - Fresh Milled Flour. Have you tried (not likely) fresh milled whole grain flour? Probably not (yet). If one were to take your basic recipe and create it with an FMF for max nutrition and "can" it in a vacuum sealed jar would we come out with both a better tasting and more nutritious version of what you have presented here? Just a thought.

How sweet of you! Yeah, definitely cut it in half, customize it to fit your needs and preferences. Love the versatility!💚

@@rojerww Fresh milled flour is something I have never had, but I've always wanted to try!

I would like to challenge you to try Pink Peppercorns. To me, they have a more citrusy flavor. Quite a little burst of flavor but not intrusive.
Awesome!

That sounds amazing. You should totally do it!
