From the makers of the Double Pumper: "Here is an Electric Porsche" It is like the world have turned upside down, or some sort of an alternative universe. Presented by "The Far Side, by Gary Larson"

Part of me wants to convert my 1964 El Camino, to the ev drive train, and the other part just wants to buy a BMW i4 m50.

Wait another 5 years before the aftermarket has some good kits available, and most important a decent battery for a reasonable price! Ford came out with that 300+hp electric motor that only weights as much as a transmission but no battery pack available yet!

    Why?

Torque is king, no doubt. But during the remaining laps of a long race and the energy starts to become depleted, can you pit for a quick splash and go of amperage 🤔.

I very large capacity Super capacitor would be Ideal for racing, although it would make pit stops pretty frequent, until the energy density gets increased or some giant change in chemistry like solid state batteries comes along. Only a few laps maybe, but you could quick charge in seconds, and they wouldn't have heat built up and could have massive efficiency in energy recoup on very hard brake regen. They can charge and discharge at like a million times faster than normal batteries.
