Its a WRONG WRONG WRONG way to eat Coto Makassar! You have to squeeze the lime into the soup & after that throw away the pulp of the lime because when the skin comes in contact with hot water it will give off a bitter taste. after that add soy sauce and chili according to your taste, and the last one, eat it with KETUPAT!

That Coto Makassar doesn't look very appetising tbh. The soup was too watery while the authentic coto's soup is more thick. But to be fair, it is really difficult to get authentic coto outside of South Sulawesi, even within South Sulawesi, there are more and more Coto restaurants that don't get the soup right.

So proud that foreigners have try the Makassar's cuisine. They give a good score for Jalangkote 🤣next time you guys need to try Pisang Ijo and Apang Paranggi. Both of these cuisines are the dessert from South Sulawesi
