I think there should be at least one Indonesian who try out these foods first to make sure they’re authentic. I know not everyone likes kolak, including myself, I don’t like it because its too sweet. But seeing their reaction especially the guy that threw up made it seem like the kolak has gone bad or was made the wrong way or something. Kolak is just banana with coconut milk and brown sugar. It shouldn’t make people throw up like that
Don't u know we don't eat kolang-kaling like that,,bcoz kolang-kaling is served as a mixture of Ko Kolak or Sop Buah...should you serve Sop buah, Es Pisang ijo,or Es Bubur kacang ijo..n for Kolak it made from some banana,cassava,kolang kaling or Mutiara n some ingredients else... that's Indonesian desserts
Even as Indonesian i can say, there's something wrong with that kolak.... it's more like kolak+casava porridge, not the real kolak
There is no MILK in Kolak, that is COCONUT MILK.
Come on, coconut milk is not milk..
You should give them the kolak with brown sugar, not with the white sugar. I do not like that kind of kolak too

I think something is terrible with the kolak. kolak is basically sweet coconut milk with banana. it's better when its cold from refrigerator or when its dipping hot.
So there's someone who doesn't enjoy eating kolak? Hm interesting
The best kolak is the brown kolak you usually found when Ramadhan
Kalau mw merepresentasikan makanan indo, beli lah dari tempat yg paling rekomended. Kalo seperti ini akan membuat penilaian org lain soal makanan indo secara keseluruhan ya bgitu. Malah jatuh bruh 😂.
Kolak tidak hanya berisi pisang, tapi bisa dicampur dengan singkong, ubi, labu, bahakan kolang kaling.
Laurenceee, you should have given them flavoured kolang kaliiiing (I think it's called palm seeds)...😅 Good kolang kaling shouldn't be tasteless, and it's also boiled (or blanched several times) until the texture is quite tender but still chewy.
The real recipe,kolak must give some brown sugar,coconut milk and pandan leaves.
