Hi All 👋 Thanks so much for watching, we hope we've left you very hungry 😃Food Tours are some of our most viewed videos 📺 So if you are a foodie like us (actually we're wannabe foodies), then we've got you covered with food from across the globe in our FOOD TOUR PLAYLIST: ua-cam.com/play/PLxeGcNWPqYa1il3hjvOTzwZxgypNShHLk.html&si=t_OeoCgklgmFx29J Thanks for watching and we hope you enjoy more of us stuffing our faces 🤣
Before you start eating, you should always ask what dish to eat and with what. For example, in this case, how to eat this kind of Adjarian Hachapuri, you should first mix everything together, i.e. egg, butter and cheese, then tear off a piece of baked dough and dip the piece inside the Hachapuri. That's the beauty of the flavor. And in this case, the young bloggers cut it in the middle and everything spilled out, so they could not fully enjoy the flavor. Secondly, according to their traditions Khachapuri is drunk with the traditional Georgian lemonade Lagidze. This is the same way Americans drink burgers with Coca-Cola. In Georgia, it is not customary to compare Khachapuri with Pizza, as they have absolutely nothing in common with each other, as the whole difficulty of baking Georgian varieties of Khachapuri, such as Imeruli, Lazuri, Megruli, Svanuri, etc., is that the cheese and oil inside does not leak out during baking. And for Pizza they prepare a round mold of dough and immediately put everything on top, so there is no difficulty in baking. But, of course, everyone's taste is different and everyone chooses the food of their choice.
Hi! Thanks for sharing all this detailed information! ☺️ It’s great to learn the proper way to enjoy Adjarian khachapuri and the traditional way to pair it with Lagidze lemonade. We appreciate the tips and will definitely keep this in mind for next time. Thanks so much again! 😊
Thanks for reaching out and saying hello 👋 Georgia is an amazing country, you will love it when you visit. And we miss Thailand so much and talk about it often. It is one of those places that, whenever we visit, it always feels like home 🇹🇭💛
Hey if you guys are reading this thank you so much for visiting Georgia i am from Georgia and i watched video fully and i am so happy about how much you liked our food ❤
That's nothing,i saw worst things in Romania by american youtubers....trying cow tripe soup wich comes with a separate bowl of garlic sauce made with vinegar, spices, sour cream, etc wich is supposed to mix it to the soup according to each person's taste.... they eat it with the spoon, complaining with tears in their eyes that it's very spicy😄
Thanks for letting us know! We’ll definitely mix the egg yolk with the melted cheese next time and make sure to pull out the string from the churchkhela. Appreciate the tips! 😊
few facts: 1. If Churckhela is homemade, its will way much better. 1.2. churchkhela mustnot be sweet (too much) 1.3. it can be stored from 6month to 1 year. 2. Lobio is from Imereti and its no second place where you can find good lobio. 3. acharuli's taste depends if egg is from farm or not, and same about cheese. it must be from Achara. 3.2. YOU SHOULD MIX EGG/CHEESE/BUTTER before ate
Happy you enjoyed the dishes and I hope you get to try many more great ones. LIKED the video! The stuff inside the tomato salad was Jonjoli, pickled sprouts which are from the local Jonjoli Bushes. Never heard of the Khachapuri index, learned something new (thanks for that). You cant draw a clear boarder, so the reason Georgia feels like Europe is because it is. We play at the Euros in football and we're culturally closer to Europe than Asia.
Thank you!! And thanks for sharing the info! Jonjoli sounds unique, and it’s interesting to learn more about Georgia’s European ties. Glad you enjoyed the video! 😊
I appreciate that you are interested in Georgian cuisine. ❤It’s very nice of you.I will give you one advice, you should eat mchadi with beans or with cheese and tomato salad. Mchadi with sulguni ( it’s a name of the cheese) with tomatoes salad is my favorite. Good luck guys
13:50 you were supposed to mix egg yolk in with the cheese im actually saddened that i've seen so many tourists come here order this dish to try and our waiters cant even give a heads up and speak 2 words of how you are supposed to eat it XD
We didn’t know we were supposed to mix the egg yolk with the cheese. Sorry about that! We’ll definitely do it right next time. Thanks for letting us know! 😊🙏
Sorry about that! It was our first time with khachapuri, and we didn’t realize the proper way to handle it. We’ll definitely do it right next time. Thanks for understanding! 😊🙏
If you ever come to Toronto, Canada there is a Georgian restaurant and an Egyptian restaurant in my neighbourhood (both family run and both have Michelin recognition). We also have tons of Asian great restaurants (including Korean). Feel free to reach out if you ever plan to come here:).
I have also been to Sakhtvelo and ate in bad places, falling into tourist traps. You had to eat donuts in Fasanauri, Adjarian in Batumi (you ate really terrible Adjarian), and you had to ask a local for a good sakhinkle, and you would be amazed. ❤❤❤❤You really lost a lot, good khachapuri and khinkali are real Georgia, and Fasanauri khinkali is a real legend 😊😊😊
The food is sooo good 👍 We were in Tbilisi for less than a week, but it was enough for us to want to go back. The countryside, which we will explore more next time, is stunning 🇬🇪
😢 "feels like we're in Europe but we're in Asia ..." - WRONG!!! - You are in Europe 🎉 Homo erectus georgicus, which lived roughly 1.8 million years ago in Georgia, is the earliest hominid to be discovered in Europe 🎉 The earliest appearance of anatomically modern people in Europe has been dated to 45,000 BC, referred to as the Early European modern humans 🎉 So don't deliver WRONG information to the world please - because In fact, we are scientifically recognized as the FIRST Europeans + Georgia is the second country in the world where Christianity was adopted for the first time, which began in the 1st century 🎉 Good for you - for exploring the FIRST Christian country of Europe and met the FIRST Europeans 🎉 it would be nice if you read a bit of history where you were... ❤
I’m here for you to help with Pronunciation, i know when you read Georgian food names in English it looks weird and feels hard to pronounce them BUT whenever you see KH in any dish, you have to read as Spanish J or russian X so for example: If you read Jinkali (in Spanish) rather than Khinkali, that would make more sense :) …well i hope… 😀 Khachapuri = Jachapuri Kharcho = Jarcho etc 5:11
