I come from the United family and I also currently work for United Airlines however after watching this I can say 100% that Delta takes the cake for this challenge
Having flown all of the airlines over the years, I can attest that the Delta crew always win out for service over the other airlines. Sure, there are good and bad people in any industry and in any company, but overall the Delta team really elevate the experience above the other airlines.
United hard product is excellent. The food and service from flight attendants is always abysmal. Every time I'm in United business I get attitude from the flight attendants -- "put on your seatbelt!" and "We serve drinks with food only!" and "Unplug your phone before pushback!" Although they're within their right to convey this information, it's the WAY they convey it that's always wrong. It's always adversarial and reminds me of the way American police like to do their jobs -- Us vs. Them mentality on United, always.
@@mar_man813 just reading that, “put on your seatbelt” made me think, “Wow, so rude.” Hmmmm. Thanks for this comment. I wouldn’t pay extra for that kind of poor service.

I appreciate that you guys just show what's important: lounges, seat comfort/functions, amenity kits, and meals. No long videos of take off/landing, walking down the airport, etc. You keep your videos a reasonable length. I particularly like the call button challenge.
I lived in China for ten years. I returned to the USA 4 times each year. I always flew Delta business class. I loved it. The service was always phenomenal!!
Delta crew are the happiest (in general), so it's no surprise that the service would be so friendly. As an American, Delta is my favorite of the three for US travel, but for transcontinental travel some Delta planes in Business are MUCH older than even seen here. American's product is much more consistently good. Tip: if you book on Delta in business for transatlantic and are using miles, pounds or dollars make sure it's a newer airplane!!
14:04, one thing that I did really like about United was the fact that the crew would be very respectful of personal space. Usually on my flights with them, they don't loom over you and quite constantly will squat down to make you more comfortable.
I fly American all the time and also enjoy the ice-cream sundae; such a treat! Plus getting to use the OneWorld partner lounges is a true perk! Love you guys doing these comparisons and I might try the champagne challenge on my next flight.

That said, seeing a couple of you get so excited about ice cream sundaes made me chuckle. I mean… It’s ice cream. (Not you Liam. Everything you do and say is adorable! 😘)

@@jaysonbelyea8981 the FA brought over a tray and the sundae was on it. UA started the trend and the sad thing is the vanilla ice cream UA use is the cheapest crap they can source. The staff is where it’s at. Most of the hard products offered are similar. It’s the professionals in the sky who can make or break the experience and they need to know that and be reminded of that constantly.
Soon as they mentioned the champagne challenge I knew delta was gonna win by far. You’re barely situated and they appear with a tray of drinks, it kinda catches you off guard the first time lol
Haha for sure. It’s pretty much instant when you get on a delta flight. A couple weeks ago, I was flying in comfort plus and couldn’t get to my seat because the flight attendant was already giving out champagne to business.
Great comparison of the 3! Super small opportunity to make it even better would have been to give maybe 10 or 15 seconds to the Delta "Someone Somewhere" somewhat sustainable amenity kit background, and the QR code where you can get background on the bag designer. But overall a really good comparison of the 3!
I experienced UA Polaris on their SFO-ICN route. The Polaris lounge at SFO should be one of the top in all business lounges in the world for their catering options and quality. The seat hardware was amazing but the inflight catering was somehow disappointing. And with my AA flagship business class experience on their LAX-HND and ZRH-PHI, I would say the food in the lounge and onboard was quite impressive but the crew service was so cold. And the amenity kits they offered were disappointing both before and after the pandemic though I consider the down sizing the budget among the aviation industry. Waiting for the Delta One so that I could compare the three giants airlines all!
I have pot loads of award miles with AA, UA and DL. However, since I travel internationally with my wife in business from the U.S. and no longer fly for business, I redeem them judiciously. For example, on my preferred dates in early 2023 AA wants 76,000 each way, UA 60,000 and DL 120,000. I live near Delta's home in Atlanta, but for half the redemption amount I'll make a connection on UA or AA rather than a non-stop. In late December, 2021 I flew DFW-LHR-ATH with AA/BA for 57.5K. Delta wanted 320,000 one way. Sorry Delta. You lost me.
Nothing new for DL. They trashed the Skymiles program years ago now. But it most be working for them since they have the highest margins in the business, so they must be selling most of the seats rather than giving away with miles.
This doesn’t help you now but keep an eye on Delta for deals. Delta did have a sale on Delta One awards to Europe about a month or so ago. They had 148,000 Delta One RT to lots of European cities. I managed to snag a Delta One RT to LHR for 148,000 miles. I’ve been watching for a long time to use up the remainder of my SkyMiles but it is always 400,000 even 700,000 one time I looked.

Thanks for a fantastic video. AA, UA, and DL all definitely have their unique strong points in business class. I think the Collins Super Diamond seats used by AA are fantstic, and they in fact are available with a privacy door to make them even better. Food and beverage looked very appealing on all three carriers, but I will say that Delta One stood out as particularly strong in that categroy. Lastly, an advantage of the Delta One seats is that they are all forward facing as opposed to angled, but I still suspect that the AA (Super Diamond) is the best product in terms of seat width and comfort. I will have to try all of them to see for myself!
Finally, I've been waiting for this comparison in years. Thanks a lot. I've always wondered if any of them is worth a try. I've always been told to stick to European carriers. Honestly, AA in this review even seems much better than many BA flights I've taken on this route.

I recently returned from a round trip from Chicago to Tel Aviv on United Polaris First Class and it exceeded expectations. The food on my flight was pretty good but what made it outstanding was the comfortable and private flat bed, the cute and thoughtful toiletry kit and mostly the Saks Fifth Ave. duvet and extra blanket, 2 pillows and slippers. I slept 7.5 whole hours!!! Paying for restful sleep was worth every penny. Highly recommend United Polaris First Class. Will fly again.
people sleep on American airlines way too much, I think they have an incredible business class. With great food and privacy (maybe step up the privacy but still) and with a new aa business class seat coming next year, I'm excited to see what American had in store.
I just experienced their Flagship First transcon SFO-JFK, and I still can't believe I slept almost three hours straight without waking up. The seats are just so comfy!!!
Their new cabins looks really, really good. In fact if I saw it I would originally think it’s a European Carrier. Hoping they upgrade the food and service too
A lot of people underestimate American Airline’s product, but their international product hits a bit differently. It’s definitely up there if you ask me. 😌 Go AA ✊! ☝️
Having flown United a few times over the last couple of months, yeah the food can be....Interesting.... Either really love or totally hate. All in all though, having flown all three, you will do better than flying on BA.
You guys are crazy....fun! Delta for me!! thanks for this video. I was trying to decide which airline business class to try on a May trip to Amsterdam.
Back in the 90s I used to take my toddler son to the roof of the terminal to watch "Daddy fly off" on his business trips. Ah the days before "security issues"!
Ben would've had more privacy and a better window view if he'd gotten an odd row; because of the design the even rows are turned in and the odd rows are straight for Polaris
Because of the caps on Heathrow passengers numbers right now, United cancelled my original flight and moved me to one an hour earlier. It meant my carefully selected odd row window seat was lost and I was stuck with an aisle-window seat in the completely full cabin.
@@bensmithson1773 …and that’s the answer we needed to read! How ghastly awful! There is one config 787-8 that defies this logic, row 6A or 6L is both a fwd facing and bulkhead. I despise the window/no window too!
I am surprised at how little is being put the amenity kits now. Flew American premium economy in 2019 and there was more stuff in the kit. In 2018 they were providing slippers too.
As a 30yr DL Captain, I can say that we are the ears and eyes of the airline. We see things nobody else does. My guess is most airline cabin service very similar but the big difference between airlines is what you don’t see. For example, when I see a passenger frantically waving at us from the terminal window at departure time and the cabin door is still open, I go back to the boarding door and mention this to the agent. They are under EXTREME pressure to depart ON TIME, but I accept the delay to get them on. Sure, I’ll get a call from the Chief Pilot, and they say that “on time” is what passengers want, but is that really true? We hate getting these calls about waiting for connecting luggage, fixing something small, or enough catering to feed everyone, but I don’t mind. I know there are sometimes more important things comparing business lounges. So next time you fly, please consider what happens up front and how we affect your travel experience. A small tweet to management might be nice.
I agree with you 100%. I have friends who are retired pilots and I always ask who do prefer to fly with now. This includes my Father who was a WW2 bomber pilot and the answer is 109% Delta. Why? Because they think Delta runs the tightest, most rigorous crew training, maintenance, ground operations in the US. Sure there are always ways to improve the hard product, customer service and catering with all domestic US carriers but for me arriving safely is most important.
Delta is head and shoulders above the others for the product. AA is aligned with BA, which actually gives it a compelling reason to use. United by far has the cheapest and easiest to upgrade with points. I think United is the sweetspot for me, but I just wish they would let Amex users transfer points...
I love your comparison videos - so entertaining and definitely helpful for future trips. Thanks to Liam for adding "pluffy" to my vocab. Can't wait for your next video! ✈🌎🥰
Really great video and I'm looking forward to seeing more like this one, especially with other carriers. I was starting to get worried about the lack of talking about pillows until I saw the end!
i love the service on Delta ONE. Flown it over 100 times and only had 2 bad flights out of 100+. The FAs are tremendous on these routes. I will say that Delta switched food vendors at the start of COVID -- due to costs. The new vendor's food is just atrocious, I think. I'm glad you enjoyed it but that food is just rubbish compared to the caterer before COVID. i've had to send my main back 3 times out of 8 flights in ONE class during COVID. Just disastrous. One time chicken was just boiled chicken with no salt or flavors. Another time beef that tasted like shoe leather and asparagus that was just green overcooked mush. I wish you had the opportunity to try their catering before COVID. And yes, that thai soup is PHENOMENAL. Thankfully, they still use the same soups as pre-COVID. Also, Delta still has not returned to giving you an app. It used to be salad and app, then soup, then main, then ice cream/dessert cart. And the app was almost always great. Now it's just smaller salad delivered with soup, then main (which has shrunk and gotten FAR worse in quality), then some sort of dessert. It used to be a small pre-packaged cup of melted ice cream at start and mid-ways through COVID, but now i think it's a real dessert. The sundae cart was the best. Miss it. :-( Flew Virgin Atlantic to London back in June 2022 and the food was SUBSTANTIALLY better than what Delta is currently serving. It wasn't as good as Delta's pre-COVID food but heads and shoulders above the gruel they're currently serving. Service on Virgin was also exquisite. Delta needs to up their catering game.
AA had a pretty solid Business product! Try AA Flagship First next… I don’t think DL & UA have a true first class although both of them have great Business products.
I’m only 1:37 in and I think it was a bad idea to have Ben review United. Ben’s approach as a Risk Mitigation Specialist and Project Manager means he’s always looking for areas of inefficiency and wants strategies to streamline things. Liam just loves luxury. Nicky is also very analytical because of his background but he’s also playful so he take it all in his stride. Ben is going to be more critical than Nicky and Liam, and United is going to come out looking like Ryanair in this scenario.

As a train guy i do love the train vs plane challenges and always routing for the trains to win lol. Subbed to Ya channel and look forward to watching more vids :)
Great video, but a bit of a vanilla review in some ways. The TV screen to start with - both United and Delta have gate to gate viewing, where that AA config needs the screen stowed for take-off and landing, which everyone who has ever missed the end of a film because of the 30 minute landing process knows is a pain. The food - one of the team was clearly clocked by the Delta team (and rightly so!) and given an absolute feast, comprising of various main courses (entres?) - you have to wonder how this impacte the overall service, as any airline worth their salt will already know the who is who of their passengers. Not saying the other two aren't as well known, but it did seem that the Points Guy got more of a reaction than the Points Guys did. The Lounge access part - One World access does give you the chance to browse lounges. Heathrow has the Quantas Lounge, with a great Gin Bar and the spicy squid dish, along with the Cathay Lounge with the famous Dan Dan noodles, and the BA Lounge if you want to set the bar low and move upwards. The other two have a tie in with Virgin Lounge, which does get a good write-up, but for me, the AA ground experience is better. Nothing on the arrival experience? I guess all of them have some sort of arrival lounge with shower facilities etc? AA in Heathrow certainly does, and it was better than the BA T5 arrival lounge when I tried it last. Great video, but could have been a bit more critical.

Hoping they upgrade the food and service too
Not my experience w American. Prefer Delta for me
Transcon and long-haul American are great, but the rest of that airline’s service is meh
Until recently, business class on those were what we now call pemium economy or extra space economy while first were same with middle seat removed
I just flew Polaris on a 777-300ER from FRA-SFO. Had the same reaction to whatever that cauliflower and grape concoction they served. Lol
Brilliant as always, would adding a final segment on the arrival process add any value to the video?
Please do a Race To Newquay video!! Plane vs GWR train!!!!
Bravo to all of you! Nicky you have such charisma and is enjoyable to watch you have fun on your flights!
These guys are supposed to be the experts and yet they seem to choose the worst seat lmao
@@angus_m it’s like SeatGuru doesn’t exist in “their” world. 🤣🤣🤣
@@bensmithson1773 ah shame
I’d love to see this in a US domestic first class comparison.
Delta > United > AA
@@Blank00American isn’t even that bad. United is very terrible
@@maxsaviation9512 as far as I can tell united have improved dramatically in the last year or two, especially on their 737 MAX's
@@maxsaviation9512 Supposedly they've improved since they had that violent bashing the shit out of their own customers incident...
Delta is best by far! For example Delta has TVs on every seat with AA doesn’t!
I am surprised at how little is being put the amenity kits now. Flew American premium economy in 2019 and there was more stuff in the kit. In 2018 they were providing slippers too.
Video idea: Airfrance A350-900 in all 3 classes. Good video btw
Great video. Got my first flight with American coming up. Domestic economy. Can’t wait!! Thanks for the reviews guys!
I find it funny that the Liam (Delta) bed test, he did it on the ground 🤣🤣🤣
Delta is head and shoulders above the others for the product. AA is aligned with BA, which actually gives it a compelling reason to use. United by far has the cheapest and easiest to upgrade with points. I think United is the sweetspot for me, but I just wish they would let Amex users transfer points...
I think UA bedding is better than the other 2.....
Business cabin on A330 neo is much better.Great work Guys
Totally agree on United bedding.
I love your comparison videos - so entertaining and definitely helpful for future trips. Thanks to Liam for adding "pluffy" to my vocab.
Can't wait for your next video! ✈🌎🥰
Love the video, thanks. I've only flown United before. I'll probably try Delta and American sometime in the future.
Flight Attendant: “You can have all of them if you like.”
Me: (sweeps all of all the food with one arm to the plate)
Love your reviews, I couldn’t stop looking at the AA seat coming apart lol
Great job comparing the three. Once again, another great review lads.
subscribed and liked after you brought up the champagne challenge, love it!!! lol
Thanks for this great info! Working on booking a trip and comparing the best way to travel. This helped a lot! Thanks!
okay but that united wash bag as a suit case is brilliant hahahah
Nice video!! Do the same with european, middle eastern, south asian and asian airlines plz. And maybe even categorize in 5 star, 4 star airlines :3
Lol I saw the points guy logo on my last delta flight. Pretty cool!!
Awesome video guys. Would be interesting to see points and cash spent for all 3 😊
5:45 Nice demo of AA’s legroom, Liam! 😊
do this again with flights to LA, london and across europe!!!
Really great video and I'm looking forward to seeing more like this one, especially with other carriers.
I was starting to get worried about the lack of talking about pillows until I saw the end!
Love love love the battles! Keep them coming guys!
Funniest part is when niki struggles with his headphones meanwhile others enjoy with their headphones on lol
What a great video. You guys clarified all of the important things that interest most travelers including myself.
i love the service on Delta ONE.
Now you need to do economy class! And start doing lounge comparisons.
AA had a pretty solid Business product! Try AA Flagship First next… I don’t think DL & UA have a true first class although both of them have great Business products.
neither will A/A for much longer....
Those av inputs make me think who bringing a DVD player, vcr etc on board so they are needed.
That Delta flight attendant was a 10 out of 10, funny and gave you two main courses 😂
That's his job.
Would’ve been a much more pleasant experience if you used the United Polaris Lounge instead of the United Club
When they build one at Heathrow I'll be first in line!
I agree if there was a Polaris Lounge - AC, LH, & SQ offer business pax access, with the latter 2 offering a more exclusive lounge for FC.
Great video as always. Time to do Asian airline comparison please! SQ - MH - GA - TG ... Or JL - CI - KE - CX ....
as a person who always fly economy, I think delta offers the best eco seat out of every airline,
I’m only 1:37 in and I think it was a bad idea to have Ben review United.
That Delta One Meal, holy crap. Thats a massive amount of food
American carriers in my order
1-DL
2-AA-- could be 3 dépends on crew s mood
3-UA ..depends on crew willingness so could be 2
AAs Sunday is my fav as well.
Y’all are hilarious. I’m so glad I found this channel!
not long discovered ya channel, love ya series of vids as someone who as never flown b4 and prop never get the chance too, its nice to see the difference between airlines and what they offer.
UNITED all the way! Great video gents. Seat 5A is the best seat in business class on the UNITED 767. Super private, great view of the engines.
finally! I have been waiting for latest videos from you guys.
I love delta but I flew untied Newark to london on business class and I have become a fan, great experience
4:10 that’s so cool omg
YEA THEY ARE BACK WITH ANOTHER ONE!!!!!!
May I suggest you guys try Alaska southwest and jetblue next.
I worked for AA for 29 years, and thanks for the compliments. Bravo, to Delta... I would vote for them also.....
