- We recreated our first ever all-class comparison and put British Airways' 777-200 to the test! We flew from London to Washington DC in first class, business class (club suite), premium economy and economy.
Ben flew in the front in First, Liam sat in the Club Suite, Nicky tried out premium economy and Maren drew the short straw in economy.

Business class looks like a new cabin along with premium economy and economy, where as first class looks like an old cabin

Truth be told, I believe the clubworld is miles better than the First, having experienced both severally for years. 😄. Clubworld my choice above any other business class product, even first class since year 2000
And ba's business class it not even that good compared to Qatar or Emirates

Is it super weird that the first class seat is LESS private than the business class seat? That's a huge miss!
It’s not though, the first cabin only has 8 seats compared to over 36 in club. The first seat is way more private that CS

@@poppyland74 it’s not though, I fly CS all the time and first even without the door is more private than CS. There’s only 8 people in first compared with 32+ in CS so the cabin is busier etc

I find it super weird that BA close off you you comments on many initial threads.
A decent company should be proud to open up to comments, put a couple of staff on it even. ... or just put staff on telephones to let folk know where to start luggage tracking.
I have yet to find a video of Maren enjoying either business or first-class. It would be nice to see how she enjoys the pampering and space of the larger and more comfortable surroundings. Have I just missed it? Love your channel.

Yeah, put the tallest person in economy, and the most perfectionistic in first class.
To be honest Business class seemed way more enticing than First class, privacy , to food , to presentation all seemed better

I think Maren would be happy sitting on a 5 gallon bucket in the lavatory - she is always a great addition to these comparisons. Interesting to see the minimal difference between First and Business - not sure that First is worth the additional costs. Great job as always!
Great to see this report back again after 3 years . Always love the content you guys put out especially a review like this. The Concorde lounge looks amazing hopefully one day i will get to try it out. Ba crew are always incredibly friendly and the service is great can’t go wrong

I'm due to fly BA London Heathrow to Miami next week on the 777, am definitely going to look into upgrading to business class, looks as good, if not better than first.

I just tried BA's new club world seats just three days ago. They were really comfy, especially when our flight was delayed for four hours then postponed for a day due to engine issues and the crew timing out.

Concorde room is lovely, the addition of sleep pods is a major bonus. The rest of the lounges do the job but aren't worth extending your layover for IMHO. Still, if you get the chance, go for it!

Agreed, I always check if my flight is from B or C gates. The lounge is sooo much better! and much quieter.

Would love for you guys to try the Qantas LHR - PER in business, premium economy and economy on the Dreamliner. See how you guys would go for 18 hours especially whoever is in economy.
I did the lhr - Perth in business it was ok. The seat isn’t very comfy and the Qantas staff are a bit cold. Singapore was way better for that flight

Having flown in the new club suite, I am so surprised that the first suite has not been updated in such a long time. I know that BA are doing away with 1st on a lot of aircraft now, with the inevitability that this will probably only remain on a few routes. They need to differentiate and keep a top class 1st suite, but it is honestly not worth the upgraded price to business with the new suite. Great job guys as ever. Xx
And no one brought up the fact that the business class salad and dessert is SMALLER than the premium economy one?

I've watched a number of different channels that review various airlines business classes/classes in general and this seems to be one of the few channels praising them, yes BA isn't the on the level of Qatar or Emirates presentation wise and to be honest other reviewers look down on BA almost snob like but I recently flew BA to Tampa from Gatwick and had no issues in economy, almost the exact same experience as shown in this video. I did note that this flight had the old style IFE screen in economy/premium economy, whereas my flight to Tampa has the new tablets installed making it look much more sleek.

Thanks for the great reviews! I would love ask that three of you review and share an economy row together! There is always an open seat next to you when anyone is in economy and that is not realistic for those of us that fly all the time.
The BA business lounges at Heathrow and Gatwick are so disappointing! Especially the food. We are now gold members now so we will have to see what the lounge is like at Gatwick November 23rd

I was in the B Gates lounge at Heathrow on the 19th of September as per your recommendation! It was much quieter, did not disappoint!
BA premium economy based on all the videos I've seen looks to be very good. Probably in the top 5. They can definitely step it up a little bit by allowing access to their lounges even if its a paid option.
People complain that lounges get cramped so I doubt it. Credit card companies have their own lounges tho

I’ll tell you what. Cannot see the difference between business and first. I actually think business is even better (have flown them both myself and First is just not worth the money compared to Business). Amazing video as always! 😊

BA first really needs a hard product overhaul, the new club suites have made their business class great, but first still lags behind. The First soft product is great on BA though, so it really is just the hard product which needs changing

If you head to the B lounge without knowing your gate, you can often be left with a 15-minute walk through the underbelly of T5 back to the A gates. The tram cannot take you back to A without taking another stroll through security.

I always use The Concorde Lounge when I fly from Heathrow! It's very relaxing :)
I flew to Mexico earlier this year from London with BA business class, and the Tikka masala was one of the best meals I’ve ever had 😂. So damn good

I love your critiques of the different fancy/expensive lounges at your age 😂 Just enjoy that you get to be there at all! I’m 50 and psyched about flying Premium Economy! Most of us could only ever hope to be able to enjoy Business or First class seating and lounges.

Business is better than first. The sliding door beat it out.
BA business class lounges are well below par when you compare to other airlines, They really are so drab and are often so busy you can’t get a seat. Will definitely try the other lounge when I’m next at Heathrow, I hope BA step up and sort out the lounges they are falling behind again.
They are good in certain places, but the main hub of T5 needs more lounges, it's always packed, Galleries First lounge feels more like a paid lounge, ive struggled to even get a seat the last few trips which for anyone is shocking let alone a frequent gold member! BA are way behind still with everything, new club suite is still rare on most flights which is really poor considering they still charge the same for the old product! They could be world leading but are way behind the quality, food and service of Qatar!
The lounge at B gates def best to go to!
Wish Ben would give a thorough review of the seat and amenity kit.

they only do stuff in uk/europe/asia and flights to and from the uk i think, there’s a us version of the same channel just called “The Points Guy” that does US stuff I think
flew BA first on the a380 pre-pandemic. what an amazing experience! this video doesn't show it but the first class seat is at least 25% larger than the business class pod. also, the full tea experience is just next level!
25% larger than the new club suite? Would you say First (old product) was worth it over the new club suite? I am booked on a club suite but can upgrade to first (old product as in this video) for $788. Not sure which to go for. This is on a 777-200
@@YouProductions1000 depends - I'm an NFL lineman sized guy so every bit of extra space I can get I'll take. I don't drink so that really doesn't mean anything for me but some people love the champagne/ wine selection.
When I did it it was only 10k more miles to book than a biz ticket so I did. Would I pay $788 just for the pomp of the tea service? Eh, probably not, but it was a cool once in a lifetime experience.
Also I flew on the a380 which is larger than the 777 by a good margin so that may have factored into it as well - you could do cartwheels at the front of that cabin!
@@jimsturt Ah interesting, yeah the A380 is quite a bit bigger. I also don't drink, so that would be wasted on me. You do get the nicer airport experience (separate First wing, Concorde room, etc.), and since i'm traveling with a companion, buddy dining in the First seat (ottoman) is nice. This would also be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but I could really go either way. Thanks for the reply!

I like business more than first class…they are very similar but not in price wise! Just spotted the wash bag that business one made of leather, much better than the first. Tbh, compare with other airline, BA need to do more work on the first class! It just equivalent to VA upper class which VA is lot cheaper. Thanks for the video btw! You guys are amazing.

So excited to see this video and the positive reviews, since I will be travelling BA Business Class from YVY to LHR and then Premium Econ back to YVR in November. First overseas flight since the pandemic hit and I can't wait!
What a stark difference to the flights from LHR to JFK in Premium with American Airlines last Thursday September 29th, back on Sunday October 2nd. Poor recline, cramped, little food and dreadful, dismissive, very rude service from a rather dishevelled looking crew. I regretted I was not on BA which is far superior in Premium Economy. It was my first time flying American, never again.
The original is what made me fall in love with this channel!

From recent experience I can say BA premium economy isn't as good as it was five years ago.
Specifically on 787's they force the windows dark (on day flights) and try and treat it like a night flight with less service. (Based on flights I've taken from India to London departing at dawn.) Five years ago they constantly checked you had everything you needed and if you wanted anything else. On the last two trips they've utterly failed to respond to the call bell at all.
They used to give you a business class main meal too. Either they stopped doing that, or the business meals have gone down hill.
Having said that, I'm looking forward to getting silver status by the end of the year so I can use the lounges.
One thing about T5. I always go down the extra level and take the walkway/travelators between 5A and 5B/C. It's much more peaceful.
Noticed how the IFE is the old Thales system. At least it isn't Rockwell Collins with that small square TV

New York is your best bet, there’s regular availability in first between LHR - JFK. I tried First for the first time this May using points. Great experience 🥂

My friend had some miles on AVIOS.
If you have AVIOS you're quoted a higher price for flights.
If you open 2 computers (one was my Kindle) and tick AVIOS on one for the same flight (oirs from Gatwick to Cyprus) my friends with AVIOS was £250 more for the same flight.
It's a scam.
