Just completed my most recent Air France long haul flight, Business Class. Again, great experience, comfort, service, food. Only negative a slight confusion at boarding but no big deal. There’s often negative comments about CDG Airport but I like it, and for me at least, it’s very easy to navigate when I change flights for the 2nd leg of my journey.
I was upgraded to La Premiere on a flight from Buenos Aires to Paris, and i can safely say that that was the best flying experience i've ever had, period.
Ok but spanish airlines (Iberia and Air Europa) much better. Companies that have had the fewest accidents in history and best food, friendly treatment, and best value for money 😘

Stop it!! That was beautiful to watch but I'm so envious! I want your jobs! Business Class tbf looked better than a lot of '1st class' offerings - all in all, Air France seem to have a very decent premium offering. The leg room on the business class seat was exceptional - the foot space is the biggest complaint from business class users on most airlines - this really looks fantastic. Nice one!

Ive flown both. I love AF. First class is insane but tbh business, especially in their new cabin, is an elevated business class experience for sure. If only they also gave out those KLM little houses ;) But I love AFKLM.
Flew AF 777 Business a few times. These cabins were modern for their day, but today their glory days are behind. Supposedly white leather behind the seats is gray, tables may not be horizontal. Catering - frankly hit and miss. Sometimes mind-blowing, sometimes usual J meal.

It is great to know that some freaks like me in this world admire the airlines from the customer side and not only from the aircraft side. Thank you for making these videos.
What wines were available in the lounge or on the flight? As someone who works in fine dining, I'm constantly curious what these premium seats give you access to!
nice seats but you need to do klm again in all three classes because last time it was old business class and there is a new premium economy product called premium comfort please try it like if you want that to

so nice and yummy to see that roast chicken on the cart, instead of the usual truffle pasta. don't get me wrong, the pasta looks amazing, but omg the chicken looks special, and it's served with such occasion. such a civilised experience in La Première, and it's lovely to see a different food option. the more food the merrier!
Just flew Kuwait Airways First Class, bed was good, but that was it. What a horror service and food compare to this! This looks like a proper First Class!
Thanks for the great review as always! I personally love AF business class, the quality of both the food and the service is way above BA and I won't even mention LH or whatever's left of this airline. BA attendants are rarely friendly and usually distant, maybe it's a way to hide their lack of confidence (or knowledge about most basic etiquette), who knows I've always found the interaction with BA crew really awkward. AF and Virgin offer (in different ways) a vastly more enjoyable experience. If only Virgin could match AF's cuisine... That said, as much as I love AF, it's worth pointing out that this suite is only available on the their business class first rows, others have a smaller footwell, though it's still a great product. Also I know it's a very tiny detail, but I've been served the first tray with plastic tops still on the dishes (like in this video), removing them would look so much better, or is it a legacy rule from the Covid era? I also wish AF had a day flight from JFK to CDG instead of this antiquated B767 code-share that Delta is flying in the morning (the same very old model that has the slides deploy in flight), with old seats and crews that belong to the same league as the BA crew (less uptight, with more attitude, though equally clueless about etiquette). A morning jet-lag-busting schedule and the onboard AF experience would make it the best way to cross the pound Eastward. But hey AF can't have it all. As for La Premiere, I cannot comment as I've never flown it but it seems amazing (and much more comfortable than these limited-recline armchairs next to a narrow bed offered by other airlines). Thanks again, looking forward to more reviews!
great review as always - having usually flow Emirates and Qatar, and 2 weeks ago flew AF from Johannesburg via Paris to Frankfurt - I really missed the mattress on top of the seat, and also, the meal service took forever compared with the afore mentioned airlines - so, feel almost as of they robbed me of an hours sleep - first world problems. Other issue I had, despite a Business ticket, wasnt allowed to acces the lounge in Paris....they claimed, my Business ticket was a cheap one - that's a relative term, and seriously, if you buy a Business ticket and get to enjoy their service in the air, they should offer it on the ground too - never had this issue with Emirates/Qatar
Well, this definitely beats my experience with Air France in 1999! My husband and I were flying from Houston to Ireland for our honeymoon. We happened to fly in during the Storm of the Century. We had to land in Lille due to the flooding at CDG. 6 hours sitting on the runway with a very angry Air France crew. 🤣 We were yelled at for going to the bathroom. Good times, good times good times! I still have the Air France condom that was in our "We are sorry that you arrived at your destination 6 hours late and can't find your luggage" kit!

"La première" is an elliptic formulation for "La première classe", so basically it means "the first class"
But things are for more "subtle"
"La première classe" is an emphasic way to say "première classe"
This is exactly the same thing in english "The first class" vs "first class"
But "La première" in its elliptic formulation also makes a subtle reference to the famous perfume Chanel "N 5"
So it suggests that "La première" is a level higher than a regular "première classe"
In english we see the same kind of thing :
British soccer "premier league" sounds more prestigious than "first (prime) league"
So "La première" should simply translate into "premier class"
In french we use more often the emphatic formulation (with prefix "la" or "the"), this is less in use in english
