I have ADHD & have been on stimulants my whole life. My very first edible hit in a way I can’t even begin to describe. I had been drunk before, it still didn’t compare to the feeling of *down* (in a VERY, VERY good way). It was like, I could appreciate my present state of mind, and all of the anxiety from my years hopped up on Adderall melted away, and I felt like I did all those years ago, a time when I didn’t feel like my heart was going to explode every morning. Edibles still hit great, but I would kill to have that experience again:

@@Dayraven15 22 with autism, edibles work for me since I refuse to smoke. All it’s done is made my breathing switch from automatic to manual and music sound way more intricate. Beware though, from my experience it makes me basically immobile until I come down again, which sucks because I’d like to paint while high at some point.

For some reason, edible gummies unlock childhood memories and I can’t stop it. It’s so weird. Things I have thought about in 30 years i suddenly remember. I don’t eat gummies for that reason

It’s called shadow work. Consuming cannabis among other substances has been a form of spiritual work. It helps release lots of trauma you may be holding on to. Try to revisit and let go of anything holding you back from the past.

It took me 3 hours of feeling nothing before it hit me like an 18 wheeler. The ceiling became a flowing river and my legs kept getting longer and then zapping back to normal size. I have never smoked before, and I thought having an edible would help with my anxiety. I was wrong. I couldn't think, I was losing track of time, my heart started to race, I had a panic attack which turned into a grande Mal seizure. I was going in and out of consciousness, and in a very brief moment of clarity I called 911. I had to be rushed to the hospital. I'm not epileptic but I do have seizures every now and then and this stuff made it worse. it was one of the scariest moments in my life. I'm never doing that again.

Idk if you know this but that was actually just a panic attack, the true dose of lethal thc is 1500 lbs which is inherently too high for an edible that usually contains 20g per piece (gummy)

The worst imaginable horror. I literally experienced suffocating to death and dying over and over and over, thinking that it was going to last eternity.
My back felt like I was being stabbed in the spine with a knife because I tensed up so hard for hours.
And my mouth and throat were burning and dry.
Every time I looked at the clock it was the same time.
I watched videos on my phone and it was just jumbled up nonsense.
After I came out of the trip, I was tired, in pain, my chest hurt and I have anxiety constantly that I'm going to open my eyes and be back in that state of confusion and fear again.

My first experience with an edible was at a camping trip in Big Sur. I took one just before bedtime. Put out the campfire and headed to my tent. I was still feeling normal and thought nothing about what would take place. I had no expectations and was just busy preparing my sleeping bag. As I settled in my sleeping bag I laid there just reflecting about my life. Then as I was about to doze off this sudden surge of energy from my legs shot up my spine all the way to my brain. Like it just pushed all the cloudiness away and my thinking became amplified but my body was cold and convulsing. I tried not to panic and implemented some breathing techniques which I do on a daily basis. It help me calm down and not lose it. Though the breathing worked it was slowly intensifying. So I sat up and decided to meditate. Just sit with it and allow myself to be open and one with whatever was happening. I was able to remote view all these places I’ve never seen. Some looked like it was here on earth and some looked alien. At one point I opened my eyes from meditation then in front of me with my eyes wide open… what I can only describe as a portal opening up… was bluish white in color… a blue skinned alien pops out smiling at me and giving me the thumbs up. It didn’t speak but I understood it. Like it was telepathy or something. After that my body was calm and I was just observing and enjoying the experience.

As someone who has taken edibles with friends, I highly recommend it.

You forgot to mention that regular and sustained Marijuana use can trigger serious, lifelong mental health disorders like schizophrenia & psychosis. Most people feel sick when they try marijuana and don't even enjoy the high. The thing to remember is that it intensifies how you feel, so if you're in a good place in life, it can be a pleasant experience. If you're depressed or anxious - then expect marijuana to make those feelings much worse.
This is what it’s come down to. I eat edibles at night and use nicotine pouches by day. No more alcohol.

Consider a situation where one has to in their minds create a hypothetical scenario of talking to someone. It's easy to use language to process the possible outcome of the conversation. Been a pot smoker for 30 years. Thought I would try edibles so that I wouldn’t have to smoke. Turns out, I have a metabolism that metabolizes them super quickly and I get no effects from them. Tried it out slowly and ended up taking about 300 mg in two hours to absolutely zero effect. Got them from a reputable place, but I think that’s a little crazy.
Unfortunately some people just can’t get high from edibles because they are literally built different. Even if they take crazy high doses, they don’t feel a thing. If you have the ability to explore other options, you could also try tinctures, patches, or maybe even drinks to see if those work for you?

yeah my first time with edibles wasn't exactly peachy....my friends all put there money together to buy me a bag of edibles 100mg 15 gummies (mind you i was still fairly new to weed in general at that time) i think for my birthday, but after i had gotten them went home and ate half the bag they decided to tell me "oh and fyi only eat one"......when i tell you i was so high it felt like someone was pushing me into my mattress further, and further..my phone felt like a 65 inch oled TV, and i could pick up sounds i couldn't pick up before it was crazy...
