I'm gonna die laughing if alternate Washington got flash frozen and transported through time because a 'cherry tree' he tried to cut down was actually a weird transdimensional portal tree
How does it feel to have the gift of prophecy?

Also the paintings made me cry
I mean....it is a parralel universe, so quite realistic XD
it is fiction after all!
I'm not convinced that Dean is even human. Mainly because in Dean Disaster, the sounds were loud enough to kill anyone in too close a proxy and Dean was reported to have "repaired" one personally.
And he lost his hearing tho didn't he?
@@billblaski9523 he set off the sirens to make anti Dean people look bad then didn't mind that he lost his hearing cuz he knew they had a plan to cure hearing loss. They forced it on people who didn't want it cuz maybe they csn control the people somehow. That's my theory on it.

I can excuse a magical tree and a bunch of people getting skinned by a statue but I draw the line at someone having 10 super close friends who will pick you up and help you hang a star

So weirdly, there's a real world parallel for Petrie losing his head. The real Petrie donated his head to science after death but the jar containing it was lost and by the time they found it it was super bloated and decomposed. Not sure if the creator knew this, I'm guessing so but super creepy if not.
There are LOTS of references to real world events like this, I'm actually a bit surprised Wendigoon didn't mention/maybe wasn't aware of more of them. Like Crawford really was the sculptor who made the statue of Freedom, and he really did make the design after a freed slave initially (a _Roman_ freed slave, note that in ancient Rome slavery was not race-based and freeing slaves was a common practice). Jefferson Davis, who was Secretary of War at the time and later president of the Confederacy, was enraged and would not allow the design to go through. Crawford died with the finished plaster statue (not bronze, the actual statue was cast in the US) in his studio in Italy. The ship carrying the statue had to stop in Gibraltar due to water leaking into the ship.
Giza glass is also a reference to a real phenomenon. When lightning strikes sand it can melt the sand into glass, creating what's called a fulgurite. They are very rare. However, they are not "glass" in the sense of manmade glass, it's more like how the rock pumice is a type of volcanic glass. It isn't clear or sharp, it's rough and sand-colored.
It seems like many of the events of the real world have "parallels" in the monument mythos, such as the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, the blockage of the Suez Canal by the Ever Given, Maize has some parallels with real computer companies, etc.
@@KGH3000Jan 6th was a mostly peaceful protest

I think for me, the freakiest thing about all of this are the special trees, like they're tied into everything in the series and while they're not malignant as far as we know, they're just everywhere, there's a whole multidimensional infinite void full of them, we know from Everett that they're actually not trees despite looking like them, and it's just that the ominous air envelopes something that should be so benign.
Gives more creedence to "the tree of life"
I watched this video aaaages ago and Im just rewatching it now and the only thing that really stuck with me and made my skin crawl was those trees. Eugh so creepy

Oh man, i feel so sorry for Virginia, i started crying a bit. Even though she is a fictional character, she went through so much, only to end up mentally destroyed and robbed of a normal life...that is what happens to a lot of children irl as well, sadly...
this was exactly my thoughts on it as well :/.
Hear me out, the reason Virginia (Nixon) took so long in wonderland was just cause Virginia (Dean) hadn’t touched the tip of the tree yet, and she was trapped in a waiting room of sorts while the alternate version hadn’t touched the tip yet
Shit I guess that could explain why Everett is ther too. He was waiting for his baby self
Yooo that’s wild to think about
@@yunaka_gaming maybe he was there and was “protecting” Virginia when they met in wonderland because the baby Everett wasn’t born yet and he didn’t want to be stuck in wonderland permanently (no baby, no exit)

The people's love for JD seems off to me. He's *too* well liked for what he's doing. Imagine in current times, a president (whichever DT or JB) gives an Adress which is completely without audio because of outside interference. They'd be perceived as incompetent, as unsteady leaders. Not liked because "he's so confident". There's some additional fuckery going on behind the scenes of James Dean Administration, I tell you.
@@pirig-gal I believe that's intentional, but it's also hilarious that the immediate reaction is to call him satan(even if it's true).

Can't believe how many Anti-Deaners are in this comment section. It's just nuts.
The most farfetched part of that tree story is that she had 10 friends willing to form a human ladder. I can’t even get one friend to help me move a couch.
Children are less selfish I guess
The 30s were a different time, I suppose
Also the fact that one kid was able to hold 9 other kids up, that's gotta be alot of pressure on the spine. Either these kids are light as a feather or the kid at the bottom is as strong as an ox

This series makes a thousand times more sense allegorically when you remember the Thomas Jefferson quote: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."
Considering that quote, I wonder if Jefferson will have any involvement in the future. Like he’s the guy who started looking into the Special Trees when the US was created or something.

My head hurts now…better go grab some vinegar
Damn this is some grade A nightmare material. My self-destructive brain is gonna give me some real disturbing images this night.
same here lmao
I always had this idea that the spikes on Rushmore are special trees, which in the alternate dimension are surrounded by a baby powder-like powder, just as the one sprinkled on Rushmore.
Fell asleep watching a legit nature doco & woke up to this playing at around the 34:00 minute mark…..was *thoroughly* confused as to what the hell was happening, why the canyon smelt like vinegar & what the hell it meant that an animal called a canyonggalan “used the vinegar to shrink its head back onto its body”.
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to look at the grand canyon the same way again 😂
That is honestly an amazing experience. It’s perfectly surreal. The kind of thing you can’t do on purpose.
I was literally having the because weirdest dreams when this autoplayed
I went to sleep with strep, so I turned this on while I probably had a fever, I was a bit delerious. When I woke up I was like "did that video actually exist?" And it does apparently, I had to rewatch it. Some of it I had dreamed after watching this video I think because I remember extra stuff 😂
@@coinwater8511 this reminds me of when I had a severe case of tonsillitis as a child and essentially had a waking nightmare where I hallucinated that my grandmother’s curtains had an evil big head coming for me. Sounds funny now, was traumatising to a very sick 8 year old.
@@ghoultooth Oh, I remember that kind of nightmare. Those stay with you for YEARS. I didn‘t even have to be sick to have them… ^^;
Fun fact: There’s actually a condition where all your insides are backwards. Like everything is mirrored compared to a regular body. It doesn’t really effect you and is very rare but it’s pretty cool ig

My cousin has this, literally does not effect them at all its just mirrored for some reason.
Wasn't this a plot point in MGS2?

This series helped me come to accept that, actually, yes - things could've gone worse, and I should be glad that they didn't
Wendi's giddy, delirious laugh as he realizes how insane and massive this all is at the end of the video is so funny.
I got into this several months ago and was distraught to see that no one had made a video then. I am overjoyed to see that ALEXKANSAS is finally getting the attention it deserves
Exactly this is one of the best analog horror series out there

I love all the weird comedy that’s throwing in. Everything about Dean is masterfully done

you know that unless u live right next to the monuments it can’t hurt u but like.., i live in michigan and i’m still scared
Well, Alcatraz can really travel…
I might have to restart, I'm 30 minutes in and lost my consciousness and suffered a wakened fever dream. It could be that it's because I haven't slept in two days, but honestly it could just be the fact I had a fever dream explained to me while half my brain went dolphin mode and fell asleep while the other was wide awake. The mention of a squirrel snapped me out of it.
why is it always wholesome when ever a youtuber brings on his dad
I just imagine like the most cinematic, epic shot of this ancient eldritch creature slowly waking up from it's trillion years slumber, displacing millions of tons of water, carrying a freighter on it's back without even trying, an awe of life, a living creature so incredibly massive that we are simply ants to it. It slowly walks and walks, through all weather, through any obstacle, almost giving the sense that this creature was far beyond us in every perspective, feeling that we can't stop it even if we had to. It walks through the desert, shocking anyone who sees it, even from a far distance away. It never tires, never rests, never even stopped.
And it fucking trips on a banana peel or somethin'.
“Ah finally! My million year slumber has been finalized. Time to traverse the earth and- shIT” *cartoon crashing noises*

The comedy in this series is really underrated
@@gingermagicc7859 I mean this one was an Evergreen joke even from the begining so the creator is definitely not beyond memeing in his works
The ship that got stuck in the Suez Canal was actually called the Ever Given in real life too, it's just that the company that operated the ship is called Evergreen Marine and everyone seeing the company name on the ship mistook it for the ship's name.

I haven't seen any comments about this so im just gonna say this:
Deafness had been eradicated less than a month after the siren incident, almost as though Maize and maybe Dean too had been planning the incident for a while, and had already been working on hearing implants and ways to mass distribute them.
I haven't seen this series but it seems to be very cool and have a lot of attention to deatil, will probably watch it someday because of this video
I'm half an hour in and every time he's about to start a new section, he prefaces it with "this probably sounds crazy so far, this next thing is even worse" and I am LOVING it 🤣 🤣
When Wendigoon laughs I feel like he's practicing being human. He doesn't sleep, he doesn't eat, he just practices laughing more naturally in front of the mirror, doing impressions of you.

@@yasserthenarcissist9975 yes, this is actually the uncensored, true history that has been erased from the books. Wendi is such a brave soul for showing this, even though he knows that everyone who makes videos of the truth get depressed and shoot themselves in the back several times, then walk to a river and jump in to it.
The ADA is made by Dean himself to false flag against whatever they want.
I think it's very funny that the names of the people who founded Maize are Rob Careers and Rob Watroba cause it's a not-so-subtle nod to Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak founding Apple
i love how you can tell even during editing he was getting more tired as the video goes on

What I enjoy most about this series is that when ever we are shown video of anything it is the worst quality shakiest footage ever and the scary part is only visible for a second or two and you usually have to watch the clip several times to actually know what we are looking at
12:15
As someone else pointed out on the GT Live video of MatPat's reaction to this series: that isn't a Golgi Apparatus. It's a Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum.
I think that the Everett in Wonderland is Virginia’s son. When she “lost him” he ended up trapped there. He says “anyone could be her” as he is looking for his mother whose face he never knew. The fact that they flash around together might also be evidence of this. When she flashes back to Rockefeller Plaza, she feels sad that she “lost” him, mirroring when she later loses hik as an unborn child. Also, the fact that she has to give a name to a grown man tells me that he doesn’t know his own name, as in, he was never given one.
Damn just got to the part where you said this 😭
I agree, the trees did her dirty, shits fucked up

I think you might be overthinking the Crown's capacities as a war tool. I think that quite simply, they have the power to float, and nothing else. They're extremely good at it, so Germans are able to construct giant blimps out of extremely heavy but durable material, necessitating the special ray. The bombs are just that, bombs.
That makes a lot of sence tbh.
