Old CASE XX pocket knives from a Hardware Store - unboxing stockman, peanut, moose, trapper & more

- In this video I reveal what has been hiding inside these old Case pumpkin knife boxes. These boxes were used from the 1950s until the mid 1980s. They were purchased at a hardware store a while ago. There are lots of cool knives in these boxes, mostly from the 1970s and 80s. Patterns include Stockman, lockbacks, congress, jack knives, moose and many more! Lots of interesting handle materials including genuine stag, jigged bone, delrin, aluminum, wood, etc.

The Jack knife from the 19:00 minute mark is a 6292 pattern large Texas Jack, one of my favorite patterns. Good purchases all around!
My favorite would be the 5375 stag stockman followed by the large Texas Jack.
Yes, that 9 looked like a zero. Good call, Texas jacks are a great pattern!
Just a couple of hints from an old collector, don't store knives in tissue paper or paper towels, a friend of mine found out the hard way, they draw moisture and cause the rust spots. Don't open two blades that are on the same spring at the same time, it causes undue stress and can break the spring. You got a nice bunch of knives there, I really like the stags.
Thanks for the tips! I'll keep that in mind. I guess you need to keep wiping them down with Ren Wax every couple of years. This seems to be the way to keep them looking good!

I believe you will find a difference between a "47" and a "047" . The "47" frame is 3 7/8" and the "047" is a 4" frame. Check it out....
