I love evergreen. I live here in the area and pop in there for some pours fairly frequently. Bartenders all have great conversetion to. Had both of their nashville barrel co. store picks there last weekend. Phenomenal!
thanks for the quick tour. that was great. there aren't many GREAT STORES ANYMORE. that looks like Ione of the great ones. its all about sharing and enjoying the story along with the bourbon
I’m so grateful to you Going to the Derby this weekend, and now I have the spot to go to thanks to you. Awesome I really appreciate this, you have no idea.
Good videos man. Keep it up. Your stuff is a great change of pace from the "just sits in front of the camera and reviews a bottle" that literally everyone else always does. I enjoy the store videos.
Appreciate the video, well be heading down to Louisville in Early April. Looks like Evergreen is the place to go and you've spared us quite a bit of time. Crazy to think Pour prices in KY are worse than NYC...
I made my first trip to Louisville in early October; I scheduled a tour at Angels Envy. I knew nothing about bourbon and can’t say I actually drank it before.( I know, hard to believe) This experience was wonderful for me to start to learn. I really like this information, but for a beginner, I’d be lost in a room full of bottles with out any guidance or direction . Just st sharing my experience ( and looking forward to learning more!)
Recognized Evergreen from the thumbnail!!! Hands down my favorite spot in Louisville. Unassuming is exactly the right word. Great bartenders, great selection. I stop there every time I’m in Louisville. I’m in Columbus… recommendations- Middle West Spirits and their restaurant, Service Bar, are both outstanding. Watershed & High Bank are also great distilleries with good restaurants. A little north of CBus, in Delaware, is Opa! a Greek restaurant with probably the largest bourbon selection in Ohio. The owner is awesome.
Going to Louisville next month, and because of you and other people suggesting it I'll be going to evergreen. I am excited to try michters tour as well
Great effort! Very useful videos. You asked if we knew of spots that may interest you. On a road trip last fall we spent a night in Elizabethtown and I discovered the Kroger Wine & Spirits shop there and, as you know, found a very nice selection and great pricing (for those with a Kroger card). We also scouted out a few other liquor stores in town and can suggest John O's as a place that stood out. Not sure I'd make a special trip from Cincinnati but, if you're headed that way, worth checking them out.
I'm heading downtown Louisville in 3 weeks. I've been trying to find the liquor stores I want to hit and this video just dropped at the perfect time! Thank you! Did you find store picks or other bourbon bottles you don't usually see in other places?
Northern Indiana (Indiana Whiskey Company)and SW Michigan (Journeyman Distillery) has some great local distilleries! If you’re looking for a bigger metropolis, Indianapolis has plenty of distilleries around it.
In Columbus, or Ohio for that matter, you probably won't find anything just hopping around from store to store. This is because Ohio is state run with retail price control, and an up to date website. You'll have to find out what a particular store's delivery day is and wait in line, many times earlier than 7am. A lot of the stores have started to hold back allocations until Saturday mornings at 9am.
I just came from VA where that was the case as well. I now live in Louisville. Currently I’m missing being able to find allocated items like Eagle Rare at reasonable prices 😂. I used to buy a bottle for $38. Here the only time I see it is for more than double that. Trust me, there’s definitely pros and cons.
Was just there and I couldn't agree more. The distilleries were nice, but if you want to try some hard to find bourbons Evergreens is the best place to go.
In Indianapolis, The Rural Inn liquor store has a nice selection of store picks. But, sadly, I have seen more Larceny and EC barrel picks in your videos than I have ever seen up here.
Also, a trip to Spirits of French Lick in Indiana is pretty cool. However, most of their stuff is readily available at most stores in Indy, including Total Wine.
Ohio, you're not going to find anything allocated. But Dayton has one of the best whisky bars in the country. Must check out the Century Bar, with over 700 different whiskies. If you come before May 1st, I'll meet you there
I’m starving and pausing the video and zooming in on prices and bottle and pour prices please just take a good picture of the menu pages in the future please please. Had to stop and rewind so many times.
If you want to know torture, I live with it daily. I am the oldest grandchild of Arthur J. Cummins. If you want to read the history of a true Kentucky Bourbon family, Google " Cummins had Bourbon in their blood ". One of the great Pre Prohibition family distillers, my grandfather was a master distiller at 18, and running a distillery at 21. He got back to business with the Repeal and continued through troubles with Uncle Sam during WWII to be a prominent blender and private bottler until his untimely death in 1949. The torture? Since I was 32 in 1984, I have been unable to drink Bourbon or any other alcoholic beverage due to a heart condition. Someone up there hates me. Another fun fact, my great uncle's daughter, my grandfather's neice, married Fredi Heineken, yes that Heineken. Two great alcoholic beverage families joined.

Like the unassuming approach your videos take. Well done and very illuminating regarding Louisville bourbon bars. Thanks.
Thanks!
Great video! Definitely, appreciate it. Gave me some ideas to celebrate my 30th coming up!
You went in big time at Evergreen Liquors. Nice job! Glad you experienced that large selection.
thanks for the quick tour. that was great. there aren't many GREAT STORES ANYMORE.

Love watching these!
Thanks!!
Good videos man. Keep it up. Your stuff is a great change of pace from the "just sits in front of the camera and reviews a bottle" that literally everyone else always does. I enjoy the store videos.
Thanks man. Sometimes I worry about running out of stores to film. Or filming the same bottles over and over again.
Appreciate the video, well be heading down to Louisville in Early April. Looks like Evergreen is the place to go and you've spared us quite a bit of time. Crazy to think Pour prices in KY are worse than NYC...
Heading to Louisville on Thursday for the first time. Look forward to checking out Evergreen. Thanks!
Have fun!
Great video! I used to travel to Louisville all the time for work -BEFORE I got into Bourbon…I’d drink beer there ……what a dope! 😢😅

Oh nice, will make it up there eventually
Honestly, DC has the best bourbon spots I’ve ever seen. You can just walk into any corner store and find ridiculously rare bottles.
At secondary prices lol 😆
Great content. Thanks for sharing your trip!
Thank you for sharing. Will be going soon!
Going to Louisville next month, and because of you and other people suggesting it I'll be going to evergreen. I am excited to try michters tour as well
Good video guys! We are going to come down and do the bourbon trail in 2024 and I can't wait.
I love the channel, keep up the great work 👍🏽
My gf and I are heading there in August to check out Old Forester so thank you for this video! Will def be making a trip to Evergreen.
Thanks for the tour and info.
This location was recommended to me a couple days ago, after I did some sampling at Liquor Barn in Louisville. Nice Video, subbed.
Thanks!
Wow! Thanks for sharing this! I'm heading to Louisville this summer! I followed you! Nice job!

Nice!

Umm, Liquor Barn is the only other store that sells stuff close to the MSRP
Making me wanna take a trip to Louisville
Columbus OH has Watershed, High Bank & Middle West Distilleries all within 30 min drive of each other. I would highly recommend Watershed.
This was a most enjoyable video. I will have to try Evergreen as I live in Louisville. Thanks
I plan on visiting early summer, good video.
Try aberlour casg annamh. And get a stagg
Nicely done, sir. Thank you so much.
Thanks bud!
I manage Top Shelf Liquors in Berkeley Springs WV if youre ever coming through!
would love to see you visit Columbus, OH
Which Evergreen location did you visit? Was it E Market St?
720 E Market St, Louisville, KY 40202
Damn that bar/shop looked dope!
100% agree - Evergreen is a gem!
Northern Indiana (Indiana Whiskey Company)and SW Michigan (Journeyman Distillery) has some great local distilleries! If you’re looking for a bigger metropolis, Indianapolis has plenty of distilleries around it.
Ok, I’ll check it out

Tell me about it, I live in Ohio...

I picked up a bottle of the Masters Blend from Evan Williams. I enjoyed it, since it was something different. What did you think?
Yeah I liked it! Very nutty and nice
Covington/Newport, Kentucky. Dive in and I'll be curious if we land on the same venues.
I’ve hit every store in that area already. Check my video from a week ago.
You must have been hammered after the tasting at that last bar 😂
Haha! Not too bad, it wasn’t all in one sitting. We went to walk around and got food and came back.
Hello my friend I enjoyed your video. I'm based out of Louisville so I'm a bit spoiled. Just subbed and looking forward to your uploads. Cheers!
So, should I go to Evan Williams or not? Does Evergreen have all the Elijah Craig at the same pricing?
Go to both. Evan Williams might have some exclusive bottles for sale in the morning.
Did they have bottles of stuff like George T. Stagg or E.H. Taylor for sale?
Nope, but you can try them at the bar
@@thebourbonchronicles Cool, thanks!
if youre ever back, go to the Silver Dollar, 3x the bourbon selection at the bar
Have u tried that IW Harper 15 it’s really good
No I haven’t yet!
Greta video! Keep’em coming
Thanks bud!
Bardstown, Kentucky
You should head to Chicago. Lots of retail stores and bars here
Planning a trip after this video.
Great video, thanks!
If you can remember how much was a pour of weller full proof at evergreen?
Hmm I forgot, maybe $15 or something
@@thebourbonchronicles not bad, gonna check that place out in two weeks hoping to find a bottle of full proof
Great video thanks
What did that Pappy pour cost?
I think $25 or something in that range. Most expensive as King of KY for $50.
Was just there and I couldn't agree more. The distilleries were nice, but if you want to try some hard to find bourbons Evergreens is the best place to go.

Cool video my guy
Thanks bud!
Man, I passed on Larceny Barrel Strength for $55 today. Didn't hit for me when I tried it recently.
id disagree about pricing, you have to know what to get at the bars, LA wont be carrying Luca Mariano or certain barrel proof bottles etc
Ohio, you're not going to find anything allocated.
But Dayton has one of the best whisky bars in the country.
Must check out the Century Bar, with over 700 different whiskies.
If you come before May 1st, I'll meet you there
check out Elixir Spirits in Spring Hill, Tn. Tell them St. Nick sent u :)
Hell yeah, I need to do a hunt in Tennessee
Lou a VULL...
Damn… don’t share the secret spots!😑
Kool hunt. /I like scotch whiskey ardbeg uigeadail scotch
I’m starving and pausing the video and zooming in on prices and bottle and pour prices please just take a good picture of the menu pages in the future please please. Had to stop and rewind so many times.
RIP that liquor store haha
Evergreen? Ha! I think all the local people knew about it already
Next place to go? Go back to ever green liquors and slow don and zoom in on the prices and the menu. Try a flight of the bartenders choices
Very good prices. Eagle Rare $4, Stagg JR $15, Pappy 15 was $25 I believe.
That’s Amazing Thank you Thank you
Those are distilleries not bars. I live in the Ville.
Favorite bourbon peerless &minor cases rye
Thanks, gonna check it out.

Oh man! That’s heartbreaking. I had heart palpitations after drinking alcohol but taking some magnesium tablets seems to have fixed it.
Birthday bourbon is so overhyped. 1920 beats it in blinds frequently.
I’m feeling the same way
@@thebourbonchronicles Thanks for the great recommendations. Hitting Louisville in June
Constructive criticism with all do respect. Good vid…but as much as I like music you’d do better to tone the music down.
not northern indiana.
Won’t find good bourbon in the city. The 😮
Not much good in Virginia 😂
Awesome trip, but that background music is horrendous lol
Haha, you know of any UA-cam friendly royalty free jams?
Personally, I like the smooth jazz :)
