Great way to test out that rye! FYI, for anyone passing thru Nashville Int Airport WHISKEY TRAILHEAD AT BNA has 30+ bottles of NBC Connect Spirts Rye as of 1-3-25. I grabbed one of the NBC 7 yr SmB Bourbon from ‘23 that was sitting in the bottom shelf. That one was Fred Minnick’s #4 in ‘23.
Where can a person buy online?
Congratulations sir,rye isn't my thing but if you like it I love it for you 🥃
Fred always has a few on his list that I've never heard of. What a great find! 👍 🥃
Thanks for stopping by❤🎉
I have a WT 70th. I've also tried it at the WT distillery and a friend's bottle. I didn't think it was anything special. Average bottle at best. Then again I'm not a WT guy at all. Russell's is good, the rest you can keep.
Agreed
Russell’s Reserve Private Barrel Selection is great juice 🤘🏻
Met her at the Weller tour.
Happy New Year. I really enjoy your hunting videos. You do a great job.
Thanks!
Maybe Campari is ripping us off with the 70th? I need to do my own blind
KY spirit is a single barrel; some barrels are much better than others.
Damn I really like the 70th. Maybe I need to blind myself..
Neck pour? If so, send it again in a few weeks
Yeah it’s possible, I’ll have to try it again soon
I paid $80 for my 70th 101 and I don't regret it one bit. I'm currently trying to track down a backup bottle.
Great blind!!Trust your instincts! If you don't like it, you don't like it. I have a Kentucky Spirit that is worse than WT 101. And the Kentucky Spirit at the distillery was amazing (in the last video)!
Blinds are humbling. I haven't found a 70th at msrp yet, and apparently that's a good thing. Cheers 🥃
I haven’t even SEEN a 70th in a store yet.
this guy is a total douche. lol
The only places I shop for liquor in KY are Krogers, Liquor Barn, Costco and Sam’s. The rest can stick their price gouging up their butt.
Wow the prices soo marked up !! You like double oak get you a peerless double oak amazing
Love that you pan slowly and show us the prices !
If all the guns and bourbon are just on the shelves, what in the world is in the safe!!!!
Interesting to hear your take on scotch. I prefer scotch and hate bourbon for similar but opposite reasons to you. Everything spirit wise that’s not malted barely tastes just meh to me regardless of price.
Bro is more stocked then 90% of liquor stores 😂😂
Everyone has their preferences, but at least get your information correct. The amount inaccuracies is shocking.
Green River full proof for $40.... they're $55-60 in Ohio. And it's an awesome bottle so I'd buy that up at $40
Gonna be hunting for a new liver at the end of this rainbow.
Reminds of a character out of GTA!
This actually seems like a good way to do it. Here in GA, nearly all stores doing raffles require you to purchase a store pick of something you don’t need/want to enter any raffles.
I can get the 17 year but it is $450
Y’all should check out Beam next; they have a nice tasting bar. Tasted two Hardin’s Creek pours (including a Jacob’s Well) for $25. Also bought a Baker’s 13 bottle (not distributed in GA)
I wish I could score a Stagg. Just saw my first bottle in the wild and it was $300
Those prices are outrageous. You would assume the prices would be better closer to the source, but that seems to be the exact opposite.
Totally agree on the wild turkey. Russel’s is an A tier for value for me though.
Love your collection 👍
the fact he paid $200 for that blantons wrapped in fake LV just to be a “center piece” on his wall. this dude cares more about what people have to say about his bourbon COLLECTION than the bourbon itelf.
Meh... if we're beng honest, collecting makes more sense if you're buying expensive bourbon. All the people that "care" about their bourbon and buy expensive bottles couldn't pick a double blind right with any consistency to save their life.
30 dollars for 1oz😒
Helluva bar dude!! Excellent collection too!
Alex has a terrible palate. He is way off on most things
Very enjoyable watching you go through your collection and favorites. I also only recently started collecting and drinking bourbon and whiskey. I live in VA, so we’re somewhat limited on what’s available here. I have friends here who say it’s good to have a connection in Ohio because of the ability to cross pollinate so to speak.
Nice is ever north sourced🤔
EverNorth sources all of their juice, but what they do with it is simply incredible
Terrible price
Very helpful
Where in Michigan did you find that ECBP toasted?
Great video Tim and Alex. I went to wild turkey and 4 🌹back in 23. The new wild turkey visitors center was under construction, so it was the litte building at the bottom. I need to get back to see the new place. 4 🌹was so nice to us. Friendly staff and a beautiful campus. 🥃
I really liked the WT visitor centers, but it was surprisingly small. I thought they would have gone bigger. Luckily, it wasn't crowded at all on a Sunday at opening. We spent an hour at WT, then spent an hour and a half at the Four Roses distillery. The bar there was great and yes, they were super friendly! Then we headed over to Buffalo Trace - I thought by 3pm the allocated bottles would have been sold out, but there was plenty of EH Taylor left that day, and we got a last minute walk-on to their tour! It was a great day!
@alexanderlai9160 That is surprising to hear that they had allocated left that late. I've gone in the afternoon and the eagle rares were all gone. I'm glad you guys had a great time. 🥃
Two great stops! We were down in late October and stopped by the new visitor center at Wild Turkey, and it was great. Wife talked me into getting an expensive pour, and the bartender recommended the CN-B over the RR15. It was possibly the best pour I’ve ever experienced. We love the Four Roses campus too. Absolutely beautiful gift shop and bar, especially with their wrap around porch. 👍 Cheers, and Merry Christmas!
That's awesome! Will have to try that next time!
Great video fellas! I need to try some 4R LE
I've never even seen a bottle in the wild so it was never really on my radar. But now, I plan to try a different LE at the bar everytime I visit the distillery!
Great stuff, thanks for sharing the content. Have subscribed as well. Quick question: are there any “butterscotch bombs” you would recommend ? I tend to find the vanilla, caramels but this is a profile that is hard to come by. Cheers, best wishes
Hmm that’s a hard one. According to the internet McKenna 10 has some. Sometimes I can find Jif peanut butter in JD barrel proof and come 4 Roses are creamy. Maybe you should look into scotches for that note?
@@thebourbonchroniclesappreciate the feedback! Ok how about your caramel bombs? Any come to mind ?
Hard Truth four grain, Frey Ranch Uncut
Caramel: I had a bottle of Four Roses Small Batch Select, that after a few weeks of letting it open up, had a wonderful caramel on the palate; Butterscotch: I had one bottle of WT Rare Breed that was like drinking alcoholic butterscotch that was just wonderful but I have not found anything like that since; vanilla: Appleton 21 Rum pure french vanilla !
Try some of the new LBP picks
I thought this was the Harry Potter dude
He should try some Crittenden's Double Oaked offerings! Great video! So glad he actually drinks his collection.
Great video and nice bar. I built something similar during Covid 3 years. Basement bar and man cave. In Michigan Maybe not all the whiskey/bourbon you have but building up. 50 bottles.
