Also it is so kind of you to give us tips from your vast knowledge of works best for each piece. Hope your arm is feeling better now. Like my 100 year old friend told me on numerous occasions "Getting old is not for sissies"

Phil it's hell to get old: 2 months ago I unloaded a 500lb lathe myself and my back has been sore since. I think I just pulled a muscle. But at 70 years old you would think I would know better. Love the videos.
Yes, David, you should know better!! But, I understand, the lathe MUST get into the shop, NOW! LOL! The back can take care of itself. 😊 I'm doing better, hope you do, too!

Wow, I am NEVER in the right place to see your video when it's released. This is a real treat for me, buddy! I think I have only turned plum once and it is a beautiful wood to turn. You made a beautiful bowl with this one, Phil. You said you didn't want anyone to feel bad about your arm so I'm not going to say that I feel bad. I do but I'm not going to say so. I hope you heal up quickly, my friend. A little tip about getting more speed in spite of the vibration. I found that if you double the speed it will either calm down or the lathe will unplug itself when it has bounced far enough across the shop floor. Just a thought. Probably not a very good one!! LOL! Take care, Phil. 😃😃😃
