During that time, the album with the most influence in metalcore was Hollow Crown by Architects. That album stood the test of time and to this day, the songs on it sound exceptionally good. Whereas, the first BMTH albums sound like any other deathcore from that time if you listen to them now.
I feel like the production doesn't hold up super well, but this album is fantastic. Just constant riffs and breakdowns. There Is A Hell is probably my favorite BMTH album. I would love to see you react to older Underoath, like TOCS-era stuff. Haha.
Insane how this would cost thousands to produce back then but now anyone with a laptop and a DAW can make something sound much better for way way way less money and time.

For Stevie Wonder’s Eyes Only was one of my all time favorites. The opening lyric is “It’s 3:18” and ever since first hearing this song, and still to this day, whenever I randomly decide to look at the time, it’s 3:18 a good majority of the time 😂 so yeah this song has stuck with me for many years.

This album is a personal favorite of mine! It proves my personal theory that I thought of to be correct. I had an idea that you can like anything, regardless of how heavy it is if you listen to it a ton of times. Sure as shit, it worked like a charm for Count your blessings lol. Never thought I’d ever like music like this as it strayed far from my typical modern metalcore and deathcore tastes at the time, but now I appreciate every song on the album!

Personally my favourite song from this album. This was the first deathcore song that I ever liked, back when I still wasn't used to songs this heavy. Slowly I started to listen to the rest of Count Your Blessings and now I have reached the point where no metal song is too heavy for me.
