Which other old school bangers should I check out?
Also, check out Gthic! ► gthic.com?aff=114
(I Used To Make Out With) Medusa!! Solid old school banger!
I'm begging you, listen to Tell Slater. No breakdown makes me want to destroy shit more than that one.
Disfigured Elegance - The Foreigner
Medusa bmth
A Day To Remember - Mr. Highway's Thinking About The End
classic
*this* is what the edge of your seat was made for
My dumbass was looking at his seat looking for an explanation
What does the title mean?
@@moonlightbae7058it's just a song from them
For a second I thought they released a song and I didn't even knew
Same!
Same!
Saaaaaaaaaame lmao
yeah I got excited for a second. Post Human is amazing.
Yep me too
Crazy to think 15 years later, this same band released “Mother Tongue” lol
Yeah the same band that pray for plagues, then created medicine.
Follow You lol
The same band who made braille made True friends
Bruh😂😂😂
Yeah its a real fucking trip 😂
This EP is the definition of "a product of its time"
It’ll probably age better than the super low tuned numetalcore stuff of today will though tbh.
i hope In Flames make a new album :v
@@auberginedreams00 Not really. You can just tell this ep was mid 2000s deathcore
@@Lightning-gg5iu I’m saying I don’t think a lot of modern stuff will age any better in 15 years
@@auberginedreams00 Party pooper
2:15 funny your should mention, they actually have a track called rawrrr on the same ep lol
This ^^^
So this ep is 2008: the cover?
@@Hadthese this is what the edge of your seat was made for
From 2004 I think
the decade of rawr being everywhere
You really need to hear (I used to make out with) Medusa if you haven’t already
Yes banger
BANGER
Its nik, of course he heard the most popular deathcore song!
@@silenoz1993 pray for plagues is surely their most popular deathcore song
That song is absolutely lit, it also had possibly the best riff in the bands history. Definitely a slept on banger.
This ep is so raw, I like how diy and punkish it feels. It's rather violent than heavy. To me this sort of sound ages so much better than the overproduced one. Amen.
And this was the band that made "Music to Listen To~" and "Amo"
Holy shit.
Nik you should do the deathcore medley they played live recently. That way you get multiple of their old songs in a new and fun package!
absolutely, he would love it!!!!
Yeahhh
Yessss
Yes do this
Definetly enjoyed that one
One good song by BMTH is Crucify me. The song is a experience.
That entire album is seriously underrated. WAYYY better than Suicide Season. Its basically proto-Sempiternal.
@@nightrunnerks indeed. Underrated indeed
Yeah their Heaven/Hell is my personal favorite by BMTH and is honestly to me is their strongest one just with pure raw screaming and emotion Oli contributes to it.
Soooooo good. Not as good as sempiternal imo, but still fantastic.
Hell yes!
there is no hiding it, early Oli had FREAKY vocals
what...?
Early Oli wrote death core music I like the new sound tbh
freaky? its just deathcore vocals. Nout too out there
shit you meant
It's hard to recognize this is the bring me the horizon, from the sound I am familiar with especially with today's sound, I probably not gonna be big on deathcore but their more metalcore side cause I love olis cleans mixed with his dirty vocals.
How are you this late? Every deathcore fan should be aware of this EP. Absolute classic.
2:15
Nik: My dude is just RAWRing it up on the vocals
BMTH: Well about that...
BMTH
*Has a song called RAWWWRR!*
This ep was inspired by Dillinger and those kinda bands so... not off.
damn i just realized that he should also check out architects first album “Nightmares”
Love both bands
well, oli said in a interview that they wanted to start a dillinger escape style band
they recorded me flushing my toilet
@@goner.9989 it doesnt sound like any of the other og Mathcore bands like botch or coalesce but I could see a comparison to later bands in the style like iwrestledabearonce
I still enjoy this really messy guitar tone. Feels more natural than the overproduced shit most metalcore bands do now.
Truth
Some bands still nail guitar tone. Polaris comes to mind. Heavy and you can hear the actual note.
It doesn’t have the messy grit of 2000s bands though.
@@landrysaathoff2418 they're doing it slightly better but yeah a lot of these excessively clean sounding bands are so clean that you can' even hear what they're playing
@@neighborhoodmusicsnob5517 THANK YOU!! i was literally thinking yesterday how metal sounds too neat as of recent years. It's good but also sounds...wrong...
Same with vocals. They're too polished and "accurate" especially in a lot of modern deathcore. Only a few people like Keith Buckley or Connie Sgarbossa or Bryan Garris seem to be doing it with more raw emotion and energy.
I'd also reccomend "they have no reflections" from the ep, it's my favorite off of it
They covered Eyeless by Slipknot around the time this came out and I'd love to see you react to that 🤘
I was 14 when this ep release. Now 31 and still listen to old and new bmth. 😎🤘
Hard to believe this is the same band that made amo and some of their newer songs. I love all eras of bmth but they've definitely changed their sound a LOT throughout the years lmao
The way you said “watch out in the pit” is probably the most Canadian thing I’ve ever heard you utter.
Man that takes me back lmao...every local metal band sounded like this including mine haha
Off The Heezay by BMTH is worth checking too. Their early deathcore days were actually good.
Check out "no need for introductions, i've read about you on the back of toilet doors" by BMTH. Best Song xD
Oh absolutely XD
Facts
Very nice jazz song to show to your grandma
@@earthtrone Yeah right, but she would probably stop at 0:15 haha
@@meccand.med.9442 you mean her heart would stop?
I almost shit my pants, my notifications just said Nik Nocturnal and Bring me the Horizon, I thought they released more new music, I couldn't have been more wrong lol
I thought the exact same, like... how did I miss this??
Before BMTH caught the Imagine Dragons syndrome
Man, I fucking love this album. 10/10
Wait wait wait wait??? Have you not heard Pray for Plagues? Their breakout song? Arguably the best on their first official album?
Dude he already covered pray for plagues on his channel xD
He even covered it
@@cdt3742 good to know 😬
If he reacted to Braille that would be elite
I think it's not the best one of "cause your blessings" but definitely a banger
I recommend that you react to more than bring me the horizon, such as Braille, a Lot like Vegas, medusa, rawr. etc, please react especially to OFF THE HEEZAY please please please
That first album is straight gold
Back to that old OLD bmth ay? This reaction was jokes 😂
One thing I like about them is they do have a very diverse discography, and imo they've gotten better over time
Diverse is quite the understatement, they did so many different genres but always maintaining their identity. Their growth is insane and they are talented, not much more to add. They'll always be my favorite band
Yessss 🔥
TTS is my fav album/record by them
And I love everything by them
Except maybe that wierd ep In late 2019 (idk what to think of it)
This video really made me realize how much Nik actually cares about the band’s ambition to grow and evolve and not just that heavier = better. Respect for that.
This may be my favorite reaction from Nick due to the fact that he didn’t expect him to sound like this and neither did I
Been an age since I listened to this EP what a throwback, old BMTH has such a fond place in my heart
I think a better song from the EP is ‘Rawwwrr!’ (Yes they had a song called rawr), a bit more melodic in places whilst still having the dissonance
The intro Riff into it is so fucking fun 😂
bedroom sessions/TIWTEOYSWMF is best bring me the horizon
I'd forgotten how funny the end of that video is 🤣
3:52 "I better hear a good RAWR from this"
*doesn't even know a song called RAWWR by BMTH even exists...*
This takes me back, I went to the EP launch party for this in the Birmingham barfly and it was an amazing gig
I remember seeing this live in 2005 in London, fuck I’m basically dead I’m so old
Love the old reaction, definitely need more of this. I love all the new music we get in the scene, but what i love more is where it came from, a ton of creativity existed in the early 2000’s. And yeah, you go back to what you grew up with, and it’s this and parkway, soo, guns for show, knives for a pro Nik?
This is what the edge of your seat was made for.... oli vocals were crazy on that ep and count your blessings
Early BMTH hits way different than modern BMTH
Crazy how much they have matured as a band. Never thought for a second they would be as big as what they are now after listening to the ep
You definitely need to check out more of the songs from this EP, they are just as energetic and... Exciting, if you will
Bmth is such an amazing band 😌🖤
Literally almost anything they make is gr8🔥
I FUCKIN' LOVE HIS REACTION VIDEOS! IT IS LIKE PASSION MIXED WITH TRULY EXCITEMENT & DAMN HILARIOUS-FUNNY
You gotta admit BMTH guitarist is underrated.
Honestly these tracks were alot fun to learn growing up, really eerie guitar work. I wish they remastered this album even tho it's pretty short.
I feel like you'd LOVE old Parkway Drive, something off Killing with a Smile or Horizons.
Lol Nik just like 🤣
This song reminded me of them days when we used to jam bands like dead to fall or the Irish front🤘🏼
Another awesome throwback song is All that remains - The weak willed. Would love for you to react to that.
Not sure if there are many I Killed The Prom Queen fans around (Parkway's little brother), but they have has some bangers. Bet It All on Black a favourite, but Say Goodbye and Sharks in your mouth worth a listen for sure!
Whenever I see a thumbnail of Nik listening to old bmth or architects, I get SO happy.
That "dying cassette tape sound" is awesome!! I should use that type of effect lol. I could just imagine my deep voice slowing down and pitching down to like a fart lol
man @nik you laugh but this was one of my top songs in my old metalcore list. you fookin yoongin
Cmon I have waited WSS reaction for a week now :D
I remember when this EP was first released, so many memories watching this video again
Yeah been waiting on the old school reactions
Literally just woke up from the nap
What a way to make my lazy ass wake up
On a different note i notice the improved video dudee! 🔥 🔥 🤘
Well, that definitely was filmed at the London Camden Underworld ;-) Never seen the video before but 100% filmed there
Holy heck. A ton of it is offtime, god I remember when that was like, really common in bands like this. Kinda reminds me of the confusing chaos of super old Fear Before, especially the talking bits lmao. Oh lordy, what a time this was. I was into it back in the day but looking back, this shit goofy gang.
i hope they remaster this and count your blessings one day
I absolutely love this track
re: is amazing as well, damn good stuff
Love all the first at the last stuff from this band
its not about reacting to the old songs its about reacting to the best live performances of the old songs.. just hits different
fucking awesome. love when you do these.
Damn you haven't heard this before? The whole ep is so sick definitely listen to it in your off time
Since you mentioned them a few times, I would love a reaction on one of the The Dillinger Escape Plan songs. My top 3 favourite band of all time.
heard this song on myspace in 2005 when i was in 7th grade, had never heard anything like it before, and have been a fan of this band ever since
Ahh i remember having this as my MySpace song when it came out. Good time
"Breakdown #30 lets Go!"
That killed me 🤣
Niiiiiiik, it played an Old Navy ad right before the breakdown -.-
Crucify Me and It Never Ends are such solid songs
2:15 one of the songs on this EP is call Rawr
Checking in daily for that Nervous reaction... Still waiting, my man...
Finally, the first ep days
hahah no way completely forgot about this song but when you played the video i instantly remembered watching this music video like a million times back in late 2000s. I used to think this was so sick, now it just makes me laugh at how silly it is
Nik is the shroud of metal guitar!
theres a few diff versions of this ep and song and honestly the one thats on spotify now is my favorite, and its SOOOOOOO much better
First got into BMTH from this song. The film clip was on a Metal Hammer dvd and I played that fucking shit out of it.
You NEED to check out some old It Dies Today. Their debut The Caitiff Choir is a marvel.
God I miss this era of BMTH so bad. Check out either Medusa or Pray for plagues they're fucking amazing still some of my favorite songs a decade later.
I was at The Underworld for this video shoot! I remember it almost getting shut down due to kids being carried out after being injured. Another highlight was a guy standing in shock after one take with a clump of someone's hair in his hand with a bit of skin still attached. I wouldn't change anything about my youth and these types of shows haha!
You should listen to "There is a hell..." album. Trust me, you will not regret it! It's not just an album, it's an experience.
For Stevie Wonders (Eyes Only) is my favorite track by them.
My friend taught me the intro back in high-school xD
listen to the old "the plot in you" so heavy and so good.
Yes hey Nik react to the song Troll please
@@cooliocaptin517 one of my favorites! Also any song from from the albums first born or wife beater. I hope they do a 10 year throwback
Reflections - Noir reaction when??
Already done on stream
@@patrykj547 damn I missed it then...
WSS NERVOUS PLS 👁🥵
YEEEEEESSSS
Hope he acknowledges Simon in the song, surprised he didn't for Goliath...
No joke saw Nik and BMTH and immediately went to Spotify thinking there was new BMTH
Sweet, going back in time with reactions. How about, I See Stars-The Common Hours or Filth Friends Unite. The memories!!!
LMAO i didnt expect this you should do more, bmth has a grest discography
When I first heard that song, I was totally pissed. Back in the day, I was listening to punk mainly. But after listening to this track like 100 times, I started listening to more extreme genres. I really liked that EP. I have to revisit their first 3 records. Thanks for the reminder Nik! :)
I love that EP ngl
Yes! Throw it back!!
The Edge Of Time is gold, man!
Would recommend the deathcore medley from the last UK tour if you haven’t checked it out already
@2:40 started getting old Parkway feeling
I’ll always love this ep idk why
Also man yes, definitely do some older stuff, the diversity of bands catalogues and their evolution is really cool to see.
At least for bring me, If you do pray for plagues off count your blessings, the comedown off suicide season and blessed with a curse off there is a hell, you'll see them evolving into the sound in sempiternal.
Thank you gthic
i beg u listen to Oli, Matt and Oli's brother Tom's old band Womb 2 Da Tomb
Oli had some awesome vocals ! Same EP album The song is called rawwwrr it's one of my favorite favorite songs from this album EP same band bring me The horizon
