I know it was partly to preserve his voice, but one of the reasons I don’t care for A7X anymore is because Shadows stopping screaming after Waking The Fallen. Sigh. This song kills

Say what you will about amo stylistically (it wasn't my favourite either) but strategically it was genius. Diversifying your range is the best way of getting as wide an audience as possible not only into your band, but into the wider scene, pumping fresh blood into the whole alternative ecosystem.
Sempiternal was my gateway and, while heavier than amo, it was light enough to get on Radio 1. Without that I wouldn't have learned the earlier albums even existed. It's kinda like investing in stocks - it's better to invest in more than one kind so you can reap the benefits of a bunch of different markets all at the same time. The commercial success breeds financial security breeds creative freedom

One thing I've always found about Bring Me is that they're the one setting trends in the scene. They're unafraid of pushing the envelope and having everyone else follow in the following year or two.
Well, in the case of this song in particular, they didn't set the trend. Tallah and Gloom In the Corner have been doing nu-core before BMTH, and both Left To Suffer and Darko US have featured rap artists in one of their songs as well. That being said, I hope that more bands will do it now that BMTH has shown it can work.

I like these reactions way more, because he really goes into the structure, cords and stuff instead of just making some noises when the breakdown kicks in.
I saw BMTH in London for their NX_GN tour and hearing Oli talk about how excited he is that he's been able to start screaming again and go back to their roots for their next album nearly made me cry. And doing Diamonds Aren't Forever - a song he hasn't been able to do in over a decade, and the first ever BMTH I ever heard - towards the end of the set, OMG I WAS BAWLING!!! I can't wait to see what they have lined up!
Been a BMTH fan since There Is A Hell. Their musical changes were exactly at the same time when my music starts maturing. Seeing them go back to their roots like this makes me happy as a fan for 12 fucking years

This song is so genuinely fun to listen to. Catchy, heavy and each part knows when to come in and dip out without overstaying it's welcome. Truly unbeatable.

The recent interview with Jordan is so funny when asked how he keeps up with a creative like Oli. He's just like "Yep..."😂 Everytime I start to doubt them, goddamn they pull it off. It's actually incredible how they can transcend genres so successfully.

This year has been absolutely incredible for metal as a genre. I think Sleep Token, BMTH, and A7X as a collective have breathed much needed life into the prog/modern metal scene. The pure experimentation and level of execution from these guys is absolutely commendable

@@mikee9511 Eh, I feel like TDWS is their worst album of the three. It isn’t bad, but the beautiful melodies that we’re used to were very watered down and almost radio-friendly. The heavy shit slapped though and I like that they experimented with electronics a bit (Living in Tragedy is goated).

Some songs Bring Me the Horizon makes are just very heavy, this is just insane. Reminds me of when I listened to Kingslayer or Blacklist, it really surprised me just how fucking heavy they can go.

Hey Nic, it's so fucking amazing to watch you enjoy this new Bring Me The Horizon song! Yes, i feel it too... it brings me back to the good old times, when BMTH was the Band that i was looking for. That feelings, that suffering, that they know to transport over there music. Also this melodies and these "blast beats and the Punk o Matic riffs combined with the Deathcoresound" at the end, is taking me to a place where i wasn't there for a long time...to a place i was longing for! It feels also like a bridge between the "forgotten times" and the " NEW GEN". BMTH knows how to combine the sorrow of yesterday, with the hope of the future! I think you're absolutely right with this song.... The chorus bangs a lot and i think they are realy get lost and "found the pit of hell" :D!!! This new song means so fucking much to me.... I am sure it helps me to survive a hard time, that stands right in front of me out of a personal view. I know, it's not that what you usually do on youtube... but hope you will read this and you're ready to do a cover of this absolutely amazing track!
